Sable Point #2

Cherished Lands

Rate this book
A fake marriage. A real spark. A love as forbidden as cider in wine country.

ELLIOT

I've got one shot at saving my family's opening a cidery before money runs out. The last person I need investing is Tessa Belmonte—my lifelong rival and the biggest thorn in my side. But when her father threatens legal action that could destroy everything, there's only one solution. Marriage. To Tessa. For one year.

It's supposed to be just business. I'm supposed to hate the spoiled princess of Vintage Point Vineyards who's been driving me crazy for years. Instead, I'm discovering a fierce, passionate woman who works harder than anyone I know and fits into my life like she was always meant to be there. And the way she melts under my touch? That's definitely not part of our business arrangement.

TESSA

I thought investing in Ever Eden Orchard would finally give me the independence I craved. I didn't expect my father to sue me, and I definitely didn't expect marriage to Elliot Everton to be the solution. He's infuriating, commanding, and has a protective streak that sets my blood on fire.

But as we race to open the cidery before my father can stop us, our fake marriage starts feeling dangerously real. Between small town gossip, family betrayals, and our own stubborn hearts, we're both risking everything. Now I have to do I protect my family's legacy, or fight for the future I never knew I wanted—with the man I never knew I needed?

Cherished Lands is the second interconnected standalone in the Sable Point series with a guaranteed HEA. This book is intended for mature readers, as it includes explicit sexual content, strong language, and adult situations.

It has all my favourite tropes and I really enjoyed it, Tessa was so sassy and I liked that. Her sharp wit and independent personality were so amazing to read.
Elliot was swoon-worthy as well. Their chemistry was off the charts and the banters?! So fun to read, so witty, just how I like them.

The writing is so good and the picturesque descriptions of the small town of Sable Point are so cute I just want to visit the swoony small town now. The small-town trope is usually accompanied by found family and this one had that too, so a win-win for me. The supporting characters are well-developed, especially Chase and Nat and they add depth to the story.

Read it if you love:
✨Forced proximity
✨Marriage of convenience
✨Found family
✨Small-town romance
✨Enemies-to-lovers

Ugh I knew I’d love Elliot & Tess after we got their little hints in the first book, but never did I expect to be as obsessed as I am!!!

Looking to become more independent from her family, Tessa explores business opportunities in Sable Peak - the perfect job falls into her lap, but she soon finds out there’s one catch; she has to partner with the bane of her existence .. Elliot Everton 🤪

I think it was the way they just SAW each other!! Despite their constant bickering & hysterical banter, they were able to be a safe place for one another 😭

💙 small town romance
💙 rivals to lovers
💙 marriage of convenience
💙 fighting as foreplay
💙 Reformed playboy

Book 2 in the Sable Point series did not disappoint!! I could not get enough of the rivals to lovers dynamic. Tessa & Elliot clearly wanted each other but were raised to believe they couldn’t have each other. That push and pull created so much delicious tension and banter between the two and I ATE IT UP!

And the SPICE 🥵 Elliot is a former playboy who didn’t feel like he could get what he needed from his one night stands, so when him & Tessa explore… they EXPLORE! Big fan. And the “my wife” moments just *hit*.

And aside from the amazing banter, sassy comments, and steamy spice, there is such a beautiful found family storyline as Tessa navigates a really tough family dynamic. I just know that a conversation and a dinner with Mama Everton would fix just about any problem you have.

I’m so excited to move on to book 3, Unearthed Dreams, next!! This series has felt like a warm hug and I’ve enjoyed my time in sable point so much!

Thank you so much to Lauren Kiser for providing a copy of Cherished Lands for me to review 💙.

I was so excited to get an arc for this - I read Reclaimed Roots and just loved the Overtons family and the small town feel.

I love Elliot and Tessa. I am a total sucker for an enemies to lovers book and when I tell you they were on FIRE, the banter, the angst. I was hooked from page one (if you know you know🤣) Their families were rivals long before they were ever born but her father made sure to keep that rivalry in tact. Elliot and Tessa pined after each other for years. When they both wanted to save their families legacies, they had no choice but to use each other to do so. Elliot was strong willed and focused. He had his life planned out from the second he could make decisions. Tessa wanted more out of her life and was destined for greater things outside of being a rich man's daughter. I loved her wit and strength. The tension was HIGH and the spice was spicing.

This book was captivating and heartwarming. Lauren wrote this book with authenticity and such care. It was perfect parts spicy, swoony and emotional. I hope Chase is getting a book - I cannot wait to hopefully see his growth.

🍎 enemies to lovers

Wowzers-Lauren Kiser knows exactly how to write sexual tension! She had me pining for these two from page one. I was hooked.

Tessa and Elliot are members of two families with a long-standing rivalry in the vineyard/orchard business. They couldn't appear to be more different, but both Tessa and Elliot are more than they appear to be. There is fighting, there is fu(king, there is butt play. As they learn to navigate new terrain–literally and figuratively–they must also learn to be honest with their own feelings.

🍷Rivals to lovers
🍎Marriage of convenience
🍷Tiny home forced proximity
🍎Found family
🍷BDSM Exploration
🍎She's a brat
🍷"My Wife"
🍎Everyone sees it but them
🍷Praise

While Cherished Lands is a part of a series, it reads like a standalone. I loved the side characters and can't wait to read more about them in future books.

