Inside Anarchy, the strong take what they want. It’s the most secure prison for feral alphas on the continent. No cameras. No guards. No laws.

And I’m the first female omega to be locked inside.

Taught that I’m sinful and broken, I’ve been forced to suffer my heats alone. A penance—so maybe, one day, I would be worthy of good alphas. But one mistake destroyed that fragile bargain, and they dropped me down here—a touch-starved omega trapped in a prison of beasts.

I should have died the first night. But instead of being torn apart, I found something I never believed I would have—mates.

Traded from saints to sinners, I expected damnation, but Phantom, Karma, Vandle, and Sin don’t care how much atonement I’d paid before they saved me.
Instead, I was claimed. Shielded. And they are teaching me worship like I've never seen.

Their chance at freedom is coming soon, but Anarchy devours what is sacred, and my pack has a problem: in a prison where omegas are currency, our pack has two.

And we have ten days to survive in a prison full of feral alphas who would kill my mates and keep me caged here forever.

This book is a MFMMM why choose. This book has a double omega dynamic to it, but the male omega is not with the alphas in the main story. It can be read as a standalone but exists in the larger PoisonVerse Universe!

If you love dark, gritty Omegaverse with strong emotions, Anarchy is definitely worth reading!

Crescent is an omega thrown into a prison built for feral alphas—where lawlessness isn’t just common, it’s survival. Things seem hopeless—until her scent-matched mates find her. They’re on a 10-day countdown to possible freedom with a target on their backs. Now they have to survive together long enough to make it out.

This book was so good! Crescent was so battered and traumatized, and watching her slowly start to believe she deserves love and safety had me misty-eyed more than once. Her alphas have their own trauma too, but instead of pushing her away or creating unnecessary angst, they recognize her as their salvation just as much as they are hers. Emotional maturity—we love to see it!

Even with everything she’s endured, Crescent still manages to be funny. Her inner thoughts had me smiling more than once. One line that perfectly sums her up: “I wasn’t built for running. Reading? Yes. Running? Absolutely not.” Same girl, same.

One of my favorite things about this book was that the tension wasn’t within the pack. There’s very little resistance once they realize what Crescent means to them. No dragging out their acceptance of her. No petty drama. The conflict is external, and the real story is about healing—about hurt people choosing each other and building a better future together. Watching the pack come together was honestly the most satisfying part of the whole story.

That said—this book gets gruesome. It does not hold back so, definitely read the content warnings before diving in.
I genuinely hope this becomes a full series because I am not ready to leave this world (or this pack).

✨Thank you to Olivia Lewin and Marie Mackay for the ARC to rate and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Poisonverse books are absolutely amazing, but I personally think these authors have stepped up the Poisonverse with this one here. The layers that these Authors layer their story with is perfectly complex. They add backstory throughout the book when it plays the best role at dragging you further on in. This book absolutely deserves the 5 stars I'm giving it. My only issue is the same as with the rest of the Poisonverse, I'm always left wanting to read more.

Crescent is such a sweet caring omega who just doesn't understand a lot of what is going on, but that's due to what she's gone through in her life. She's a bit odd, and that lets us all know that there isn't anything wrong with being odd. She doesn't exactly love what you'd expect an omega to love, but it shows how perfect she is for her pack and how much she is clearly what they need.

Sin's character profile alone was a mind fu(k of its own. He's so complex and caring throughout, his relationship with Crescent is unique and perfect. The character development with him towards the end… no spoilers, but dang, do I want more of those red eyes!

Karma was the only person besides Crescent who had their own highlighted color, I just love him so much. He's definitely one of those characters that caught my attention, and I was hooked.

Phantom, you can just tell he holds the weight of everyone on his shoulders. He's definitely the one who seems to be able to hold his head on his shoulders, more clearly putting his pack first.

Vander, oh Vander… I absolutely loved when he came into play in the story! The way he understands and knows more than people realize. He's constantly watching and planning ahead.

