Stealing a motorcycle, crashing it, witnessing a bomb explosion, and being held at gunpoint while begging for her life is a far cry from the life that Avery Smith is trying to escape in the first place, but as she winds up in the strong, sexy arms of another biker, she can't help but wonder why she would want to leave that life ever again.
Landon Cryen knows it's a mistake to bring Avery into the clubhouse. There's too much going on right now. In the midst of a raging war with a rival crew, they have to satisfy a business deal and find the ones responsible for almost killing a fellow member in a bombing. But sensing Avery's pain - and feeling her body - has Landon questioning everything he believes in. The pressure puts him over the edge and soon he and the Back Down Devil MC are blackmailed into handling the murder of a man who can potentially take down the MC.
Avery knows she should run away, but she can't escape Landon - or Back Down Devil MC. She knows more than she should, so she decides to step up and prove her feelings for Landon and her respect for the club.
Once Avery steps into a dangerous world without the protection of the MC, she has to find the strength that had once been taken from her... the question is, will her strength be enough to make it back to Landon's arms safely?
Book three BDD series by London Casey. This book is about Landon is a MC brother and quite dark brooding he's very willing to stab shot or beat anyone if he thinks it needed. Avery is another running woman from a small motorcycle crew. Avery was abused by Bry and on run from him after he raped and abused her. I enjoyed story but so far all women had something to do or knew about MC bikers and all are running scared from dangerous people. Would like for one of them to just meet a strong not scared woman that doesn't need to be saved. I did get my wish and Emily was in this book. Just hoping storyline get better and doesn't repeat in every book or I'll lose interest very quickly which would be a shame because the bikers are incredibly sexy except Blaine.
The Story is getting more involved & exciting.. as the guys find their one ..... the Story is heating up..... on to book three.. Get One Clicking People.
Before I get into my review I want to point out that the editing, if any, was horrific. I hope no one got paid for it.
This installment was good and I enjoyed Landon and Avery's story. Land on didn't realize how much his life would change after Avery literally crashes into the MC compound! Landon has never loved a woman before and he is about to find out what all the hype is about!
I really liked the first book in this series so I really wanted to see how the author would continue on with this MC. Landon and Avery were the stars of this book for me...I really LOVED their story...even though there were so many other things going on with other club members and it was pretty violent (like the first book)...they were what kept my interest. Avery ran away from an abusive biker boyfriend and stole his bike to make her escape...crashing it on site of a bomb explosion and then eventually being captured for questioning by Landon. The BDD MCs don't know if they can trust her, but Landon is drawn to this girl like he has never been to anyone else...and she to him...so it is new territory for both of them. Revenge, a war between clubs and putting Landon and Avery both to the test determine if they will be able to be together for the long run. Although their story is complete, it ends on a cliffhanger for another character that will go into the third book. Exciting, fast-paced and the sexy chemistry between Landon and Avery was HOT!!
**** 4 **** "trust and bravery in a dangerous world" stars
okay so this is rough for me. i cant stand these guys. these stories would be a little okay if these guys werent such douche bags. i mean shes crying and he still makes her blow him. he is screwing a whore and she sees him and then wants to have sex with him an hour later. they treat girls like dogs. im not understanding where the good ismcoming in on these love stories. if it werent for trying so hard to make these guys total pricks the stories could possibly be good. i always finish series that i start reading but there are so many i cant force myself to go on. i was barely able to finish this. i almost quit a couple of chapters in but its a rule of mine to finish the story. anyway i wont be reading on because i cant stomach these guys anymore.
I enjoyed Crash and Burn (Back Down Devil MC #2), London Casey writing is great, I can't seem to stop reading this series. This is the second book in the series, here we get to know Landon and Avery.
This series so far is more then just a romance novel with a bad boy biker, there is danger and threats and someone or some group is after the Back Down Devil MC.
This book was great story about Landon and Avery a lot of twist and turns you don't want to put it down can't wait to read the rest of the series especially Erika story . Need to read
DNF! Watches him fuk a club whore, hates it and it makes her jelous, then gets in the shower with just after incident . Another weak ass heroine with no backbone. Not believable at all
The storyline is interesting and that is keeping me wanting to read the rest of the series, but my lack of a connection to the characters in the first two installments is making me think twice. There are too many questions left unanswered. She goes by Avery. She doesn't remember her first name and is pretty sure her last name is Avery and that's why she goes by that name.....? Where does she come from? Who is she? Does she want to know about herself? How'd she end up hooked up with Bry? I almost stopped reading as soon as she set foot in the shower with Landon directly following what she'd just seen. WTF??!!!!?!!! Who'd do that??!!?!! All we know about Landon is that he's an overbearing asshole who's in an MC and who doesn't feel any remorse whatsoever about killing people. That's it. The endings of both couples' stories from each of the first two books just kinda stopped abruptly then led to an introduction to the next installment. I really want to keep reading the series but I just keep feeling disappointed and don't know if I want to keep doing that to myself when there are other books out there to read that I'm pretty sure will give me more satisfaction.
thought I loved Gaige and Emily in the first book of this series but I was blown away with Landon and Avery. My heart broke for her and she was wonderful. Well she is a wonderful person. Landon is tough and a bad boy as they come. I like the take kind of charge. He protected her with a vengeance. This book was awesome. Bad Boys finding someone good out there is willing to love them and their biker family and their lifestyle. Come on book 3. I wonder if Blaine will ever slow down.. Hope Erik finds someone as well as Miller. We shall see.
More blood and guts but if the same actions had been committed against me, I would want them to pay too. Landon was tough as nails, his head was not on straight and then Avery literally skidded into his life. She was scared and running from an abuser who beat and raped her. Landon protected her and ended up loving her. The sex is real, raw and dirty. Great series!
A MC life is a hard road, violent with tough decisions to be made. Avery is on the run from a horrible cruel guy who held her capture while beating and raping her repeatedly, she's scared and hungry. She's caught while trying to steal some food by the shop owner, and is rescued by Landon. Life gets very interesting for both of them before it gets better for them. Good story.
"Blaine kissing Landon on the cheek? (not comment)
Blaine is disgusting and he should have die in the first book. But nooooo he actually has a book in this series.
I'm done with this! This is more of a fraternity made of psychopaths than an MC club. God there's not even a character that's likeable or normal. I'm so disappointed I thought it would get better. Well, apparently not!