Thank you to Lauren Kiser and Beyond The Books PR for an e-arc of Cherished Lands.

(Netgalley ARC. Thank you! ☺️) A Small Town Romance That’ll Steal Your Heart

Cherished Lands by Lauren Kiser was such a fun, easy, and completely addictive read. I flew through it. It has all the cozy, down to earth charm of a small town romance, but with just the right amount of spice to keep things very interesting. If you’re a fan of Chestnut Springs, this one will absolutely hit the mark.

The story centers around Tessa - determined to build something steady and meaningful for herself. She’s not looking for complications, especially not the broody, rough around the edges rancher who seems to be everywhere she turns. Enter Elliot: all grit, guarded emotions, and a mouth that could ruin you (in the best way). Their banter is electric, the chemistry is undeniable, and watching them navigate their slow-burn connection is so satisfying.

Tessa gave me total Willa from Heartless vibes 👏🏼 strong, grounded, and the kind of heroine you instantly root for. And Elliot? Whew. The man has a filthy mouth and a soft heart, and I was here for every single bit of it.

No spoilers, but Kiser weaves a story that feels both familiar and fresh, with characters you’ll wish were real and a town you’ll want to move to. This is book 2 of a series, and you better believe I’m already waiting (impatiently) for the next.

Highly recommend if you love:

• Small town settings
• Sassy heroines + dirty talking heroes 😮‍💨
• Low angst but full heart stories
• Chestnut Springs / Elsie Silver energy

Lauren Kiser is one to watch. This debut is a gem!

ARC |~ 4.5 ⭐️ Elliot x Tessa

This book was perfect in every other way 😭🤌🏻

Elliot was such a grumpy MMC who always took care of his family & Tessa 🥺 Yes, I kinda didn’t like him at first, but he became so lovable after just 2–3 chapters. The way he constantly supported his WIFE and trusted her completely shows his amazing upbringing 🥰

Tessa was such a powerful FMC who broke free from her father’s controlling grip and stood strong on her own. And boy, the way she became one with Elliot’s family? Absolutely precious 🥺

I loved his parents, Natalie, Jasper, Charlie & Chase — they were all such wholesome characters!

Can’t wait to read about Charlie & Chase (if Lauren is writing one 🫶🥺)

Also… I’ve got a feeling Charlie is with Kai & Chase is with Lane 😋❤️

Alright, buckle up for Tessa and Elliot! Their families have been at each other's throats forever, but these two? They've got some serious sparks flying, even if they're trying to ignore it. Tessa's got a great sharp mind and no patience for nonsense, which actually works really well with Elliot's need for everything to be just so. Things get interesting when they have to team up to save their families. And guys, the romance is HOT right from the first page – they nailed the spice! But what really got me was the found family aspect. Tessa deserves all the love, and it was so heartwarming to see her find it. So I would totally recommend this to anyone who are a fan of spicy romance, marriage of convenience.

Wow! I finished this in less than 24hrs - the angst had me reading until 2am.
I loved the first book in this series but Elliot and Tessa? Yeah … that’s next level

The spice was SPICYYYY and I absolutely loved that this was an enemies to lovers story! I was wondering what the marriage of convenience would be like but it did not disappoint! Their story was epic and I just wished the book was longer!

If you’re looking for an addictive country / small town romance with family drama, found family, forced proximity and a rugged MMC then this is for you!

Cherished lands will be released on the 8th of April so you still have time to read Reclaimed Roots to learn about Nat and Japser’s beautiful story 💗

I loved this story!!!

This book is basically the Hatfield and McCoys. There is a long family feud that has continued through the generations that needs resolve when it comes to a head in a heartbreaking way (does not mean death). From reading Reclaimed Roots you wouldnt think Elliot would have a dominant kink but then again the quiet broody ones seem to always have that side of them. I really like Tessa and how strong and independent she is. I like that she stands up for herself and doesnt back down from Elliot. I absolutely love the whole family and how they come together when anyone needs them no matter if they are family or not. Chase definitly got under my skin in the beginning but as it went on towards the end it got better. Maybe the next book will be his then we can get inside his head to see his thoughts. All in all this is a really good book and has been a really good series.

**Book Review: *Cherished Lands* by Lauren Kiser**

What an unforgettable romance. *Cherished Lands* was everything I didn’t know I was craving—an emotionally rich, tension-filled, slow-burn enemies-to-lovers story wrapped in the cozy, vivid charm of a small-town setting. From the very first chapter, I was completely drawn into the fiery dynamic between Elliot and Tessa, two characters whose history of familial rivalry, undeniable chemistry, and forced proximity make for an absolutely addictive read.

Tessa and Elliot’s relationship is the epitome of “chaotic perfection.” With families that have been at odds for generations, these two are thrown into a marriage of convenience that neither of them asked for—but both quickly realize might be exactly what they needed. Their dynamic is deliciously tense, with sharp banter, unresolved feelings, and moments of vulnerability that hit right in the heart. Every sarcastic comment, every heated stare, every tension-laced argument—they all felt like little sparks leading to a blazing emotional fire. Their chemistry is explosive, the kind that leaps off the page and makes you feel like you're intruding on something raw and real.