These four are absolutely the perfect pack for Crescent.

ARC Review ✨

This one is a bit harder for me to write compared to normal because I want to spoil it just to gossip about some of my favorite moments 🫣 this is a dark romance in the sense of the content surrounding Crescent but not in the manner the men treated her. I adored this and I loved how different it was from other omegaverses with the Sin being an omega with Crescent especially in the beginning.

I loved the characters and I loved the personalities of each were so engaged. Karma and Phantom at times felt similar but as the story progressed it was easier to tell their own voices. Sin continued to be favorite til the end though 🫡

I'm interested to stay in the world for sure and I hope another packed is explored in the future.

My only con was at times the story felt a bit dragged out a times especially when the violence felt a bit repetitive.

Overall a great read and I thank the authors for the opportunity to review!

Received an ARC from the authors.

If you are familiar with the Poisonverse, you will not be disappointed. As usual, please read through the content warnings before you dive in.

From the moment the story begins, you’re going to be hooked. I had so many questions, but thankfully they were answered!

Go follow Crescent, Sin, Phantom, Karma and Vandle through Anarchy!

Thank you to Marie Mackay for sending me an eARC in exchange for my honest review, and for having allowed me to continue in her alpha reading team.

Another banger from my favorite Omegaverse author, and this time packing a punch with another fellow author. I admit, I was a little apprehensive to have Marie co-write with Olivia as I personally didn't enjoy Pack of Lies. But this duo worked great together. There was an excellent balance in each other's writing strength that helped the story flow nicely, despite it being lighter than Marie's usual works.

The characters were well distributed and written. You could tell for the most part who wrote who and the way it was split was perfect. Sin is definitely up to Marie's strength and I adored how broken, hurt, defensive, and fiercely protective he was. All throughout the only thing I wanted was for him to be free so that he could finally heal and find himself. Crescent I also adored for being his cute ball of hurt that just wanted to be loved and belong somewhere. Karma and Phantom sometimes felt too similar to me in terms of voice, but I still loved their dynamics especially concerning how they approached Crescent. Though I do lowkey think that there was a preference for Sin x Crescent compared to the other alphas, so I would've liked not to have such an apparent favoritism displayed.

The story itself was rather light in the sense that, compared to the usually heavy, dark themes that characterize Marie, this one only had tension from surviving Anarchy until appeal day with the added fear and trauma that lingered from the character's inner demons. Regardless, I felt the authors did fantastic at keeping the pace going while also having the pack navigate different difficult situations. This could've either felt like the story dragged out needlessly with rather repetitive mundane scenarios, or it would be too rushed. I'm interested in seeing more of Anarchy if there is a chance to expand on other packs, considering on what was hinted by the end.

What wasn't on my bingo card was the plot twist by the last part of the story. This will definitely bring some expansion into the Poisonverse and I'm very intrigued to see how that goes.

Overall, I have yet to read a Marie Mackay book I haven't liked. Anarchy was still installment to the Poisonverse. It's not on my list of favorites compared to her other works, but I definitely enjoyed it. And I love Sin with all my heart.

PS. The librarians were the cutest ever and I honestly only wished they had been present for longer.

Read if you like: dark omegaverse, violence, voyeurism, scent matches, prison setting

I enjoyed how unique the world was with it being set in a prison and the politics of the system.

Crescent has been raised in a cult so she’s extremely sheltered and naive. She pissed me off - from the key stealing and then not sticking to the plan 😭 it went downhill so fast omg
I loved sin a lot, he carried the ENTIRE story and I couldn’t tell you a single thing about the other 3 guys - they all blurred together. I really only liked one character in this book 💀

I found this book to be too long and I was skimming the parts of it. I have a lot of unanswered questions about the corrupt system, why the guys were in there in the first place, and issues with not having enough detail about their back stories.

