Really good beginners' overview of point of view errors, great for advanced.

The first section goes into a fairly in depth of the 3 vp for fiction. Each section has the variants of that vp. Not exhaustive, but enough to get the beginner to understand the rest of the book.

Too often beginners write about action that takes place "out of sight" of the vp character's ability. This book does an excellent job of showing these and explaining why it shouldn't be done.

This writer's handbook is pure 24k gold and a highly recommended addition to any serious writer's virtual reference shelf. Compact and insightful with great examples, this guide condenses hours of award winning author Ken Pelham's seminars into an easy reading tool I plan on going over again so my fiction can be the best it can be. I owe my readers that. You will thank yourself for spending $0.99 on 'A Writer's Guide to Mastering Viewpoint'. I mean it cost less than the coffee I bought while rea ...more

I nice quick introduction for anyone, who like me, knows little about point of view beyond first, second, third. But , while I appreciated gaining a better understanding of subjective, omniscient, etc... many of his corrected examples seemed to "clunk" as hard as their flawed counterparts. So, not a bad short read for the POV curious, but serious writers should probably look elsewhere. ...more

This book is extremely innovative in the field of viewpoint, as well as structured and with suitable examples to illustrate what any author should do when writing. I highly reccomend it! Ken is a professional.

Un ottimo manualetto sul punto di vista, che analizza le varie possibilità di POV che si hanno nella scrittura di narrativa e saggistica, e porta molti esempi di errori comuni descrivendo come risolverli nelle revisioni.