Tessa is such a standout heroine—quick-witted, fiercely independent, and so deeply relatable. I admired her strength and determination, but also felt her softer, more vulnerable moments, especially when it came to her complex relationship with her father. Her emotional journey was beautifully portrayed, and I found myself rooting for her not just in love, but in life.

And Elliot? Don’t even get me started on Elliot. That man is a broody, cider-obsessed, protective king who had me swooning every time he opened his mouth. He’s vulnerable in a way that doesn’t take away from his strength—he wears his emotional wounds quietly but fully, and when he lets his guard down? Game over. The way he sees Tessa, supports her, challenges her... it made me fall in love with him right alongside her. And honestly, the way he kept calling her *Princess*? IYKYK. It was *everything*.

But this book isn’t just about romantic tension—it’s also about healing, growth, and learning to open up. The emotional beats were just as powerful as the steamy ones. Whether it was Tessa navigating her complicated family dynamics or Elliot confronting the weight of his responsibilities and past, there was a raw honesty in the storytelling that made these characters feel like real people.

The supporting cast added so much richness to the story as well. Chase and Nat were memorable, layered, and brought levity and heart to the narrative. They felt like more than just side characters—they felt like part of a real, messy, lovable community. And speaking of community, the town of Sable Point deserves its own moment of praise. Lauren Kiser has crafted a setting so vivid, so charming, and so full of life that I genuinely felt like I was there. From the local gossip to the cozy orchard scenes to the family dinners filled with tension and tenderness—it was the kind of place you can’t help but want to visit. It gave me that comforting “back home” feeling in the best possible way.

This book checked all my favorite trope boxes: enemies-to-lovers, fake marriage, forced proximity, only one bed, small-town charm, and found family. Each one was executed with care and added something meaningful to the story. The witty banter had me laughing out loud, the emotional scenes made my heart ache, and the steamy moments? Let’s just say they were *perfectly* paced and deliciously written.

I also appreciated the subtle but meaningful representation of mental health throughout the story. The way the characters wrestled with self-doubt, past trauma, and the pressure of societal expectations was handled with nuance and compassion. It was a reminder that it’s okay to take your time healing, to let go of what no longer serves you, and to choose your own path—no matter what others may think.

I haven’t read *Reclaimed Root*, the first book in this series, but after devouring *Cherished Lands* in a single sitting, you can bet it’s now at the top of my TBR. I’m officially obsessed with Lauren Kiser’s storytelling. Her ability to weave romance, humor, heartache, and healing into one seamless narrative is seriously impressive. This book gave me everything I look for in a romance—and then some.

So if you're looking for a story that blends steamy enemies-to-lovers vibes with laugh-out-loud banter, heartfelt emotional journeys, and that warm, fuzzy small-town atmosphere, *Cherished Lands* is the book for you. It's the kind of story that lingers with you, the kind you want to recommend to everyone, and the kind that makes you fall in love with love all over again.

For fans of country romance, enemies-to-lovers, marriage of convenience, German Shepherd MMC, Black Cat FMC. Recommend to fans of Lauren Kiser and/or Elsie Silver.

Ever Eden is home to Sable Point’s only apple orchard, owned by the Evertons. Elliot Everton is hardworking, disciplined, and loyal. He wants to expand his horizons by making cider to help his family stay afloat. But with Vintage Point, the rivals and locals winery, as competitors, they will need to find the right investor and connections. Elliot may have asked more than he bargained for…

Tessa Belmonte is Sable Point’s princess, the daughter of Vintage Point’s owner. She’s a stubborn, witty, passionate entrepreneur who wants to build something of her own. But with a father who refuses to take her ideas into consideration, she expands by investing in a new and upcoming company that her knowledge of the winery would be the perfect fit. Tessa may need to look outside of her home to make sure that she builds her resume.

I loved the main characters throughout the entire book! Entire storyline is building on the characters connection, which is refreshing to see. Although the Everton family are sweethearts, the Everton VS. Belmonte rivalry was very “Romeo and Juliet”, which I absolutely loved. Tessa and Elliot had witty banter, great romance, and were such a compliment to one another’s personality. This was a great marriage of convenience read, and I loved that it was accompanied by enemies-to-lovers but they are secretly in love with each other for years.

Tessa is a badass, and she brings such sunshine to every room despite being a black cat. She had this rich girl with edge, her challenging family relationship gave her relatability. Her passion for her work was inspiring.

Elliot is your typical cowboy; playboy, hardworking, family oriented, stubborn and has german shepherd energy. His family is the main focus of the series, and they are so supportive, loyal, and kind. It’s hard not to see where Elliot gets his mannerisms from.

Lauren’s writing is always super easy to get into. I’ve been in a reading slump lately, but this book was a breeze for me. Her use of text message bubbles makes you feel as though you are experiencing the story in real time.

This is Book 2 of the Sable Point Series.

I was lucky enough to receive as an ARC 🥰

Cherished Lands by Lauren Kiser is a passionate, enemies-to-lovers, fake marriage romance that sizzles with chemistry, tension, and unexpected emotional depth. From the very beginning, Kiser’s writing pulls you into a small-town world full of family drama, legacy, and ambition, with a rivalry that turns into an intoxicating romance.