This one was disappointing. I really had to drag myself to finish it, and it took me forever. I did not appreciate Crescents very childlike demeanor, and I was pretty bored of the relationships really early on. I think sin was the only thing that got me through the book

Wow. This book was everything I could have hoped for and so much more. I don’t even know where to begin. The storyline was so unique and captivating. I’ve never read anything with this setting before, and now I‘m desperate for more. The characters were incredible. I loved every single main character, and their dynamic was so beautiful. It had the perfect balance of everything. I’m kind of sad I finished it so quickly, but I just couldn’t put it down.

Confusing

I couldn't get into this book because I was so confused as to what was happening. I kept feeling like I was missing some part if the story. The premise of the story sounded interesting, but I don't think it was done well.

Simply Splendid! Best Poisonverse novel I’ve read!

Gah! I so needed this read!

**SPOILERS**

Crescent is a gold eye omega who was raised in a zealot religious cult that idolize Alphas and keep omegas as “pets.” Gold eyed omegas are considered cursed and are forbidden contact with “priests” lest they corrupt them. When the high priestesses son leads her to prayer she touches him ungloved and he goes feral, attacking her and forcing unwanted sexual contact. The high priestess catches them before he can completely violate her, blames Crescent for corrupting her son and hands her over to the high priest who drugs her and throws her into ANARCHY, the high level, worst prison out there.

Sin (an omega), Karma, Phantom and Vandal (all alphas) are inmates of Anarchy, waiting on their appeal - a rare chance to escape the hell that is Anarchy prison. Vandal is in a rut, a fugue state and locked up when Crescent arrives and is literally thrown into the prison! Crescent is attacked by an awful inmate Holden, but saved by Sin, who carries her off to his shared cell. He immediately recognizes Crescent as his scent match, and Karma and Phantom realizes it soon after - she’s theirs! Crescent is scared, she trusts these men immediately but doesn’t want to “corrupt” them, because she’s been taught she’s “evil” and causes men to “lose themselves.” When she tries to leave them, she quite literally runs into Vandal, who was brought out of rut by Crescent’s presence. He dark bonds her and she’s immediately satisfied.

The pack knows she’s precious, and rally around her to protect her and give her everything she needs to survive. They are excited knowing their appeal is in a week…they just need to survive that long. Their enemies are circling, and they are desperate.

A lot transpires in Anarchy. And Crescent is a beautiful, adorable, INNOCENT omega who is learning about herself, her designation, and what it means to be pack.

When it seems all hope is lost (they are betrayed, and almost killed by Holden and his men) Sin reveals his true nature…he’s not an omega, he’s a sigma, the strongest and rarest of all designations! He kills Holden, saves Crescent, and they both save their alphas. They hide his red eyes (a mark of his sigma nature) attend the appeal meeting, win their freedom and escape to the forest, where friends of Phantom (from before Anarchy) have set up a home and place for them. Finally, the pack has earned their happily ever after!!

**THOUGHTS/OPINIONS**

I so needed this book after all the duds I’ve read lately! And it’s the best poisonverse novel I’ve read in a long time!!! I had told myself I wouldn’t read another poisonverse novel after “This Pack Of Ours” (which was AWFUL) but I’m so glad that the blurb intrigued me enough to pick this book up and read it!!!!

Crescent is the best omega character I’ve read in a long while! She’s quirky, innocent, darling, adorable and so blasted cute, lol. She’s been kept from the outside world, so she’s innocent of everything…and is learning about herself and designations for the first time. Sin is the PERFECT example of a male omega (even if he really is a sigma!). I loved his character, how he was a perfect match for Crescent and adored how the authors wrote about his relationship to Crescent and his alphas! This book was a spectacular example of how male omegas can be in a pack, be loved by a pack, but not be sexually involved with the male members of the pack. In my opinion there is usually too much unnecessary m/m, m/m/m, m/m/m/m etc these days in omegaverse, or even RH. A little is okay, as long as the FMC is still the focal point, but it feels like authors and writing more and more m/m into novels these days and it isn’t “organic” or plot progressive. And more often than not the FMC gets pushed to the sidelines as the male characters cement their relationships and love. I adored how the authors made it clear that Sin was loved, cherished and protected by his pack without sexual scenes between them. This also opened the way for Sin to be completely sexually devoted to his omega mate, Crescent. Anarchy was the perfect example of a well thought out, well written omegaverse. It was polyamorous WITHOUT the males being sexually involved with each other. They loved each other and were devoted to one another, but their sexual needs were met by their female omega! This type of dynamic is sooooo rarely found in omegaverse and RH these days, and was like a breath of fresh air after a heavily polluted sky!!!

