Brace yourself Cecy fans, A Cursed Bloodline will take you for an emotional roller-coaster ride. It left me not only without any sleep but stripped of every energy to function the day after reading this book. And with that said, A Cursed Bloodline is one of my Top Picks of the year.

This is one of those series that should be read from the beginning. Only because reading from the start makes the readers understand the journey of all the characters and especially understand how Celia has gotten

To say that Celia and Aric’s relationship has been rocky would be like calling a torrential downpour a sprinkling, but it was nice seeing that Cecy Robson turned the tables on these two lovebirds by leaving the wolf in the lurch. Really, all of the characters are feeling the pressure in this installment what with Bren in a coma, Danny getting exiled, and Emmy’s heartbreak. A CURSED BLOODLINE wasn’t just the darkest installment to date, it was also the most jam-packed.

Four and a half stars: An emotional journey with plenty of danger and heartache!

Celia is desperately trying to reassure Aric that his scars don't matter, he still is the one who holds her heart, but then disaster strikes. Celia is attacked in her own home by Anara, the misguided, megalomanic were Elder. Anara insists on Celia breaking her mate bon

Once again I am blown away by Robson's ability to bring out both the best in me and the worst.

She delivers in another spell binding addition to the Weird Girl series that had me constantly on the edge of my seat never knowing what to expect next. I wanted to reach through the pages and comfort Celia one moment and reach through the pages and strangle Anara the next. Never have I loved so much to hate someone in my life. The only other villain I can possible compare him to would be Dolores Umbri

I liked this book the least. It's just a continuation of the constant problems Aric and Celia have faced about their relationship due to his pure blood status and her being "other." This time it's a bigger threat to their happiness, but it's still the same plot line.

The bad guy is practically omnipotent over the wolves of the pack, you might even say he is. Yet, he still has to threaten Celia to get things done. That seems wimpy on his part. But he definitely did do it evil style when

I'm the biggest fan of this series, I love the world, I love the characters and I've devoured every single book and novella the second I've got my hands on them. A Cursed Bloodline was one of my most anticipated reads of the autumn so I had incredibly high expectations but now that I've finished reading it I think I'm in shock and I'm still not quite sure what to make of it.

A Cursed Bloodline had me completely gripped from the very beginning, so much so that I stayed up all night reading and fin

My English review

Wow this book is really intense! Darker and harder than the previous ones, yet still oh so good! I was very excited to be able to immerse myself in the following novels about the Wird sisters and I got into the reading as soon as I could. However, I had to wait the weekend before starting it knowing that it would not take me long to finish it and that I would surely end it soon enough. And I am not mistaken on this point because once thrown into the stor

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

What was that?? I was expecting this book to be good because I love this series but this book was not just good. It was amazing! Although it was more fast-paced than what I usually prefer, I didn’t mind because I couldn’t put it down! I have to warn you that this book isn’t a book that will make you laugh like the previous ones. While reading it, I was angry at first and then I was crying like a

We need to talk. I'd like to discuss genres and what you're reading. Do you read urban fantasy? Do you read paranormal romance? Do you read plain 'ole romance?? Do you like strong heroines? Do you like that heroine to have a strong support system in the form of kick-ass sisters?

If ANY of these have piqued your interest, you really need to start the Weird Girls series by Cecy Robson. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this series rivals Kim Harrison's The Hollows in intensity, plot de

There is so much I have to say about A Cursed Bloodline, that in order for me to say what I am hoping to say, my review may sound like I'm a raving lunatic. You see ladies and germs, even though I adore Cecy like my own sister, she's a sadist pure and simple. She t

A Cursed Bloodline (Weird Girls #4) by Cecy Robson You know that book that you've been waiting for...the one you don't really want to read because you're afraid you'll be horribly disappointed? Yeah. That was this book for me. When I started reading it, I was fully prepared to hate it. I should explain that I was so frustrated and angry over the previous book in this series that my Kindle Fire came perilously close to bouncing off the far wall. Repeatedly. That book left me drained and despairing that Celia and Aric would ever get a HEA. Oh ...more

This was a lot darker than the previous books in the series and it didn't have as much humour, but this added depth and realism to the series. I saw a different side to the characters as they had to deal with tragedy as well as Celia's dilemma and I am not ashamed to admit that I shed a tear or two. I loved getting to know Danny and Bren better and seeing Misha in a vulnerable situation . Celia certainly has a tough time, and it showed her fragility as well as determination to fight on. Alright, first I need to thank NetGalley for introducing me to Cecy Robson with this book. And for providing me with a copy in return for an honest review.

