Your Soul to Take is the second book in the Rise of the Fallen series. It carries on right where book 1 finished. It can be read as a standalone but to be honest these books are so good that you would be doing yourself out of a really great read. I completely recommend this fantastic series.

Opening Scene:

Be careful what you wish for.

The Review:

When Connor’s little sister, comes back from the dead, as a vampire, he couldn’t be happier. Returning from the dead

If you haven’t read the first book My Soul to Keep Do so, right now…Seriously, it’s great. The sequel is as good or better. Connor has started to come to grips with his new life as one of the Fallen. The not-evil demons who grant wishes, at the cost of your soul, and, well, do lots of other cool things too. He started human, he made the bargain, and then trying to outwit the Fallen, wished to become one himself. Unfortunately, he’s really powerful and they’re trying to figure out exactly what to ...more

OMG...Sean Hayden sure threw me some winding curves in Your Soul to Take. This is an excellent story line and I hope it continues endlessly. I love these characters and how they handle themselves and their designated situations. Hayden took a good idea and made it into a great series. I am hooked.

Your Soul to Take by Sean Hayden is book two of Rise of the Fallen and picks up exactly where book one left off. If you haven't read book one, stop reading my review now and read book one first!!!!! At the end of book one, Connor kills a vampire he turned, but not before the vampire got to his sister Caelyn. Caelyn is dead or at least everyone thinks she is and is in the morgue. Connor is with her and she wakes up scaring the crap out of him in the process. So now Connor's sister is a vampir ...more

Your Soul To Take was awesome! It was funny and clever, and the story line was well written. The way that Sean Hayden wrote the book kept me feeling like I was inside of the main characters mind, and that definitely kept me entertained and giggling.

The book starts off immediately where it left off, which was exactly what I had wanted. It didn't waste any time delving right into the story, and even had a prologue at the beginning in case you weren't all clear with what was going on. We got to see

After reading My Soul to Keep I was happy to find out that the second book was coming out and I didn't have to wait three years for it. Your Soul to Take picks up right where the first book leaves off so you don't miss anything in the flow of the book. Conner grows in this book and i found that I liked him more although for the longest time I couldn't figure out why his relationship and interactions with his sister bothered me so much. I found out in this book as there was a lot more of the plot ...more

What Angela thought… 5 stars:

Loved! Let’s start from the end. Cliffhanger! OMG! I was super pissed, meaning I cannot wait for the next book to release. All your favorite characters return, but with more… spice, fun, excitement and DRAMA. Oh, yes drama central. Connor is such a sweetheart. He and Jess have a few up’s and down’s in terms of relationship issues. I loved reading more with them as a couple. Jess’s dad even gives Connor a break. Good things are happening… until shit hits the fan. Clar

Book two of The Fallen series starts off in the morgue, where Connor's sister has just awakened as a non-sanctioned vampire. I love how things got crazier and crazier for Connor, what with his girlfriend becoming an angel, his mentor and another angel wanting to be more than friends, and a psycho out trying to kill vampires like his sister just for existing. I absolutely loved the relationship between Connor and his sister.

As for the series itself, I truly loved it. The characters, the story, th

I have been waiting a long time for this 2nd half of the story. The only reason I got to read it was because friend bought me a kindle and sent this to me. Here in Canada I could have gotten it once but I didn't have the money at the time and when i did I couldn't get it anymore. I have kept on looking but nothing.

But anyways back to the book, I will have to say I still like Book one more but this one was good I just kind of wished it got to the end a little sooner. But over all still a nice twi

This book starts right where the last one left off with Connor's sister rising as a newly made vampire. Connor is kind of a super or uber demon and he is still trying to learn about his abilities and his place in the demon/angel hierarchy. The writing is better in this one. The cleverness and sarcasticness is a bit more down played and subtle. This is another fast paced story. Connor is a really good character, even though he has all these powers he is still really funny with his 15-year-old awk

Great addition to the series! There was a lot of things happening in this installment. Connor is learning more and more about being a demon. Things are getting really complicated with his girlfriend. There are a couple of new characters. I don't like to give spoilers, but the ending leaves you screaming "that can't be where this ends! I want the next book now!" In other words, this is a great series. Sean Hayden has the ability to pull you into the story and leave you screaming for more.

I loved the book. LOVED. And then it just ended, if you could even count that as an ending. A serious disappointment for me.

Born the son of a fire chief, Sean naturally developed a love of playing with fire. His family and friends quickly found other outlets for his destructive creativity. Writing is his latest endeavor.
Always a fan of the macabre, mythical, and magical, Sean found a love of urban fantasy and horror. After writing several novels in this genre, he found, fell in love with, and immersed himself in steamp