I am so glad I took a chance on Anarchy!!! It has ALL the best elements that an omegaverse, RH, and dark romance should have!!!

You will never catch me turning down a PoisonVerse novel. I’ve been in love with this particular universe author Marie Mackay cultivated ever since she published Havoc Killed Her Alpha and I have no doubt I’ll ride or die for it until Mackay (and her contemporaries) get tired of playing in the sandbox and move onto another.

If you’re already a fan of Mackay’s work, Anarchy hovers somewhere in between the Shattered Omega series and Havoc Killed Her Alpha in terms of darkness and intensity (I’d say Psycho Alphas is more intense, more violent, and spicier than Shattered Omega, so it doesn’t come into play here). Ironically, this book isn’t especially spicy–while this is a book that does get spicier as it goes on, the spice scenes themselves aren’t very explicit or gratuitous. There is a great deal of violence from the very start, but it’s less violent (and less descriptive) than Shattered Omega. The religious/cult trauma and the trauma from being imprisoned creates a great deal of tension both within and without the characters and propels much of the plot.

At a length of 501 pages, there does seem to be an issue with a lag in pacing during the middle third of the book, where it seems like a lot of talking is being done but not a lot of doing. While this portion of the book isn’t devoid of matters like character development and plot movement, it isn’t consistent enough to keep engagement with the book high. I could feel myself start to get a little detached. I have a feeling Mackay and Lewin were using these pages to introduce characters that might be more important in future books, and that’s fine, but it did result in what’s usually called “filler material”.

The book does end really strongly, with a fantastic last 30%. We get more PoisonVerse lore, some special guests, a really good dose of suspense, well-earned revenge, taking down some enemies, and what looks like a pack headed towards their HEA. 3.5⭐️

4.25 stars. This long story is quintuple POV, well written and edited, and a dark, spicy, action packed, prison survival, omegaverse reverse harem romance between Crescent, the female omega lead raised in a cult and dropped into a lawless prison to punish her and make her disappear, and the Banner pack who scoop her up and save her: Sin, the male omega-presenting lead, Phantom, the most stable alpha lead, Karma, the male alpha lead who uses fighting to keep himself somewhat sane, and Vandle, the male alpha pack lead and seer, who hasn’t been sane prior to Crescent’s arrival. I adored the care the males took with Crescent, even in the dark, hard environment they found themselves in. I empathised with the brainwashing and indoctrination Crescent had been raised with, and appreciated the gentle way the males worked to teach her different ways. I enjoyed her growing confidence and personality. I enjoyed Sin’s strength and resilience, and was amused by his shock as revelations about him emerged. I appreciated the careful persona he’d cultivated in the prison, and the contribution he made to his pack. I enjoyed Karma’s self control, even in the midst of rut, and the effort he made to provide Crescent with the things she needed. I enjoyed Phantom’s protectiveness and his future focus. I enjoyed Vandle’s reawakening to sanity and his growing craftiness. I adored the way they worked together as a pack. I enjoyed the spicy intimate moments. I enjoyed the happy for now ending and am curious whether the authors plan to do anything more here.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

Things to note:
-This was an ARC COPY review
-Anything PoisonVerse I've learned is never not amazing.
-I finished this book the day I got the ARC

I usually do or more likely can't stop myself, from writing a review with spoilers. So this time I'm not (a very hard thing for me to do) and I will only say these pieces of advice:

1) if you've never read a PosionVerse let alone an omegaverse book DON'T START HERE!
(no there will be no context as to why, but why you might ask because SPOILERS beyond you wildest dreams. But I would %100 not start the PosionVerse with this book... Again spoilers. Come thank me later.)

