I'm really intrigued by the tiny house movement. I'd done a bunch of research before I picked up Tiny Houses: A Beginner's Guide to Living Small. I have to say, this is an absolute beginner's guide. If you know anything about tiny houses you're probably ahead of this book. There's also some info in here that's just silly.

For example: "Don't use sheetrock inside a tiny house that is to be moved, because of the cracks in the sheetrock joints. Instead use either solid pine logs or 1-inch x 6-inch tongue and groove eastern white pine boards.."

Really? That the only option? What about all the folks who build with plywood and other types of wood?

The book is really a thin overview. Not much depth.

This was atrocious, and a terrible disservice to the tiny home community. The topics were all over the place (colors to paint your bathroom to clear cutting of forests) and none in depth to have any meaningful information. If this was he only resource for "beginners to tiny houses), there would be zero interest. Move away rom this book.

Il movimento delle microcase è molto interessante, e in questo libro ne viene fatta una panoramica, andando da come strutturare gli armadi a trucchi eco per riciclare l'acqua piovana e altro. Non è particolarmente ben strutturato, ma se ne possono avere degli spunti interessanti.

If this book was written as a senior project in high school, it would get an A. But, it is an actual book that I spent my actual Amazon settlement pennies on so it gets 2 stars. I was excited to learn more about tiny homes, but there wasn't much substance.

A very good tiny read.

Great things everyone should think about, even if you don't subscribe to the "downsizing" movement. Looking forward to additional research.
