Did someone say football? Oh, I'm such a sucker for football in my romance books. So choosing to read/review this one was an easy choice.

I haven't read the rest of the series, something I need to change. But I had no issue reading this as a stand alone. Knowing the other couples would have been nice but not necessary.

Now, let me tell you about the brilliance that is the book. It's a second chance story. These two met right out of college in Italy one summer and fell in love. It's not clear what

Woo! Second chance romance. Enemies to lovers. That just makes the reader girl in me go all...quivery. Sleeping with the Enemy was full of passion, manipulations, long ago misunderstandings and some pretty hot lovin as old flames are brought back together by someone trying to cause trouble for Jay's football team.

The quick of it is that Jay and Bridgett had a thing many years ago when they were barely grown and it ended...disastrously and they went their separate ways, grew up, cr

Sleeping with the Enemy is football, wine, fun and love—and those are all things that make me very happy!

Jay and Bridgett meet in Italy when they are young, and fall in love. They make plans for their lives and then Jay has a family emergency and heads back to the States. Through a serious of unfortunate events Bridgett and Jay go their separate ways—not without heartbreak and struggles. When Jay needs legal reinforcements he calls on Bridgett’s firm for assistance.

Sleeping With the Enemy

Loved this book. I have been waiting for this book since Bridget was introduced in Brody's book and I was not disappointed at all. The relationship between Jay and Bridget was so well written, so hot and I wondered if they would get their Happily Ever After. This is another great book in the Out of Bounds series. Hope there are more to come. Great book, great series, a must read!!

I have been given an advanced copy of this book. Tracy Solheim has always been a good writer and her books most enjoyable to read. But, Tracy's last two books, including this one, have brought Tracy to the forefront of contemporary authors. This book has many layers to peel, great depth and the best characterizations I have read in a contemporary in a long time. The two leading characters have such depth and history, threads weaving in and out that Tracy deftly sews together into a satisfying fa ...more

I read an advanced copy of this book and I loved Jay's and Bridgett's story. As usual Tracy has given us loveable, flawed characters with multiple layers. Their story was a funny, sweet, intense, and crazy roller coaster ride that made me want to read the whole book without putting it down. Tracy does a good job of telling their backstory with flashbacks so you can see what made them who they are currently or should I say why they are so messed up. It was also fun getting to touch base with char ...more

If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner. - Nelson Mandela

An honorable businessman. A determined lawyer. A troublesome blogger. And football! Tracy builds upon her successful franchise, the Out of Bounds series, with romance and drama on and off the field. Jay and Bridget work together despite their painful estrangement only to realize the spark still exists between them. They soon realize there is no "I" (or regrets) in team as th

I won a signed copy of this book in a giveaway and agreed to write an honest review. I enjoyed this story immensely. It never ceases to amaze me how wrapped up in the emotion of a story a writer can get me. Ms. Solheim does this excellently. I'm thinking to myself just talk to each other! Then the couple's history starts to be revealed and I'm siding with one of the main characters. Then a twist is thrown in towards the end and I'm thinking I did not see that coming, you should have talked to ea ...more

I feel so lucky to have been given an advanced copy of Sleeping with the Enemy - by far Tracy's best book to date. I loved the other books in the series as well and Tracy is such a skillful storyteller that you just find yourself falling a bit in love with the characters. In this story Jay and Bridget are so cute you are cheering for them immediately. But I also loved the other characters and found myself going "I hope her next book is about..." I really couldn't put the book down - it's the kin ...more

ARC from - This is a book in a series but you don't have to read the others to know what's happening. I love a contemporary romance with a rich back story. The main characters are two former lovers that find each other when he needs a lawyer. He manipulates the situation to get her into bed, but most romance novels have these semi implausible situations. The writer does a beautiful job of getting to the story plot while giving enough background to explain the character emotions. Re ...more

Tracy does it again! She made me cry at the end which is annoying since I get teased by my family. It also should give you a sense to what a great writer Tracy is! This book is everything that you want in a romance novel! One really gets involved with Jay and Bridget. You cheer for Bridget and her tough exterior and Jay who seems arrogant but it hiding so much depth beneath his character. This is a must read for anyone looking for both a romance and a great story.

Sleeping With the Enemy by Tracy Solheim is the 4th book in her Out of Bounds series. I have not read the earlier books, but after reading this book, I do plan on going back and read the other three. Sleeping With the Enemy reads very well as a standalone,

Bridgett Janik is our heroine, and she is a strong, smart, savvy one at that. Bridgett is a top notch lawyer, and isn’t too happy to be assigned to a case defending the Baltimore Blaze football team. The reason for her unhappiness? Jay McManus

Sleeping with the Enemy is a great read, The chemistry between Jay and Bridgett was so thick you could cut it with a knife, and def they are hot and heavy for each other still after all those years apart! Both do not want to give the other their hearts again after what happened 13 years ago, which was a misunderstanding. But the heart wants what the heart wants, and both their hearts want each other even if they dont want to admit it to each other or themselves!