2) read the trigger warnings

3) if you've done the two above already and still want to read this book... DO IT! Like I said I've so far never not liked a book by Marie Mackay, and yet again I was not disappointed.

4) still not convinced that's ok. Trigger warnings are there for a reason.... Still waiting to give it a try... Do It. Read It. Don't just trust me read more reviews, look into the PosionVerse and omegaverse. Take everything I said with a grain of salt either way I loved this book and can't wait for more.

Thank you Marie Mackay for the ARC copy and I can't wait to see more PosionVerse in the future.

I do apologize if this is not want you want to see in a review... So I challenge the people who do read this book... After you've read it, review or no review come tell me if you could write a no spoilers review and why... Or more likely how. And if this book blow your mind like it did mine.

When you survive 3 years in anarchy for your second chance....

Crescent, a female omega, arrives at Anarchy and no one knows why - female omegas aren't allowed. Anarchy is only for alphas who are feral that ask to be sent there. And after 3 years, they have a chance to appeal for freedom. For Vandle, Phantom, Karma, and Sin, that chance is coming soon, only 10 days away. So why when they are so close, does Sin decide to do something crazy and claim this omega for himself and his pack. They've just put a target on theri backs. Crescent, she doesn't know the ins and outs of the world, even most of her designation knowledge of being an omega is wrong since growing up in a church cult will do that to you. Now that she's been thrown down into Anarchy, and claimed by a pack, she needs to figure out how to survive and get a handle on her instincts since she's been told her whole life they're wrong.
This story is gritty, lethal, and dark because they things that happen in Anarchy for the packs to survive will curl your toes. And now, with their possible release upon appeal moving closer, things are kicking up into high stakes since there are other residents that don't want them to leave. It's a battle for survival with a few feral alphas in the pack.
I very much appreciate the epilogues and sneak peeks into the packs life after too. And I hope if there'a an upcomign release, we get to see more of this pack and the Kingsman pack - I want them to take down some of these scientists and elites.

4.5 stars - A pretty good story, and I loved the guys!

Crescent was taken from her family then raised in a convent - a cult - that told her many lies about herself. It was because of these lies that she found herself vulnerable and getting assaulted by a High Priest's son. Of course, he could do no wrong, she had tempted him and seduced him. Therefore, the High Priest decided to take on punishing her. She was sent down to Anarchy, where she would likely never be seen by anyone on the surface again.

It's here she meets some feral alphas, Phantom and Karma, as well as an omega, Sin. Sin is not what you'd think of a normal omega, however. He's big, strong, tough, and doesn't cower to alphas, despite them being stronger than him, especially when they use their aura. Luckily for Crescent, Sin decides to rescue her from the other feral alphas down in Anarchy, who all want a piece of her. With the help of his pack and some allies, they got her away and safe. They just need to survive (and help her survive) long enough for their appeal - the only way to get out of Anarchy.

They all form relationships with her, and she begins to realize maybe she isn't as cursed as she was taught. They each bring something relatively unique to the table. Each guy is so good for her and would burn down the earth for her.

Overall, a great story! I love how things turn out for them, and all of Crescent's quirks and traits!

The queens of feral omegas and Alphas have graced us with another amazing 5 star book. This book is set in the underground of the prison where the worst of the worst goes. If they choose to go down there and survive 3 years, they have a chance to get out. The underground should just be Alpha only however several male omegas have been sent down before as punishment and now the first female.

Crescent is a golden pack omega who grew up in a convent, basically run by a religious cult. She has been brainwashed to feel unworthy and evil her whole life. She is thrown down into anarchy after a run in with one of the church leaders’ sons. She is a virgin fmc and they inject her with a drug to make her go into heat. It is like sending a bunny to sl@ughter. There she meets Sin, Karma, Vandle and Phantom; a pack on the verge of going feral and almost to their chance of a hearing to get out of Anarchy.

