Life sometimes doesn't happen the way you envision it. One tragic event can change your life, how you decide to handle it is your choice. Hannah's life was turned upside down at a young age but she made the bold decision to take control of her destiny not expecting she would uncover a family secret and find the loves of her life. Brothers of the heart, Spade and Nick have been best friends since childhood. Having hidden talents between them, they became the most sought after two-man team for special ops until they grew tired of the dark side of their jobs. "Retiring" from their positions, they jumped at the opportunity to help the development of a new private security firm. In their personal lives they'd resigned themselves to the fact that never would they find a woman that was right for them; having known all their lives that they could only love one woman between them; then in walked Hannah Ackerman and Fate intervened.

Katorah Kenway

Writing under the pseudonym of Katorah Kenway, or Katorah K, she grew up with a love of books from the time she was ten years old when a teacher introduced her to the words of Beverly Cleary. From that point forward she read everything she could get her hands on for both enjoyment and knowledge.

Currently pursuing her second chance at life with the help of friends from around the world, she chose to turn her love of books into a new hobby. With her laptop practically glued to her legs, she's spent the past couple of years pounding on the keys to create numerous story lines. Finally picking one whose characters spoke to her on a personal level, the Ackerman Security Series was born. The characters in the book are constantly in her mind telling her what they want to do and what direction the series should go.

In her spare time she likes to read, write, and research. A multi-tasker, she always has something new and different going on. While she has always enjoyed a wide range of musical genre, she's recently discovering there is a whole new set of tunes out there and has been exploring those through the world of YouTube.

While she likes to keep her family life private, hence the pseudonym, she wants to acknowledge that her child has given her the strength and courage to pursue her writing career along with the close knit group of friends she has from around the world.

Why did she choose a smiling latte for her profile pic? Because she is addicted to soul-warming drinks and her philosophy in life is no matter what bumps you run into, no matter what hurdles you have to cross, keep smiling. It'll make you feel better and maybe bring a smile to someone else's face in the world which is just one step closer to happiness all around.

This, for me, was an eagerly anticipated read and its delights me to be able to say, it was worth the wait. Ms. Kenway has the extraordinary talent of combining just the perfect blend of romance and mystery, passion and playfulness to keep one's attention riveted from beginning to end. Hannah is a strong, sassy miss that I totally identify with and it was easy to fall in love with her. I love portrayals of women who kick ass and take names while making no apologies.

If you're looking for a quick, colorful and all around scintillating read, look no further. My only question at this point is when can I "Have" more? Ms. Kenway, write on. Write on!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading ‘Hers To Have’ by Katorah Kenway. The writing flowed well, a definite page turner. I couldn’t put it down, yet when I got to the end I was like NO WAY! Ms. Kenway left a cliff hanger that has me chomping at the bit waiting for book #2. She introduces you to characters that you definitely want to get to know better. Already I’m asking if this one gets a book and what about that one. Surely you’re going to give so and so a book? This is one author I will definitely read again.

Having met Katorah through a writing group, I initially picked this book up just so see what kind of stories she writes. I was blown away!

There are some love scenes that are detailed enough that some readers may be uncomfortable, but the fast paced tale about the heir to a Security company is very worth the read. I highly recommend this book.

I am so happy to say that I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads. It was a pleasure to participate.

Something threw me off of this story from the very beginning. When did this book become a fantasy book where everybody has the ability of telepathy? That is so unbelievable that 4 people that work at the same company have that ability. That's ridiculous!!! And now the author added 2+2 more people into the mix!!! But I will keep reading and keep all judgements to myself.

Hannah is a character I did not connect with. She was not who she says she is. She thinks she is a dominatrix. She showed no signs of being that. Her parents were open about what they did but just because a person would like to and has a desire dominate someone doesn't mean that's what you are. And just because she dresses the part doesn't make you that type of character. Yeah she has some boots that make her feel dominate but that ain't jack squat. I can dress up as a police officer but it doesn't make me an officer of the law. You don't see me going out and arresting people. That was not a true depiction of who Hannah is. And then she had telekinesis, can communicate with animals with her mind, and can crush people's bones with her mind. Guh please!!!

Nick and Spade are 2 selfish men. "While they knew she was to young for any type of pursuit by them, since they were much older than she was, they were also determined to make they would be her only true lovers." They have stunted any growth her love life would have. They are killing any feelings she would have with another man who would want to be with her. They have fallen for her so quickly but they are too old so they are going to make her fall in love with them so she has no choice than to let them go. From my guess these are early- or mid-40 year old men. They too old to be messing with that girl!!! Gross!!!

Why is Uncle Harm so calm about this situation of 2 old men chasing after an 18 year old? Doesn't he know nothing good comes from a threesome? But later you find out that Hannah's parents and Harm was in a similar three way situation. That's just stupid (I couldn't find a better word). All the men who have these telepathic links are willing to share women: Harm and Christian, Dodge and Nick, and those 2 other dudes).

I also have learned that the author has a habit of just sticking characters in the book to just put them there. Who the heck is Roman? That dude just came out of nowhere. The author have no background facts about him other than the fact that he has been watching her grow up. And later it's written that they never went out on a date or were friends. If that is the case how did he end up at her house without being stopped at the door and how is he allowed to be left alone with her to talk? And when he is rejected, he puts a knife to her back at one point and abducted her at another point??!! Nah. That makes no sense. Can't just stick characters in there that have really no significance and give them a center story only to jerk them out.

The author struck again. Putting a character out there for no reason. Who the heck is Genesis Baker???!!! You will realize (if you decide to read this awful book) that she was not mentioned til the end of the book. I had to look back to see of I missed it. No I did not.

I would not recommend this book to anyone. And the author has the nerve to have 2 books after this one.

Wasn't expecting to be left hanging. Wow! What an ending to this story. Hope I like Nat as much as Hannah, but I am not sure yet. Guess I have to read book 2.
