It would be better if there was a way to show if the vowel pronunciations are short vowels or long vowels...not always clear

Cute, and useful information… But I would’ve liked acknowledgment of the fact that all those languages are spoken in the US, as well!

Penguin and Tiger travel the world and teach pre-schoolers how to say please and thank you in eight different languages. Your little one can learn those important magical words in French, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish and English. And please no worries big people ... each word is translated and a handy pronunciation guide is provided so both you and your child can relax and enjoy learning the new languages.

A full-colored travel map is included at a the end so you can discover the locations of the different countries.

These books are part of the "Little Traveler Series". The author offers you a very clever and fun way to teach your child new words in many different languages. The kid-friendly illustrations are colourful and playful. The word bubbles make the characters come alive as they speak. I know your child will be excited and want to read the books time and time again. It is always fun to place an educational book in the hands of a toddler. These books are board books so they are made for wee kids to handle and enjoy. I recommend this series.

Abigail Samoun has another new travel board book for children: How Tiger Says Thank You!. This addition to the Little Traveler Series follows "tiger" on a global trot. Toddlers (and parents!) can learn to say “thank you” in seven popular languages: French, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish. At the back of the book there is a world map highlighting the different countries visited.

As vacations approach How Tiger Says Thank You! just might be the thing for diversionary tactics while traveling and also teaching a phrase in a different language. This is a cute, fun book for the little ones.

The illustrations are clear, cheerful, bright yet boldly pastel.

Tiger is one globe-trotting feline! Thankfully, she is fluent in many languages, and wherever she goes, she spreads politeness by saying “Thank You” in that country’s native tongue! Join in the language learning fun and follow Tiger around the world to seven far off countries and say “thank you” as she shops in Russia, has tea in Egypt, takes a taxi bike in China, listens to music in Argentina, and more! The illustrations by Sarah Watts are charming and sweet. The text is written nice and large for easy reading, each foreign language word is followed by a pronunciation guide, and the final page of this great board book is an illustrated map of the world that follows Tiger’s travels!

Super cute book that is so simple to enjoy. Loved that it was so easy for little ones to grasp the use of a foreign language.