This novel, number 4 in the series is... there are so many words to describe it. Epic, fun, hot, scary, heart throbbing, heart stopping, sorrowful, mesmerizing. There are many levels to this novel. Honestly it is one of my new favorites. Cecy has encased the perfect hidden world of supernaturals for Tahoe. Using Cali and Nevada as her focal p

As much as I love Celia and the girls, this was a huge disappointment. A villain straight out of a comic book he was so cliche, violence that served no purpose, an unnecessary death, and as another reviewer said "way too much of the same thing, over and over." What really turned me off, however, is (view spoiler) I'm just not sure I'm going to be able to get past that and possibly continue with the series. I ...more

The Weird Girls series has been a constant favorite ever since the prequel novella was released, but The Cursed Bloodline, its fourth (and hopefully not final) installment left something to be desired. Apparently there’s such a thing as too much violence, even in urban fantasy, because there came a point in the second half of this book where I just felt that enough was enough.

That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy my time with Celia – I honestly did. Being so familiar with a set of characters ha

Another action packed installment of the wired girls. Always nice to revisit this world, I don't know what took me so long to read this installment when I loved the 1st three. Oh well lesson learned.. don't leave this series for so long again!

Ah alass this is the last book.... for now.

This was amazing and heart renching. What to do for poor Celia. Im not a spoiler of books really. Its not my thing. When I read these I just wanna know what the reader thought about it. This by far was catching I feel like it was glued to my hand. I had tinkerbell on in the background and this just captivated me. I wanted more but I didn't want it to end. I cannot wait for the next one.

Cecy Robson proves once again that she is the reining queen of the Urban Fantasy Romance genre. Nobody tells a story like she does. I was glued ever page... every word. This book was dark, daring and totally amazing. I felt every emotion known to man, and even a few new ones! If you aren't reading this series you have no clue what you are missing.

A Cursed Bloodline: A Weird Girls Novel, Cecy Robson
Review from jeannie zelos book reviews
Having just read the novella introducing the sisters and their world I found it fine to jump straight in to this series, despite having missed the earlier books ( though I want to read them now too!). We meet Misha, the Master Vampire who is convinced he is in love with Celia, and that they will be together...despite her having told him over and over that she loves Aric. She’s been through so much to be wit

Seriously, Cecy, was that necessary? Did you really feel the need to put me through the emotional wringer? Oh, who am I kidding, I freaking enjoyed the hell out of it.

I was very excited to dive into A Cursed Bloodline after the bombshell ending of the last book, but there was also some trepidation. I was afraid of what our Celia would be put through this time. Turns out my fear was warranted, because Celia goes through hell. But the thing is, she’s a fighter and always comes back stronger.

A Cursed Bloodline is the 4th book in the Weird Girl series by Cecy Robson. This is the first book that I’ve read in the series and once I figured out who was who in the large cast of characters I had no problems following along. Though for the best appreciation of the book, I highly recommend reading the series in order.

“Gemini took a step forward. “Aric, just ask her,” he said quietly. My sisters and friends gathered around us as Aric slowly fell to one knee. For a moment, he simply stared. But when he spoke, I could sense his devotion in every word. “Celia, you have been my princess since the first time I saw you. Now, I’d like you to be my queen for the rest of our lives. Will you marry me?” Big giant tears rolled down my long, fuzzy face. “Scratch once for yes, twice for no!” Bren yelled. I thought I’d always be ready to hear those words. And there I was, a damn horse. So instead of allowing this moment to be robbed from me, I closed my eyes and took in everything that was Aric—his scent, warmth, love, and all that had brought us together. Someone threw the quilt around me as I felt my body shrink and my bare feet slide along the sandy beach. For the first time, I’d managed to reclaim my human form following an accidental change, and I welcomed it for everything it allowed. Aric tucked the quilt around my naked skin and drew me to him, waiting patiently for me to answer. The lump in my throat tightened. After all the times I thought I’d lost him, was this really happening? It took the soft graze of his knuckles against my cheek to assure me this was more than a dream. My body trembled and so did my voice. “Yes,” I managed. Everyone assembled cheered when Aric kissed me, including Heidi, who changed from her white wolf form to stand beside her mate, Danny. Unlike me and being were, Heidi didn’t mind” 0 likes
