Things I have to say about this volume, with a warning that there be spoilers ahead:

- The Sloth vs Armstrongs-Sigizumi duel is definitely the most ridiculous of all. I'm not yet entirely sure whether they've killed him or sent him into involuntary hibernation again. Whatever they've done here, I hope it's the last we see of this Sin. It was as ludicrous as fighting a Category 5 tornado, and whilst that in itself is funny, it can become tiresome quickly because it's all too evident you can't kill a force of nature like that.

- Buccaneer and Foo, you magnificent old tough nuts! I'll shed a tear for the pair of you, and say don't worry, you're not going to Hell with that bastard Wrath. He's going down there alone, whilst you go up.
There's such beautiful, poetic symmetry in it being two old soldiers that take out the most terrifying of the Sins, also an old soldier. I didn't expect it at all, but it was so fitting. I was expecting it to be Wrath vs Greed, round two, and was rooting for Greed to win this round, so this duel was a shock. Sad, and epic, the best in the volume, and overall the second best duel in this final battle sequence after Mustang vs Envy. Rankings are definitely going to change once I'm done with all of FMA.

- I wish First Lady Bradley had seen her husband in action, because she needs to know the truth about King Bradley, see it with her own eyes so she believes it. But, at the same time, I don't want her to ever learn the truth about Bradley and Selim. Poor woman, she's so kind and good-natured, and it would shatter her beyond recovery.

- Methinks Arakawa-san is not-so-secretly infatuated with Mustang from the Good Guys, and Greed from the Bad Guys. These two always get the coolest clashes, at least those that I consider the best. Even Alphonse has got a great duel with Wrath, whilst the protagonist Edward gets . . . uh, whatever. I hope this doesn't mean Arakawa is reserving Father for Edward, because that one is Ho's and only Ho's. If anyone but Ho takes out the Father of the Sins, I'm going to be very displeased.

- Part of why I want Ho to be the one to destroy Father is the same thematic symmetry as in Wrath's demise; he would get offed by his own creation and the souls of those he murdered to attain his power. Nemesis comes for Hubris, and the souls are the Furies, as I've been insisting all along, thus the possibility of Edward taking Ho's spot is displeasing to me.
But also there's something else: the revenge path arc isn't complete yet. Arakawa has explored this theme with Scar first, and Mustang next, but the way I'm seeing it, Hohenheim is the third. With the difference that Hohenheim doesn't have the demons of rage and vindictiveness that plagued Scar and Mustang; his is more about justice. And he pursues his objective free of retaliatory anger, of which Edward isn't entirely free (he's still too temperamental and impulsive and adolescent).

That's it, on to the next!

Here we see Wrath finally go all out. So far we've had him duel singular opponents and pull off another neat quick-draw trick or two - impressive, formidable, but nothing that bad. Then he takes on an army single-handed without getting a scratch! All of a sudden it's made abundantly clear why everyone is so scared of this guy. And he's old! Just how terrifying was he in his prime?

On the other hand, I question the decision to lock away the other Wrath candidates, and turn them into brainwashed super-elite puppet soldiers. Being that they were initially trained as leaders of the country, with varied education and skillsets, couldn't they have better served as generals and retainers? Feels like a bit of a waste on their part. Maybe it was just the gold-toothed doctor being a dick.

Good cliffhanger.

Ooh, I finally get a sense of excitement from the series as the final battle seesaws back and forth and sacrifices are made . Once again, it really boosts the book when Edward and Alphonse barely show up at all, though they -- and 30+ characters -- do get crammed in here around the big action scenes.

what I have to say about the whole series....AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! Best manga i've ever read. The plot line is awesome,as is the art, there's just enough fighting to keep the reader interested but not enough to completely turn off all readers, the romance in the story is how my friend Delakay would say "Well placed" it's apparent enough for the reader to be interested in it but subtle enough that it doesn't take over the whole story, and the mystery and tension kept me hooked through out every book! I recommend this series to everyone and anyone!!!

This was a good volume and starts off with them having secured the central base and its King Bradley return and he fights like anything and its good to see, its Greed and Lanfans Grandpa vs Bradley and its bloody and brutal but then again there are big revelations and also good to see the evolution of Lings character. The fight has some big consequences

Plus whatever that strange light is towards the end? The Reckoning?

Great volume and had lots of moving parts and gives us epic fights and also great moments for Izumi which was about time! The art was spectacular especially sequences towards the end!

One of my 5 favourite things about this series is the bad ass women. Olivier Armstrong is fantastic and Izumi Curtis is the ultimate bad ass...in freaking flip flops no less. She also might be my spirit animal as if I don't need another. My heart is all a pitter patter after this volume. I'm so sad to be coming up on the end.

Also this quote from Olivier, <3<3<3 : The young will inherit the future, but right now we adults bear the burden of the present...so let's show the next generation how it's done.

Bugün zamanın nasıl geçtiğini anlamadan bir kaç cildi okumuşum. Sona yaklaştıkça olaylar oldukça heyecanlı bir hale geldi. Bu sayının sonu oldukça fena bitti, devamı nasıl olacak merak ediyorum.

That's some fast-paced sh!t we got there. So fast that there are some pages that took me a few seconds before finally realizing what is really happening. But despite such hiccups here and there, Arakawa still delivers an expertly crafted story. The action scenes are as always, very, very cinematic. The story elements are unpredictable and always keep me at the edge of my seat. Reading FMA is an awesome experience.

The battle for Central City is just heating up, with Arakawa carefully balancing the tide of war to a state at which you really won't know which side would win. From the narrative standpoint, such is really a bug feat. Her creative talent is oozing all over the pages of this volume!

I can't wait to read the last three volumes of FMA, although a bit depressed knowing that this reading experience will end soon, I am nonetheless in for the ride.

I really admired Van this volume. His dedication and how he even shares about emotion was on point and just like KICK HIS BUTT VAN, KICK HIS BUTT!!

GREEEEDDDDDD!! Love to see him on page and just like NOOOO when it ended on a cliffhanger concerning his story and I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!! Also Foo!!! *cries*

I am SO nervous for what is to come, but this was an incredible action-packed volume I deeply enjoyed!!!

I'm kind of running out of things to say about each individual volume of this series because I'm reading and reviewing them so quickly but oh boy am I having fun! Wrath is back in this volume and it's so much fun when he is around. I loved seeing him and Greed fight again. The ending of this volume was great (even though I am super nervous about whatever is gonna happen next!)

The final push is here. Much needed help from both ends makes for some exciting battles that allow them to breathe a little until Father enters the final phase of his huge plan.

¿A dónde irán a parar?

Este volumen incluye los capítulos 96 – 99.

Very good. As always, the sections with Lin were gripping. The battle between Greed and Lin for dominance over Lin's body was never more affecting than here, when his longtime friend/bodyguard Foo's life is close to its end.

Wrath/Bradley makes a dynamic reappearance and does a great show of his swordsmanship, and Buccaneer squares off against him. It'll be interesting to see who survives. I've grown fond of Lin's people and the Briggs troops.

The cliffhanger was a bit out of the blue and unspectacular when compared to the emotional stakes of the rest of the volume, which is why I rated 4 stars instead of 5. But still, a great read.

My favorite volume in a while. I really got a kick out of seeing General Armstrong and Izumi Curtis fighting alongside each other!

There’s a lot of fight scenes in this volume, similar to the last one. There’s been less emotional moments and introspection the past 10 volumes or so, but I’m still enjoying seeing everyone come together for the last battle.