I love how the mmcs take care of crescent and help her figure out who she is and what lies she has been told. I love seeing her sense of self-worth growing. Sin is my absolute favorite character, and I love how unpredictable he is. There are so many antagonists in this story, and the action is nonstop. On top of that the spice is next level hot. The character growth between the mmcs is a great story plot, I love the found family trope, and these authors do it so well.

This story is beautifully written and engaging, one of those books I will be coming back to read again and again.

“Try and feed me, and I’ll stab you in the eye with a fork.”

“Could you order Phantom to go stick his head in the toilet?”

Crescent is sent into Anarchy, a place located under an institution for feral alphas. In Anarchy, those feral alphas are allowed to roam free. It's a lawless place, but that's not what she's most worried about. What she's most worried about, is the possibility that she might harm the thousand plus alphas who dwell in Anarchy.

Themes include:
Abuse of power
Mental illness
Survival in an institutional society
Prison politics

The story and world building were consistent. However, there was a colorblind character whose chapters often described things with color. Like someone's yellow eyes, or long Auburn Hair.

Crescent has been so brainwashed that it is borderline painful to read her thought processes. She's a very gentle and kind hearted soul. Sin, Phantom, Karma, and Vandle are all much easier to relate to. Rough around the edges, a little wild, but good at their core. Their perspectives are in no way interchangeable.

Although it takes a while for them to actually say the words, the relationships are pretty much Insta-love.

I enjoyed the new concepts introduced to the PoisonVerse, and the story kept me on the edge of my seat at times. Although at times the plot felt a little ham fisted.

I found the writing quality and pacing just perfect for my taste. Overall, I would be willing to read this book again.

Plot was fun, and the prison made for a very interesting setting. I thought Sin as a character was unique, and brought an interesting harmony to the pack dynamics.

Only real downsides were that something about it felt a bit "off" with the balance of the storytelling, and this bled into the relationships a bit. It felt like a lot of times you wouldn't hear from a characters perspective for a while, then they would get a good chunk of the story focusing on their perspective. Like toward the end you rarely heard from Phantom, and he wasn't really involved in the heat until the end. There was also a good chunk near the middle where you didn't really hear from Karma.

A more personal problem is that I think I will just never get over the idea of "Aura fights". For some reason I just find that extremely jarring. Namely because I don't feel like it's ever been really described well. Like what is the aura other than some mystical force? What causes it? So I'm just left to my own imagination and I can't stop thinking of a Dragon Ball Z type anime fight, and I just... I cannot take that seriously for some reason. Everything else, the omegaverse aspects, pack dynamics, designations, sure. But for some reason the anime fights, are somehow drawing me out of the story every time :/.

What happens when you drop a touch‑starved omega into a prison full of feral alphas? Crescent certainly isn’t expecting protection and worship to rise out of a place built on violence and death.

If you’re familiar with MacKay’s PoisonVerse, you’ll notice immediately that this universe plays by completely different rules. Anarchy is dark, intense, and built on one of the most complex bond systems I’ve read.

The bonds, the auras, and omega classifications don't seem to be recycled concepts. I genuinely haven’t read another omegaverse that works quite like this. Even after reading the majority of the PoisonVerse series, I still found myself confused at times because this world operates so differently. Gold pack omegas? Not as peachy as you think. A glossary at the end would really come in handy, since this world is so dense and distinct from typical omegaverse setups.

MacKay also has a talent for writing male characters who never blur together. Phantom, Karma, Vandle, and Sin each have their own instincts, energy, and presence. You always know exactly who’s in the room. Her alphas are distinct, memorable, and impossible to mix up.

Another gem in this series.

