Aphrodite knows better than anyone how the heart works. Just don’t ask her to figure out her own.

She’s been away from Olympus for weeks, which wasn’t near long enough for her to move on from everything that happened, to get past the betrayal and loss. She has no idea what she’s walking into when she gets back other than a new competition, this time against Artemis. The go

She has already released the new version of the first book "Paper Fools" and the next book will released next week. It's called Shift. So if you haven't read any of the books yet I recommend starting with Paper Fools. She is completely rewriting the series and has changed a lot in the books, so it's not just a cover and title change. (less)

I’ve never come across such beautiful writing until I started reading Staci Hart’s work. She has this ease and innocence with her writing that absolutely blows everyone else out of the water. Her writing is always backed up with the most amazing and complex characters and unique and refreshing storylines. There is absolutely no one I can compare to this woman. She is as unique as her writing style, and the minute a new book from her pops up on my iPad, everything else ceases to exist. Staci Hart ...more

Please note: This is book three in the "Hearts & Arrows" series and I recommend reading Paper Fools and Shift first!

From Darkness is the third and final book in Staci Hart's "Hearts & Arrows" series and I procrastinated reading it for six months. If you've read my review of Shift, the second book in this series, then you know that I didn't like it. Although I was really intrigued by the blurb of From Darkness, I just could

From Darkness by Staci Hart is an intricate and multifaceted layered romance that was brimming with all the feels. In this third installment, Staci continues to mesmerize and lure me with her heartfelt, passion, and intense prose. In this story, Staci relays the important message of redemption, forgiveness, healing and love. The human counterparts in this story played a major factor as to why I was hooked with this book. 4 Love Hurts CROWNS

From Darkness by Staci Har is my favorite Hearts and Arrows book yet. Unlike the previous two books, Ms.Hart truly examines the affects of lost love and how it alters us forever, and I found myself moved by not only the story of Josie and Jon but also Artemis and Aphrodite.

As with the previous books, From Darkness focuses on the gods, particularly one of the Olympians against Aphrodite in the game of love. This book in particular focuses on lo

After everything that happened at the end of the second book, Shift, Aphrodite is devastated and in a bad place as she treks through uncharted territory. If she could avoid going back to Olympus she would but it’s time for another competition so she is forced to meet her problems head on.
She couldn’t hide any longer, couldn’t avoid turning the page, and she didn’t like what she knew was coming…
Everything had changed, and there was no going back. And in that, she f

I'm still wickedly in love with the idea of the gods playing with human lives to liven up their own. We've seen Dita triumph in past contests while paying a heavy price in her own love life. For all that she can come across as shallow and flighty at times, she makes some hard decisions that cost her dearly. I respect that.

Fresh off her own heartbreak, Aphrodite has to put her player on the road to love while trying to outmaneuver Artemis. Honestly, Dita's a mess. She makes some bad choices of he

”He hurt you, she told herself. He left you, she pleaded with her heart. He chose her, was the only thought that made a dent, and she found her resolve as she drove away.”

This series is 100% just BLOWING me away. I can’t. I seriously CAN NOT. Staci Hart has created a world that proves love is the single most ultimate ruler of everything. Love ALWAYS wins, and this series drives that fact home extremely well.

This series has single handedly become an all time favorite of mine.

From Darkness by Staci Hart is heart pounding, breathtaking BRILLIANCE.

I don't know how Staci continues to dazzle and shine through her words, but she does. She puts pen to paper, or fingers to keys and MAGIC happens. I am in awe at how Staci can take a concept, like in the Hearts and Arrows series, and give it so much life and meaning, so much intensity and heart..

5 "Gods, I love this series" Stars!!!

'From Darkness' is the third book in the Hearts and Arrows series. And let me tell you, this is my FAVORITE in the series!!! I absolutely loved the storyline and how it was so seamlessly woven between the human and Gods world. And I can't get enough of the characters, they're all just so interesting. And I still love how the Gods play with human lives. What a wickedly awesome game they play.