Elliot is a determined, stubborn man trying to save his family’s struggling cidery, and he can’t afford to let personal feelings get in the way. Enter Tessa Belmonte, his lifelong rival, who is just as driven and fiercely independent. The stakes are high—her father’s lawsuit threatens to destroy everything, and the only solution is a fake marriage for one year. It sounds simple enough… until it isn’t.
The progression from hate to love between Elliot and Tessa is deliciously slow-burn, but their chemistry is undeniable. The tension between them is thick, and the more time they spend together, the more they start questioning their feelings.

Tessa, who once saw Elliot as a spoiled man only interested in his family’s legacy, begins to see him in a new light as she witnesses his dedication and vulnerability. Similarly, Elliot finds himself falling for the woman he’s spent years resenting. The fact that their fake marriage becomes dangerously real adds an intriguing layer of complexity to the plot.

Kiser masterfully blends the romantic tension with the family drama as Tessa and Elliot navigate their forced proximity, small-town gossip, and personal betrayals. There’s also the underlying theme of fighting for your future—whether that’s with the man you never thought you’d need or protecting your family’s legacy.

Cherished Lands is a steamy, heartfelt read that will have you hooked from page one. It’s the perfect choice for fans of fake marriage, enemies-to-lovers, and small-town romance with a healthy dose of emotional growth and sizzling romance. Highly recommend this book if you love a hero and heroine who have to learn to trust each other and themselves—and if you're ready for a love story that will make you believe in second chances and the unexpected twists of fate.

Elliot Everton, a 31-year-old determined Ever Eden Orchard heir, is working hard to save his family's drowning apple business. Tessa Belmonte, his long-time rival and daughter of Ray Belmonte, their family rivals and competitors who own the Vintage Point Vineyards in Sable Point, wants to prove to her father that she is capable of running a business with modern advancements that her father refuses to implement in the vineyards. When Elliot's dream of opening a cidery and Tessa's desire to invest her trust funds in the cidery are threatened by her father, they are forced into a marriage of convenience to save the cidery. What will this marriage of convenience result in? Is Elliot and Tessa's hatred giving them away to her father? Will her father succeed in suing her? Grab your copy and find out.

Lauren Kiser's swoon-worthy romance "Cherished Lands" combines the warm charm of a small town with a fiery enemies-to-lovers dynamic, heartfelt emotion, and clever banter. Tessa's lively, fiercely independent personality contrasts well with Elliot's sullen, brooding demeanor. With each encounter, their chemistry intensifies, and the simmering tension gracefully transforms into sincere love. Lauren Kiser skillfully depicts their inner conflicts as they negotiate complex familial relationships, unresolved grievances, and their developing desire for one another—balancing loyalty, pride, and vulnerability.

The emotional depth of "Cherished Lands" is what really makes it stand out. The story about redefining legacy, fighting for your future, and choosing love over fear is hidden beneath the flirtation and spice. The story is made cozier and more complex by the orchard setting, small-town vibe, and interesting supporting characters. Although there was a lot of spice in this one, the author made sure the reader was prepared by including a trigger warning right away.

I did not find anything objectionable about this book.

"Cherished Lands" is a delightful must-read that boasts heart, heat, and an unforgettable love story. For all of the reasons listed above, it deserves a perfect five stars.

OBSESSED! I inhaled "Cherished Lands" in under 24 hours, and I'm still reeling from the experience. Lauren's writing is nothing short of magical, weaving a tale of forbidden love, family feuds, and small-town secrets that will captivate and enthrall you from start to finish.

Elliot and Tessa's enemies-to-lovers romance is a MASTERCLASS in slow-burn tension, witty banter, and sizzling chemistry. Their families' century-old rivalry adds a delicious layer of complexity to their relationship, making their love feel like a hard-won prize. I was on the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating their next encounter, their next argument, and their next romantic moment.

Tessa, with her sharp wit and fierce independence, stole my heart. She's a force to be reckoned with, and her determination to forge her own path in life is truly inspiring. Elliot, with his strong will and vulnerable heart, was the perfect match for her. Together, they navigated the treacherous waters of their families' past, forging a love that was both authentic and all-consuming.

The world-building in "Cherished Lands" is top-notch. Lauren's vivid descriptions of the small town of Sable Point and its quirky inhabitants made me feel like I was right there with the characters, experiencing their joys and struggles firsthand. The supporting cast is equally well-developed, with characters like Chase and Nat adding depth and complexity to the story.

"Cherished Lands" has it all: forced proximity, marriage of convenience, family drama, and a healthy dose of spice. Lauren's writing is evocative, engaging, and emotionally resonant, making this book a MUST-READ for fans of small-town romance, enemies-to-lovers tropes, and happily-ever-afters.

One of the things that impressed me most about this book was its thoughtful exploration of themes such as family, loyalty, and identity. Lauren raises important questions about the nature of love and forgiveness, and her characters' struggles to come to terms with their past mistakes and hurt feelings felt deeply relatable.

If you're a fan of authors like Colleen Hoover, Taylor Jenkins Reid, or Kristen Ashley, you'll love "Cherished Lands." Lauren's writing style is reminiscent of these authors, with its focus on character development, emotional depth, and swoon-worthy romance.

