This is material that belongs on INsights website. I felt the sales pitch for INsights services from the first paragraph to the last. The information can be useful but I doubt writers who are considering hiring a service to help with self-publishing are going to want to pay for INsights marketing. I've come across all the information the booklet provided on other websites, so nothing new here. The info only scratched the surface and seemed like a quick effort without much research. Can you sense my disappointment?

Good information, strong advice though geared to a specific market. Decide if you want to be sold other products and brands.

As an author, freelance writer and publisher, who has been in the industry for nearly twenty years, I could not figure out the purpose of this book. The description states that this book is an “easy-to-use “guide. However, it reads to me as a marketing tool for Inscribe Digital. Not that there is wrong with that, but when I read the description, I could only assume this was a “How to Publish Your Book” title.

This book may serve some purpose to first time publishing authors, however, thirty pages it not nearly enough space to outline an adequate self-publishing plan. One thing that I did find interesting was the piece on partnering with review services such as NetGalley. However, it does not explain exactly how to do that. It is as if this book gives just enough information to draw a first time author in so they will contact Inscribe directly.

Again, a first-time author may find some of the provided information beneficial, but it really is of no use to an experienced self-published author.

Now You’re A Publisher is a short guide into the world of self-publishing. As INscribe Digital gives you a checklist of what you must take into consideration when preparing your digital edition it also offers their service in your quest. More than a how-to-book it is a simple suggestion of what you might want to think about (but most importantly why think about it) when it comes to creating you ebook.

Think about format, where are you going to sell, consider a good cover. Those are some of the suggestions they offer. But they also talk about the competitive market that self-publishing can be. The enormous number of books that appear in Amazon a lone is astounding. Therefore they also provide you with their service, which consists mostly on product placement and marketing.

I got this book from NetGalley.

I thought this was going to explain how to get into self-publishing, ebooks, strategizing, marketing, maximizing, sales, social mediaing your way around the internet, mistakes not to make, good moves, and all that other intimidating I want to self-publish, but wow, that sounds like a lot to learn...and yes, I guess there was that, but mostly it felt like a sales pitch that I could have found on the INscribe Digital site. Kind of disappointed, but at the same time, some good ideas, so all in all, next time, I'll visit a website.
