I wish I can say that I loved this book. It had every ingredient for a perfect 5 star read for me. It started out great and had me absolutely glued to the pages practically salivating for any and all hints about both MCs' history. The set up and the mystery about their past was very intriguing. Unfortunately the further into the book I got, the more frustrated I became not only with the story but with the characters as well. I've read some pretty batty heroines in the past, but I'm thin

What an amazing read by new to me author Jewel E Ann! Hook, line and sinker: that was me. I was caught in a spell woven by an author who really knows how to draw the reader in. When you read as much as I do it is rare to find something that grabs hold and doesn’t let go till the final page.

It feels very much like a NA read, but it’s also so much more than that. It is gripping, soulful, and unexpected. I fell in love with the realism created between Vivian and Oliver. At times it was heart breaki

I am in love with this book, it’s as simple as that. The love between Oliver & Vivian is organic, fresh and inspiring. This one consumed me.

I know you’re thinking, ohhhh, it’s another book about a virgin. But really, it’s not. While that might be part of who Viv is, it most definitely does not define her. I’d say her more defining characteristics are her impeccable sass, her penchant for eating donuts in a way that will make a man hard in 2 seconds flat, her geeky intellectual ways, and her

Idle Bloom majorly impressed me. I didn't go in with any certain expectations, but the story was so different and unexpected and so well written it blew me away. Vivian is a character that I quickly loved, she's smart, witty, and fun, but also scarred from her past. I'd want to be her bff is she didn't already have such a great one. Vivian meets Oliver on the train, and it's as if they are meant to be. They keep running into each other and their chemistry is off the charts; there was no way thes ...more

Armed with her acceptance letters to Harvard, the future is looking good for Vivian, until one tragic accident pulls her world out from under her and she fails to regain her balance and move forward. Keeping secrets have become part of her life as the world goes on and she is hung in limbo, working at a small shop, taking the bus to work and living with a friend, who asks her to leave every time their parents come to town. This bohemian lifestyle does have its perks, a stop at Dunkin’ donuts, an ...more

After reading Undeniably You - I became a big fan of Jewel E. Ann...so I picked out this book to see if maybe she was just a one-book-wonder, but alas I have found her to be one of my top 5 authors!!! She is so freakin' whitty, sharp, funny and writes some smokin' hot sex scenes too, but most of all you just don't get bored and the stories are just so good!!!

Received a complimentary copy for an honest review...Very few books that I've read have I felt that they should be a movie. Most books are just entertainment, and I close the book and be done with it and feel it was a good story and move on. This book, NEEDS to be a movie. I laughed. I cried. And I cried some more. I'm teary eyed just writing this review. Wow. It was just that great! This was a story of a man and a woman who knew they were meant to be together, but one struggles with dealings of ...more

I'm not certain I have ever had such a complete range of emotions and opinions while reading a book. Which is saying a lot, considering how many books I plow through each year. Idle Bloom was all over the place and not always in a good way.

Somewhere around 7% was when I had my first thought of DNFing. I felt like Vivian was too childish and I wasn't fully getting a grasp of what her life was about. There are a lot of lies. Lies with her parents, lies with her roommates parents, lies with everyon

Idle Bloom by Jewel E. Ann is a story like none I have encountered before and will pull at your heartstrings and bring a tear to your eye on more then one occassion while reading. The story has a powerful message that cannot be missed and the author has an amazing way of weaving this story to keep you guessing but also have you completely invested in the outcome of Vivian and Oliver's relationship. REVIEWED FOR SASSY DIVAS BOOK BLOG

Idle Bloom by Jewel E Ann was a brilliantly written story! I was hooked from the fist paragraph to the last. My God what a fantastic author! I had so many emotions while reading Idle Bloom. I was happy and laughing one minute, shocked another and then saddened, then back to happy. It wasn't overwhelming at any time, it all seemed to flow together just like it should. Jewel did a superb job of capturing the readers attention and holding onto it. Oh and she writes

As I'm sitting in my car pondering over this book and the two things that bothered me about this captivating and heart wrenching story, It doesn't take away from these flawed flawless characters. Vivian and Oliver had things happened to them that are unforgivable and inconceivable, but without forgiveness you stay trapped in hell with no hope of truly finding happiness. It was an emotional roller coaster of my heart, it was witty and pulled every single string of my heart.

Omg! this was so unbelievably good, amazing, heart breaking...I'm hugging my kindle.
I loved this book so much. I loved the heartbreak, the pain, the healing, the trusting… I’m telling you, every single word written was amazing.
This is a beautifully written story which is breathtaking and heartbreaking story.
These are two individuals who are hurt.. Hurt by their present, hurt by their past and looking for light in all the darness which consumes them.
I do recommend this book to you all!

How do you get over a jewel E Ann book? Read another of course! I started Idle Bloom immediately after finishing Undeniably You, and I have to say I loved this one too! This one was different; it wasn't as angsty but had mystery surrounding it too. There were a couple of kindle throwing moments but mostly it was laugh out loud funny with some major swoon worthy action I really, really loved Vivian. And Oliver *sigh*, lovely broken Oliver.

Absolutely, positively, fan-fucking-tastic! My goodness Jewel can write an amazing, lol, intense book! I was hooked from beginning to end and every emotion was displayed throughout this book. I laughed more then cried, but a couple parts got me teary eyed and choked up. The banter, so well written and the characters, shit everyone was just perfect. One of the most unconventional romances that I've read in a long time. Even as I thought I had it figured out, there was another layer the author forces you to discover and even more emotions to work through. I'm happy to report that this is story is in fact a full-bodied romance where from the first meet-cute moment of the characters, we get to watch them grow on each other and in turn we get attached to their individual struggles and unique stories that inspire. I will say that although reader ...more

News flash: This book is AWESOME

Vivian Graham and Oliver Konrad ride the same train to work each day. Vivian has been eying Oliver for a solid week, fantasizing about what he looks like under his tight t-shirts and jeans.

I seem to be in this predicament quite a bit lately but... Where to start with this wonderful story???

Vivian is such a sassy confident girl but all she sees is the broken in herself or worse than that, the pity in their eyes.
She is incredibly driven, leaving no doubt in my mind she COULD conquer the world if she put herself out there.

Oliver is in denial, hiding from a tortured past. The subject is OFF LIMITS!!! Literally locked away, he too hates seeing the pitying looks in the eyes of his neare
