Quick read. Enjoyable to read. Don't need to think hard to read the book and the series. Recommend.

Reviewed by Brandilyn for Prism Book Alliance There are currently four stories in the Kansas City Heat series, though I suspect there are more coming if the name dropping of gay cops in the precinct is any indication. There is nothing wrong with this series, and I suspect it will be popular with people for a number of reasons. First of all is, of course, the HAWT sex scenes. In each story, the couple falls into bed together pretty readily. They aren't ever in it for more than a night or two, but ...more

This is the second book in the Kansas City Heat series and I did enjoy it. It is a good series and I think many will think so.

I loved Nick and I love the connection that he has with Rob and the element of mystery to the book with the home invasion and looking for stolen goods. I also like the element of one of the main characters having secrets from the other because that puts more of a spin on things when one of the main characters second guesses the other because of not knowing them as well as

This would have been a 4-Star from me, but I hate the whole "I'm clean" thing. As opposed to what? Dirty? So, if you're positive you're dirty? Choose a different word, perhaps negative? I'm allowed to take off a star for shit I don't like and I REALLY hate the term "clean" in regards to being negative.

I really liked this. Insta-love and all :) I did think too much time passed at the end though.

Next up is dickhead Cameron. We shall see if I like him any better.

Definitely not great literature. I read this to balance out after a long angsty book and it was good for that. Predictable plot for the most part, a little twist at the end. Bad guys were easy to guess but there was some mystery to solve. Sex scenes were mundane and mostly filler, with insta-love as well. I also hate the use of the words "his lover" for a first encounter and calling each other babe and baby. ...more

Jenna Byrnes could use more cabinet space and more hours in a day. She’d fill the kitchen with gadgets her husband purchases off TV and let him cook for her to his heart’s content. She’d breeze through the days adding hours of sleep, and more time for writing the hot, erotic romance she loves to read.

Jenna thinks everyone deserves a happy ending, and loves to provide as many of those as possible t
