Apparently more a work of fiction than fact...

I remember this conflict from the early 90s as a young teen on TV every evening was very distressing to watch.
The book follows mercenaries in the former Yugoslav republic of Croatia.
Goes into detail about hit and run attacks on airfields and the terrible war crimes committed by different factions.
Talks about bodies of civilians floating down river and graphic mutations of civilians of all ages too horrific to mention. All kinds of MERCS turning up from different parts of the world one person even carving a cross on the opponent’s heads. People tied to trucks and dragged POWS killed not taken prisoner sniper alley in Sarajevo.
Well worth a read but could be very upsetting in some places of how cruel people can be to other human beings.
