I Should Have Said: Witty Comebacks I Only Wish I'd Said...to Friends and Lovers
Combining quirky, cartoon-like, felt-tip drawings with witty text, I Should Have Said… depicts hilarious conversations between men and women. Daisy de Villeneuve combines modern illustrations with unassuming snippets of dialogue as she explores the drama of modern-day friendship and love. Daisy depicts the scenarios where you wish you had said that thing to an ex, love interest, or any man on the street who has left you reeling after a snarky comment. With a sketchbook, diary-style design, the pared-down but stylish illustrations are captioned with text guaranteed to make you laugh. A gritty and humorous look at modern-day relationships, I Should Have Said… is a rich and affecting comedy of manners, an extended discourse on the nature—and more often than not, the failure—of communication between male and female friends and lovers.

To start with something positive... it's an art-book! :) Not exactly my cup of tea in terms of the illustrations style, but I always appreciate a book that is able to combine visual art & writing under the same umbrella.
From the title and the intro, I had really high hopes on the content of the book — I was actually expecting some funny dialogues & witty comebacks. Instead, it's mostly a collection of some normal / some odd / some funny lines she received from friends or ex-lovers over the years. And once in a while she mentions what she could have said, but rarely I found a witty reply amongst them.
It's a quick reading, you can easily go through it in about 20-30 minutes, depending on how much of a fast reader you are and how long you gaze at the illustrations.

Kind of a cool little art-book. Basically, a bunch of quotes from people being dicks to her, with occasional witty post-rejoinders, and drawings. Needed more rejoinders.