Tropes:
-Human Omegaverse
-🧒🏻👩🏻🧒🏿👦🏾👨🏼MFMMM
-🧒🏻Male Omega
-POC MMC
-Prison setting

Triggers are found at the beginning of the book.

So much more than I expected! I thoroughly enjoyed this read—with the world building in the prison, complicated (but not douchey) MMCs, and good tension it would be hard not to enjoy.

Bonus points for muli-POVs. Automatic win on that.

All of the MMCs have a distinct voice and backstory, and all of their relationships with the FMC are built out individually. Guess what I can do? Sin, Vandle, Karma, Phantom. Boom all the MMCs listed at the top of my head and weren't forgotten 10 minutes after reading. Honestly, that doesn't happen often when I read OV so I want to give props for flushing out these characters fully.

I did want to take off a star for the FMCs name though...Crescent? Come on now. (however I resisted)

The real reason this wasn't a perfect 5/5 for me was the FMCs development. She is a well-built and like-able character, with a unique and dark background. My issue though was that when the MF keys came out (literally), it was like she regressed to being wacky. Wtf was with the keys? Even now I don't know the purpose of them and why they made her behave like a sheltered 8 year old. None of those were breaker for the story, but just something that took me out of it a bit.

Still a really enjoyable read and I highly recommend!

Firstly, after reading i cannot wait for a special edition because I desperately want this on my shelf. I also want to thank the authors because before I found them I still thought omegaverse type books were restricted to wattpad and Tumblr. Imagine my surprise when I found authors that made thrilling plots and an amazing universe to accompany such a beastiel as well as smutty genre.
SPOILERS HERE
I loved that we went full circle from Shattered omega where Vandle was first mentioned. I'm also ecstatic about the new designation introduction! It feels absolutely perfect the way Sigma was portrayed and built into the bones of the universe. I dont know if any of the authors involved have planned it but with the addition of Sigmas I can really envision a great big physical or social war that either breaks or truly reforms not only the institute but also how society views designations. I know there are so many books already but as a reader, I feel like there's so much more in store for us! I'm on the edge of my seat for a second book to Anarchy or at the very least, another book in the poisonverse! So yeah, thats how this book made me feel. Xoxo

I enjoyed Anarchy a lot, as I do with every PoisonVerse book as all the PoisonVerse authors are incredible. This book was very unique in its setting. I had not read an Omegaverse book set in a prison before this one and I enjoyed the different situations the setting was able to provide. The cage scene was glorious and I loved Crescent’s nesting habits.

In terms of characters, I enjoyed Crescent but she’s not my favorite omega from the PoisonVerse. Thistle and Havoc are still split for that title for me, but having an omega so innocent and soft was fun with such a harsh setting and intense alphas. It made for a unique dynamic and a lot of fun scenes. Out of the other characters, Sin is my favorite. He’s fun, intense, and incredibly sexy. Also the dynamic between him and Crescent is so cute and I enjoyed reading every scene between them.

The pacing was good, the writing was phenomenal like it always is with Marie and Olivia, and the spice was hot and fun. I was hoping for a bit more intensity in the spicy scenes due to the nature of the prison, but I did enjoy the scenes we received! Overall, an amazing read and one I would recommend. 10/10, I hope we get more!

I loved this book! 5/5 for me. I’m a big fan of the poisonverse and this book is no exception!

The majority of the book takes place in a prison setting. There are definitely dark things that happen but I didn’t find this book as dark as the shattered omega series. The FMC is very soft and definitely naive. She makes some frustrating decisions throughout the book but it is almost certainly due to where she came from and what she had been through. Shes very lovable and sweet though. All of the characters are struggling from their different dark pasts but they all have growth throughout.

There’s an absolutely surprising twist that happens! I knew something was up but all of my guesses were completely incorrect and I loved it!

Make sure to read the content warning by the authors at the beginning of the book if you have anything you might not want to see on page!

I received this book as an ARC from the authors but my opinion is based on the book itself. To be fair I have loved every book I’ve read by Marie Mackay and this is probably my 6th or 7th book.

