This novel is an interesting take on angels - and I love a good story about them. Fortunetly, 'The Other Lamb' is one of them. I found the story interesing, the plot kept me hooked and I enjoyed every revelation that we learn as the story continues. I'll be on the look out for the other books written by Katie Young!

I am actually completely taken aback by how much this book impressed me: though the synopsis intrigued me, I somehow didn't expect to enjoy it quite as much as I did! I'll start with the best part of all, and that is Katie Young's writing! It was just totally breathtaking! I was completely taken aback by how lyrical and gorgeous it was, and it flowed in such a way that I was hooked on it while reading. There is some r

HOLY HADES is what I have to say first! Man this book was FANTASTIC and anyone who knows me knows I love angel vs demon stories. I mean I love the good vs bad and everything in between. This story had so much going on and so many twists and turns and truths and lies.I started reading it at noon time and did not stop until I finished it 11:00 pm that night. I mean I just could not get enough I could not put it down.

Zach is your ordinary teenager going to school and has a best friend Kim. On his

I admit I started reading this book with some suspicion: having done some indigestion of Anne Rice books, I finally stopped reading stories about vampires. Except that this is not a book about vampires, but on creatures much more interesting, namely the fallen angels and their offspring, half-human. Starting from the legend that angels exiled from Paradise still drag their immortal lives, waiting in despair the day of judgment, when their souls end up in hell, the fine book by Katie Young tells ...more

When I first read the blurb for this, two things instantly caught my eye — the fact the MC, Zach, has had his heart cut out, and the obvious allusions to vampires. But the premise is actually quite a bit more fascinating, combining the mythology behind angels and vampires into something altogether new. I will admit that I find the cover design a bit repulsive, but since the story does contain graphic violence and sex, it’s a good representation of what readers should expect. This is most definit ...more

(This review may contain spoilers).

When I started reading this book, I wasn’t completely sure what to think about it. This was another book that took me a little while to get into… but once my suspension of disbelief was properly activated, I found myself getting properly into the book.

Angels and the themes of vampirism are both plots that, in my opinion, have become quite over-used. And vampires were ov

Zach is your normal awkward teenager until his 18th birthday where he wakes up to strange cravings and a huge scar across his chest. He has two normal parents and a friend, Kim who goes with him to watch their favorite band play.

Grigory is the singer of the band and Zach is mesmerized by his tall, dark and statuesque appearance. Grigory senses something different with the boy and invites him to join him after the show. Kim gets piss

Wow! I was not expecting this book! You know how sometimes you’re just chugging along like any other day and then BAM! you get smacked in the face by the unexpected and you just can’t look away? Yep, that was this book! The very first page has you scratching your head and wondering what on earth is going on… You get the answers…oh do you get the answers – but the way it plays out is amazing! This book is about Zach finding out that he isn’t exactly human and that his existence threatens the enti ...more
Okay, I know the blurb sounds super dang interesting which is why I requested it and it started off pretty well but then it got kind of weird. Then it got confusing. Then it got even more confusing and even more weird to the point where I didn't even know what the heck was going on anymore.

I think I would had enjoyed this read it it was a little easier to understand since you weren't really aware of whos point of view you were in and who was who and all of these other angels are caught in the mi

Received a complimentary copy to read and review. Great book. I couldn't put it down. The characters that Katie has created are great. I love the twists and turns in the book. The new twist on angels she uses is awesome. This is one book readers who love to read about angels will love. It's action packed and a page turner. Want to find out how it ends add it to your TBR list. You won't be disappointed. I look forward to reading more of Katie's books. ...more

Incredible!!! An imaginative story about angels, actions and consequences.
I would have read this a lot quicker, if I hadn't been so busy, because once you start you don't want to put it down anymore!

(view spoiler) The author wonderfully portrays the journey from despair to hope.

Can't wait for Katie Young's next book to be published!