In short, "Cherished Lands" is a MUST-READ for anyone who loves a good romance. With its engaging characters, vivid world-building, and thoughtful exploration of themes, this book is sure to captivate and enthrall you from start to finish.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

This book, wow, where do I even start? It’s hands down the best enemies-to-lovers, grumpy-sunshine, fake marriage, found family, small-town romance I’ve read this year. Seriously, @laurenkiserbooks , what have you created? It was such a fun journey from beginning to end, and I’m thrilled I got to dive into this series! 😍😍😍 If “Reclaimed Roots” was like the sweetest dessert, then “Cherished Lands” was a bold, spicy, and slightly bitter cider—absolutely delicious! 🤤🤤🤤🤤 What a treat this book was! 🤭🤭
It’s packed with sass, a grumpy guy, steamy moments, jealousy, emotional exploration, family, friends, and so much more. I adored Tessa’s sassiness 🤭; she compliments Elliot so well! The banter was incredible, especially how Tessa constantly tests Elliot’s patience, and he tries to snap back even though he knows he can’t win (this beautiful girl is going to be the death of me 🤐). The highlight of the book was watching their relationship evolve from hate to love while trying to protect their families. While they thought they couldn’t stand each other, everyone in Sable Point knew it was really something else 😉. Emma and Jay were such sweet, supportive parents—the way they understood their kids and their girls😭😭. Emma’s constant warnings of saying “Language” got me🤣. I loved how the family and friends rallied around each other, always looking out for their own. Tessa deserved the world and Elliot made sure she got it😭😭😭. There were so many favorite moments, like that snow cone scene 🥹 and when Elliot delivered that heartwarming speech—talk about steam , it surely hit the roof for me! 🥵😈. The Everton boys really know how to plan the best dates! 😍😭 And Ray Belmonte, oh boy! 🤬 (you know what I mean).
All in all, this book is a must-read! If you enjoy a story that may have all your favorite romance tropes, you definitely need to check this one out.

A post for this book caught my eye and I wanted to pick it up. Being new to this author's work had me looking forward to it even more! To Sable Point I went! I so enjoyed this story!

Tessa and Elliot's journey captured my attention! Tessa's family runs Vintage Point Vineyards and Elliot's family runs Ever Eden Orchard. These two have been rivals for many years. Little did Elliot and Tessa know that Tessa investing in the Orchard for the cidery would lead to a marriage of convenience between the two. Can Tessa and Elliot help each other out and then go back to the way things were before? or could it be the best kind of recipe to each other's hearts?

Both Elliot and Tessa got me into their story. I really liked how these two were rivals and had been in each other's lives for years. I so enjoyed way the cidery brought Tessa and Elliot closer than ever. I didn't know how they'd tackle working together, their families, everything thrown their way, their marriage, and how they truly felt for each another.

Tessa and Elliot really got to each other and the banter between these two was entertaining. I was glad I got to dive into both of their minds and get the real. They were both dedicated characters. I really enjoyed getting to see things bloom between Elliot and Tessa and seeing them realize there's more to each other than meets the eye. The chemistry between Tessa and Elliot was so good! These two had me going through many emotions while reading which I so enjoyed!

I enjoyed what the other characters brought to the story and being in Sable Point!

With Cherished Lands, Ms.Kiser has created a good rivals to lovers read that brought family, banter, orchard and vineyard businesses, marriage of convenience, steam, and feels! I'm looking forward to going back and picking up the first installment! 💙🍎🍷💍

Be sure to check out the author's content warning.

This was my first time reading Lauren Kiser and OMG! I loved it!! This is the second book in Sable Point Series and one of the best small town romances I have ever read!! The story was a perfect blend of banter, love, feelings, forced proximity, enemies to lovers with no third act breakup, legal battles and emotional breakups and makeups!! I’m obsessed!!!♥️

Elliot aka Paul Bunyan by Tessa🤭 is one of the hot, smart, and protective MCs I have ever read!! Being the eldest son, he takes up the responsibility to get the family business financially stable and back on track. He along with his brothers plans to open up a cidery but because of less fund they need an investor.

Tessa, a young, beautiful, intelligent, vulnerable but determined and strong woman who happens to be Elliot’s family rival decides to invest. Tessa’s relationship with her father ruins day by day and all his rules and regulation makes it difficult for her to live under the same roof with him, so she decides to use her trust fund and invest in Elliot’s business of opening a cidery, plans a fake marriage contract in order to gain her independence from her dad.

Lauren nailed the story when it comes to the tension between our protagonists!! The spicy banter, the push and pull between them is just perfect!! There were some heart touching moments which bloomed the novel like, the relationship Elliot shared with his parents and how they accepted Tessa with open arms, and how Tessa and Elliot realised their feelings for each other and crossed each and every obstacle to get their happily ever after!

If you love a spicy small-town romance with slow burn that binds two hearts together then GIRLLLLLL Cherished Lands is IT!! You have to read this book!!!

Thank you so much @laurenkiserbooks and @beyondthebookspr for giving me a chance to review this ARC! 🩷

Were they ever even enemies, and was it ever actually fake?!?!? Lauren Kiser killed it with this beauty of a Smalltown Romance 😍 She threw in so many of my favorite tropes to create Elliot and Tessa's story.