Anarchy is a standalone but a BIG book with lots to keep you sucked in and even though it is a standalone, it is within the PoisonVerse Universe so reading the other books just gives you a little bit more especially when past characters make appearances (Shatter and her pack). This series is a little darker than your typical omegaverse and the authors give you so much more than you are used to in those storylines. Always make yourself familiar with the trigger warnings - - my triggers are not your triggers

The MMC all are completely different and with multiple characters in the relationship its so much easier to tell them apart then in other books that I have read. One of the cool things that I found with this storyline for Crescent is that she gets claimed into a pack that already has a Male Omega in it but the setting is in a prison so there is so much more here. But the authors make you feel for these characters as I just want to give Crescent the biggest hug ever especially with her backstory and the guys (whew - - hot) Phantom, Karma, Vandle and Sin

Just want to say, definitely pay attention to the trigger warnings if uncomfortable. Not too graphic for some of them but better to be safe!

This was another winner for me in the PoisonVerse! I couldn't put it down once I started (unless life made me: boo!). Crescent was the sweetest with a perchance of pickpocketing keys which I loved. The whole dynamic and past of Sin, Vandle, Karma and Phantom was great and enjoyed how their relationships got better and stabilised as the book went on. Sin and Crescent are just too cute together. I loved Karma's slight unhinged craziness, phantom's seriousness bordering on being the parent figure of the pack and Vandle's relaxed nature when it came to addressing the "keys" incident.

I would love to learn more about the library pack and maybe get a glimpse into Liam's fate in the prison! Can't recommend this new addition to the PoisonVerse enough and looking forward to the next one!

OV masterpiece!!!!!

DO NOT SKIP THIS BOOK. holy smokes Batman! I just read a masterpiece in OV Heaven. This story has everything you could want from a dark-ish omega verse. It was so well written and edited, and I couldn’t tear myself away from the story. But I think the most important thing that these authors should be applauded for was the fact they were able to make such an interesting story and keep you so entertained, and they never once had to resort to meaningless or gratuitous spicy scenes to fill the pages or move the pack connection along. Every spicy scene had a purpose, and it was so well written. It takes a lot of talent to be able to progress An OV story along without having to resort to gratuitous spiciness. Kudos to these authors and I PRAY they decide to write more stories in this particular universe because I’m very intrigued by the sigma situation. I need more!!! lol

As much as I love smutty Omegaverse lit, Anarchy could have been so much better. Phantom, Sin, and Karma were very similar characters. (Though I understand they had their own, very different traumas,) I just couldn't tell who's POV it was without going back and seeing who was speaking.

Not to say this is bad; not at all. I very much love the finding-love-in-prison trope. Especially a place as lawless as Anarchy. And having only one girl omega dropped down into a pit of Alphas? *chef's kiss* The chaos is beautiful. The politics is very interesting and I love the worldbuilding that went into this book. I love the different designations and learning more about each one throughout the book. (I would be interested to know if the Emerald pack and the Archiva pack end up with their own happily ever after's as well.)

The writing is solid as well. I was able to read quickly and keep engaged throughout it. The only parts that tripped me up were when I knew Crescent had something to do with the keys.

All and all, a decent read! 3 stars from me <3

This book starts at a phrenic pace and it never stops.
This is such a great story about how poor Crescent was dropped in what was similar to a battle ground and had to find a way to survive.
I love how, even though everything is an uphill battle, she manages to develop and expand her character and learn new things. Some things are interesting and others are very naughty!
The males in the story range from morally grey to pitch black. I love Sin as he is not what you think and he manages to bring humour to the story, even if it is unintentional. I love the scenes with Karma and Phantom and how Sin tortures them. So funny! Whilst, Vandle is a different beast entirely and I love the turnaround from total psycho to pack lead.
The best bit about this story is the fact that you think you know what his happening, but the story goes in a completely different direction and that twist, what a treat!
This is a great story and I would love to read more books in this series!