Aphrodite is now facing the maiden Artemis, who has a bit of a grudge against her (don't they all?? Why are all the Gods and Goddesses so down on love??) and Jon and Josie have a massive gap to close. It's not going to be an easy challenge for Aphrodite, but it is what it is.

Once again I'm awed by Staci Harts storytelling, the brilliant melding of 2 plot lines and the ever inspiring battle for happiness. I'll admit, of all the couples I think Jon and Josie really have the most to overcome and th

I love the whole concept of this series, when the gods are bored they play a game with two mortals but this one has been my favourite.

Josie is a woman you will admire she’s a tough PI who’s had two heartbreaks two many. Jon is the man she loved but he left without a word then her partner/ best friend is murdered. Jon comes back to a Josie who’s only focus is catching a killer but Jon wants a second chance.

I really enjoyed the thriller element of this story, it was fast paced edge of your seat re

From Darkness is the third installment of the Hearts & Arrows Series and it is now my favorite. With the first two books, I mentioned that I was more invested in the Gods than I was with the humans they chose for their games. However, I was actually more invested in Jon and Josie than anyone else in From Darkness. Except for my love for Heff but more on that later.

A new game against Aphrodite has begun and her opponent is Artemis. These two already have a long and ragged past,

Another one knocked out of the park. This book brought all the tears. Not as much as previous novels I have read from Staci, but it brought them none the less. This series is like an addiction. I imagine it is quite similar to how Data feels for Area because even knowing it is going to wreck me, I can't help but to read it anyway.

Romance Readers Retreat
In the third installment of Staci Hart's Hearts and Arrows series, the stakes get ramped up considerably as the Greek Gods continue their games using poor unsuspecting mortals as pawns. This time, the gods in question are Aphrodite and Artemis and those pawns are Jon and Josie. Their second chance romance is my favorite storyline of the series to date and also the darkest of the series so far.

Josie wants nothing to do with Jon. Her heart is still not repaired from him leaving without a word. Jon

THE BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES SO FAR!

Artemis is the newest competitor in the games, and she is determined to win against Dita. This time her player can't go wrong. Josie is a private investigator who has lost everything in the past three years. The love of her life left her for his ex girlfriend and their baby. And recently her best friend was murdered by the guy they were trying pin down for the murder of a sixteen year old girl. Artemis soon comes to realize just how closely related she is with

This book was amazing and since Staci doesn’t disappoint me EVER I knew this would be an amazing read. Game 3 has started and Dita has been away with Perry for a couple weeks in Greece to try and avoid Ares. This game is to be played with Artemis and the players are Josie and Jon, both are Private Investigators. They dated but then Jon picked up and left Josie after he found out his ex was pregnant with his kid. 3 years later Jon shows up still pining over Josie only to find a broken

“Aphrodite put her stock in love, which was nebulous and vague. Artemis believed in logic, what she could see, smell, touch. But logic rarely applied to love.”

Doe Eyes picks up right after Snake in the Grass and it’s time for Dita to return to Olympus for her match against Artemis, the goddess of hunt, and where she’ll have to face Ares once again and deal with the fact that Adonis is gone for good. This is a struggle for Dita. Luckily she has Perry and Heff by her side

So sad thats the last book in the series. Ive been loving Stacis writing so far. In this last installment, its time for Aphrodite to face Artemins. In the love game. But who knows if the goodness of the hunt will have any chance against the goodness of love.

I can't even put this book into words. When I read the first book in the Good Gods series I thought 'Wow, how do you top this?" And then I read the second and it was even better than the first. Now we're on the third book in the series, you know when most series start to fizzle and lose steam? HAH. Not a chance. Staci's writing is like a fine wine (it supposedly gets better with time? I don't know I've never kept wine for very long.) and 'Doe Eyes' tops them all.

Doe Eyes was quite different than the previous books. The gods are still having their competition over the loves, but this time, things take a deadly turn. Dita is up against Artemis who has chosen P.I., Josie, who is tough and closed off. Artemis also thinks Dita has an unfair advantage being the goddess of love and all, so Dita offers to choose Josie’s ex, Jon, as her player to make things more level. Well, Josie and Jon certainly have tension, but they’re also working on a serial killer case ...more