🍷 Rivals-to-Lovers
🌳 Fake Marriage
🍷 Small Town
🌳 Grumpy x Sunshine
🍷 Forced Proximity
🌳 Mutual Pining
🍷 Family Business Drama
🌳 Only One Bed
🍷 Mild Kink / Bondage
🌳 Snarky Banter
🍷 No Third-Act Breakup
🌳 Open-Door Spice
🍷 First Person, Past Tense
🌳 Dual POV

I ate this story up! Once I cracked this ARC open their was no putting it down. I loved Elliot and Tessa's dynamic throughout the whole story. They definitely brought the banter and sexual tension. I had wondered how they would come together when I first was introduced to them, and the "situation" Kiser created with their business partnership turned fake marriage was so perfect to create all the heated moments and banter filled interactions. The way Kiser wrote the story flowed so well that I was suck right into the drama and romance of it all. The characters' snarky banter made for a lot of fun head to head battles between the two to see who could get the upper hand in their mutual attraction that they wouldn't give into at the start. The characters' personalities were so full, fun, and flirty, even if Elliot was a bit of a Grump, it was in the best way possible. I love Grumpy x Sunshine, and these two paired it off perfectly. The characters were somehow opposites but also the same in so many ways, and I was here for it all. Another big piece of the story I loved was the Everton family. Elliot's family was EVERYTHING! Their whole dynamic was exactly what you'd want from a smalltown big family. His mom's openness, loving nature, and knowingness of her kids was so sweet and something for the books.

Cherished Lands takes two of my favourite tropes PRESES them together to make the mighty of all books. (PUT A CIDER VERSION OF MASHES HERE)

What are those tropes you ask, Marriage of convenience and Enemies to Lovers and boy oh boy were they written immaculately with the perfect amount of tenderness but with enough heat to power the whole of Sable point for a whole winter.

From the moment I met our MMC Elliot in book 1 I was hooked on his character I was keen to get to know the eldest Everton and Lauren wrote my newest book boyfriend so perfectly. That man oozed Control and short answers but beneath the sheets he was HOT .

Aside from his hotness elliot was a man who's family meant so much to him and despite feeling like the weight of the orchards future was on his shoulders he kept moving forward dedicating so much to saving his families legacy and oh and he even ended up marrying the enemy who he'd been in love for years and for all those things is why Elliot will be taking a seat in my book boyfriends hall of fame.

Tessa our FMC has my actual soul. What a woman , what a badass, what an inspiration, What a Entrepreneur Baddie.

Where do I begin with our FMC Tessa , she was a character that from the moment we met she kept evolving, she was a character that felt so real to me and a character that truly captivated me. She Despite her father clipping her wings and essentially squashing any of her dreams took the leap into the unknown to build something that not only brought her the love of her life who she'd been in love with since forever but brought a community together that gave so many a future worth looking forward to.

I absolutely loved my time in Sable point for Elliot and Tessa's love story . It's a book that shows some times the journey is worth the destination that taking risks can lead to forever

A fantastic follow-up novel in the Sable Point series!

Elliot Everton has always had his life planned out. He’s been diligent about planning his future and trying to keep his siblings in line. With things at the Ever Eden Orchard looking bleak, Elliot is trying to step up as the oldest sibling to help keep things afloat. While looking for an investor for the Cidery business meant to keep them alive, he finds more than he bargained for.

Tessa Belmonte has always been misunderstood by the community of Sable Point. She has always been seen as the town princess, hiding behind the family vineyard, Vantage Point. But what she really seeks is independence and being able to shine outside of her father's shadow. When the idea strikes to invest part of her trust fund in a local business, she quickly learns that life outside the confines of the vineyard looks entirely different.

Lauren has done it again! She has a special way with words that keep you engaged and begging for more.

Elliot and Tessa are the perfect match for one another. They know exactly how to push each other's buttons in the best way possible, and have banter that you can’t help but smile at. I loved how the Everton clan welcomed Tessa with open arms and accepted her into the family when she had nowhere else to go.

I loved revisiting the characters we met in Sable Points book one, Reclaimed Roots, and how the stories are interconnected. While Cherished Lands can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading this series in order for the best experience.

I highly recommend it for those who like snarky banter, loveable characters & a Happily Ever After.

Cherished lands by @laurenkiserbooks (arc review)

Tessa and Elliot—oh my heart! Two characters caught in the crossfire of a generational family feud, yet so clearly meant for each other. Everyone around them could see the love simmering just beneath the surface... everyone except them, of course. And can we talk about the Evertons for a second? That family is just chef's kiss—especially the parents. So wholesome, so chaotic, so them.

Tessa inspired me on so many levels. Despite coming from a wealthy background, she chose to carve her own path, to build something of her own—and she fought tooth and nail for it. Her grit, her determination, her fire—it was all so empowering.

Now Elliot... have I mentioned how much I ADORE men who cook? Because this man right here? Total swoon. Soft but strong, nurturing but firm. Just... perfect.

And the sexual tension? Off. The. Charts. These two could’ve set the entire town on fire with their stolen glances and unspoken confessions.

That said, I was a tiny bit let down by the enemies-to-lovers trope. I live for a good hate-to-love arc, and when our leads can’t even manage to dislike each other for a third of the book—it just doesn’t hit the same.

But overall? This story had everything I love: a charming small-town setting, a tight-knit and hilarious family, and characters who are chasing dreams while falling headfirst into love.

Pick this one up if you’re into: • Rivals-to-Lovers
• Fake Marriage
• Small Town Vibes
• Forced Proximity
• Mutual Pining that makes your heart ache

I was beyond excited to be back in Sable Point and able to visit with the Overton family again. Lauren starts this series off strong with Reclaimed Roots and continues into Cherished Lands. I love the familiarity that Lauren provides with her writing, enhancing characters we already love, while introducing us to new ones that fit perfectly.

I was so happy for Elliot’s story as he was such a great side character in book one. Ok, ok, I am looking forward to all their stories. But the foreshadowing that Lauren left us with in RR had me ready for his story. He is definitely a family man, always looking out for their best interest, even if it means foregoing his own.

Tessa is a wonderful addition to the Sable Point crew and I loved getting to know her. She is determined, resilient, and knew she was meant for more than what she was born into. Although there is a history between her and Elliot, she never backed down from what she wanted for herself. She is the perfect match for Elliot and they really do make each other stronger.

The family dynamic is still front and center in this book as well. The Overton's have so much love and loyalty to each other, but that brings struggles for each of them. I can’t wait to see what else Lauren has in store for this family and series. Lauren writes with such passion and authenticity, I don’t think there could ever be anything she writes that I wouldn’t devour and love.

As always, review any author notes before reading.

"If I didn't put some distance between un, Iw as going to slap him... or kiss him. Neither seemed like a good idea."

"They say the perfect partner isn't someone who completes you-you should be complete on your own. The perfect partner complements you."

I was so happy to be back in Sable Point with the characters I love. This small town romance is another lovely cozy read from this series, but now this story follows one of the Everton twins' love story.

Elliot has an idea to save his family's orchard by opening a cidery. Tessa wants to make a name for herself away from her family's winery business. She decides to invest in something that makes her independent from her family, but little does she know she's investing with her long-time rival. They are forced to work closely together, and to save the cidery, a marriage is the only way to ensure Tessa's investment doesn't get taken away from her father.

This marriage of convenience is a fun and cute story! I love a cozy read, and this Sable Point series is perfect! I loved Book 1, and Book 2 is just as good! The cute banter between the MCs is adorable, and I love that the focus is on them, but the other characters from Book 1 are still in the story! Tessa has some spunk, and I love how she's independent and determined! Elliot is just the sweetest. Everything about this story is lovely, and I look forward to reading Book 3. I am definitely curious whose story will be told next!

Lauren Kiser has written a wonderful romance series, and I can't recommend it enough! This series is the definition of cozy reading, and the story is so easy to follow with a definite HEA! 😍

3.75⭐️ – A heartfelt small-town romance with great chemistry!

Cherished Lands was a charming and emotional read that delivered on romance, character growth, and small-town charm. While it took a little time to fully immerse myself in the story, once I did, I found myself invested in Elliot and Tessa’s journey. Their dynamic was filled with tension, longing, and just the right amount of banter, making their eventual connection feel all the more rewarding.

Elliot, struggling to keep his family’s business afloat, had such a strong sense of responsibility, and it was easy to empathize with the weight he carried. Tessa, on the other hand, was a character I grew to love. She started off feeling a little distant, but as she stepped out of her father’s shadow and found her own path, she became someone I truly rooted for. Their chemistry was undeniable, and while I wished their emotional bond had been explored a bit more in the earlier chapters, their relationship still felt authentic and heartfelt by the end.

The pacing in the first half was a bit slow, and some conflicts felt a little too easily resolved, but despite that, the book delivered on what I love most about small-town romances—a cozy setting, strong character arcs, and a satisfying HEA. If you enjoy a romance with great banter, emotional depth, and just the right amount of spice, this one is worth picking up!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Cherished Land, thank you Lauren Kiser and NetGalley.

Elliot is focused, organised and has a life plan. With business dwindling, he must look for an investor to salvage the long term family run Ever Eden Orchard.

Tessa has had enough of being seen as Daddy’s Princess, she is craving her independence and looking to put her trust fund to good use by investing in a local business with her bold and brilliant ideas.

When that business belongs to her lifelong family rivals, The Evertons, sparks are sure to fly.

It’s giving:
🍎enemies to lovers
🍎small town romance
🍎marriage of convenience
🍎found family
🍎only one bed

✨My thoughts✨ -
I loved the banter between Elliot and Tessa, it is evidently clear from early on in the book that they are both perfect for one another.

Tessa is so sassy and not afraid to speak her mind and Elliot, as much as he protests is in awe of her. The spice is so HOT, literally from the opening line we are treated with the perfect amount.

It’s giving found family which Tessa ABSOLUTELY deserves! I laughed SO hard during the proposal scene, it had me in fits of giggles.

The setting is also stunning, I love a small town romance and the attention to detail of the image building of the town and its community is brilliant!

It’s an easy 4 ⭐ read in my opinion, I’m looking forward to future books in the series!

❥ Family feuds
❥ Rivals to lovers
❥ Fake marriage
❥ Forced proximity
❥ Small town romance

𝔸𝕓𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕓𝕠𝕠𝕜:
Elliot and Tessa aren’t just rivals their families have been at odds for generations. Elliot’s determined to save his family’s struggling orchid, but it’ll take a major investment to pull it off. Meanwhile, Tessa’s desperate to break free from her controlling father, and teaming up with the rival family business might just be her ticket to independence.

𝕄𝕪 𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙𝕥𝕤:
I was lucky enough to snag an ARC of this small-town romance, and let me tell you it was an absolute treat! Though it's the second book in the series, it reads perfectly as a standalone (but you bet I’m diving into book one soon).

Let’s talk tropes, because this one checks all my favorites: rivals to lovers? Check. Family drama? Check. Banter that had me giggling? Big check. Elliot’s broody, grumpy exterior paired with Tessa’s fiery charm was a chef’s kiss combo, their chemistry practically leapt off the page. The Eden family was the perfect heartwarming addition, balancing out the fiery romance with those cozy small-town vibes.

And oh my god, the proposal scene? I was wheezing with laughter. Tessa easily became one of my favorite FMCs she’s fierce, talented, and her loyalty to her family and business made her feel so relatable. She’s the kind of character you root for from page one.

Overall, Cherished Lands is a feel-good, binge-worthy romance that I devoured in one sitting. Can’t wait to see what the rest of this series has in store!

Cherished Lands by Lauren Kiser releases on April 8th sending all my love and thanks to @beyondthebookspr and @laurenkiserbooks for the ARC.

Elliot Everton has one shot at saving his family’s orchard by opening a cidery. His rival, Tessa Belmonte, decides to invest in his venture. This pisses off her father and he threatens legal action. The only logical solution is for them to get married for one year to prove legitimacy of the business. Elliot is supposed to hate Tessa, but he discovers someone who works hard and fits into his family like a missing puzzle piece. The chemistry between these 2 is off the charts and that definitely wasn’t part of the business arrangement. Now, both Tessa and Elliot need to decide whether what they are feeling is worth fighting for, or does Tessa do what her dad wants?

Review
This book had me hooked from the very first sentence,”During the winter months, you’d usually find me balls deep in a tourist.” From that point on, I knew that I was in for a good ride. And, boy, what a ride it was. One thing that I love about Lauren’s writing is that it just flows which makes all of her books easy and super enjoyable to read. The dynamic between these 2 characters was well-done. I loved their chemistry, the angst, and the turmoil over what to do about the feelings toward one another.

Our MMC, Elliot Everton, was everything that I never knew I was missing in my life. He was strong, loyal, protective, and loving. He wasn’t afraid to fight for what he wanted. He had his life planned out from the very beginning. He knew that he was going to be the twin to take over the orchard and was ok with that. Then he married Tessa and she brought his spicy side out. And can we take a minute for this man and his mouth?!? 🥵 The things he says and does on top of all of his endearing qualities makes him a top tier book boyfriend.

Then we have our FMC, Tessa Belmonte. She is the daughter of the rival vineyard in their small town. She is headstrong, tough, and witty. I LOVE ❤️❤️ a tough FMC who doesn’t take any crap from anyone and that is Tessa 💯. She has plans for her family’s vineyard, but her father refuses to let her make any changes. This is when she decides to branch out on her own and invest in Elliot’s cidery. Her strong will and thick skin come in handy because she deals with a lot of stuff from her dad. She stands up to her dad and isn’t afraid to not back down with Elliot which makes for an extremely fun and exciting dynamic between the MMC and FMC.

The spice be spicin’ in this book. Lauren does great spice. And the things that make the spice even spicier is the banter, the angst, and the tension that leads up to the actual open-door spice. Lauren writes books with spice, but the spice is never the main point of the story. There is an actual plot and storyline that the spice fits into.

10/10 recommend this book. It was a fun, quick read that brought me a lot of joy and laughs. Thank you Lauren for allowing me to ARC read this book and all of your other books. They are fantastic and I can’t wait to read the remainder of this series!

ARC REVIEW: Cherished Lands is the 2nd part in the Sable Point series written by Lauren Kiser. I hadn’t read the 1st part but I don’t think the story misses anything in itself.
This is a story of Tessa and Elliot, two enemies living in a small town called Sable Point, who had been in each other’s proximity since their childhood. Their families have been business rivals, and same was engraved in these two since when they were kids. However, growing up in the same town, coming across each other all their lives developed some feelings for each other which they never spoke and hated each other’s guts until Tessa and Elliot decided to become business partners and open a cidery. Tessa’s father who had been successfully making big bucks didn’t like it and decided to sue her.
How these enemies were put together in this setting? What challenges they faced and did they really started loving each other? Is all that you are gonna find out in this beautifully written extremely Spicy Novel.
I am so glad I discovered Lauren Kiser, for she is a brilliant author and oh god! The spice in her novel is next level.
I had anticipated this to be a regular Enemies to lovers trope, but this was more. This had all the elements in their completeness and there was a closure that I felt as a reader. Loved it :)

TW: Explicit sexual content (including BDSM elements + light bondage), strong language, alcohol/drug abuse, and family conflict.