Jay McManus was the youngest owner of a NFL team. When he bought it, he didn't realize all the baggage that it could come with it. While it was frustrated Jay thought he could handle the blogger that was constantly putting down and accusing players and owners, he was not expecting a lawsuit for sexual harassment. One that was filed against him and the team by a former cheerleader that surprised everyone.

So they made sure that he had the best lawyer possible for it....Bridgett Janik. Who just al

I received this book as an ARC from Netgalley and let me just say:

Holy smokes!!!! This book brought out all kinds of emotions. Highs and lows and everything in between. So glad it is has a happy ending. My only disclaimer is that it will be difficult to read for those who have lost a child. Ms. Solheim has definitely created another work of literary art.

"No," she said, her voice breathless. "No more. We had our walk down memory lane, but that's all it was. We were both tired and overwrought and we lost our heads."

He arched an eyebrow at her. "I have never been nor will I ever be 'overwrought'"

Bridgett's eyes narrowed and she released an exasperated huff. "No, but you are insufferable. You wore me down once, but it won't happen again. You are a client. Nothing else can or will happen." She jerked her chin up in the air, defying him to argue

My review cross-posted from Wit and Sin:

Tracy Solheim keeps the tension – sexual and otherwise – running high in Sleeping with the Enemy . Bridgett and Jay’s shared past is bittersweet and clearly ended badly, making their reunion romance anything but sweet. Though there aren’t tender feelings between them at the beginning of the book, what they definitely don’t lack is passion, and this keeps the story moving at a fast pace.

I adored Bridgett. She’s sm

My Review:
This book was so good. I love second chance romance stories and this one was a fabulous one.

Thirteen years ago, Jay and Bridgett were young and idealistic when they met the summer they were both in Italy. They fell desperately in love, but an awful set of circumstances means that neither thought the other truly reciprocated that love. Devastated...both of them. And now neither trusts love any longer. They both live for their jobs and find all their fulfillment through that.

An emotional read that brings two strong, flawed characters back together for a second chance if they can get past the hurt and misunderstandings that tore them apart years ago.
Jay McManus, owner of the Baltimore Blaze, is the youngest owner in the NFL and can't afford any missteps. Already targeted by When the team is hit with an unexpected lawsuit from one of it's cheerleaders,Bridgett Janik is the only option for representation. I was given this book for my honest review

Bridgett-sweet, pretty and smart

Jay-sexy and hot

From past to present this intensity of a romance takes leaps and bounds beyond most. The past that has come to the future is one that of forsaken dreams are made. With consequences of the past that have a bearing on this couples future this author brings us to a whole new world that has mystery, misunderstandings and healing on the forefront of their lives. Can this couple survive the past th

Author Tracy Solheim launches her Out of Bounds series into the 4th quarter with SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY (Berkley Sensation) and once again tensions are high off the field, but this time, the pressure’s on Baltimore Blaze football team owner, Jay McManus. A great story of second chance love. Who is the enemy in this story? Jay and Bridgett have a history of a summer romance from years past, that ended with a letter. Jay is now the owner of the Blaze Football team, he needs a good lawyer for his team for a sexual harassment charge. Who does he turn to but, Bridgett. Can they leave the past behind them, and start a new. The secrets will come out of who the enemy really is.

Excellent, Emotional...It was an amazing, touching book...A misunderstanding costs them so much time..

Bridgett Janik is to represent Jay McManus, and the Baltimore Blaze the football team he owns..The anonymous blogger is spreading some rumors about team members. They need to contain it before it get's worse.

It might be awkward because number one...her brother plays for the team, and number two Bridgett and Jay have a history. He warned her things could be come out about there past. She wasn't

I was given an advanced copy of Sleeping with the Enemy and absolutely loved it. This is the fourth instalment of the "Out of Bounds" series and Tracy did not disappoint. Tracy has a unique writing style that captures you from the very beginning and makes you want to finish as soon as possible. All of her characters are flawed and easy to relate too. They may not all be loveable at the beginning but by the end of the book they have definitely grown on you.

I was given an ARC of this book to read. I discovered the Out of Bounds series last year and became a fan of this author. This book has become my favorite book in the series so far. I loved everything about it from the characters to the storyline.

Secrets, secrets, secrets. Secrets shared and secrets guarded closely from others. And with a secret, it is always revealed.

I thought this book was fantastic. Seeing how different Jay and Bridgett viewed what happened to their relationship was very interesting. Seeing how it really happened was even better. Not to mention, the hot chemistry between Jay and Bridgett. I loved that they kind of hated each other, but couldn't stay away from each othe ...more

Sniff, sniff. Lots of heart. Lack of communication face-to-face is disastrous. Not a fan of intimate details anyway, so I kept wishing that instead of engaging in sex, these two characters would talk to one another about their past, present and future. Of course, the book would have been much shorter and not nearly as suspenseful or heart-warming if that had occurred. Mother and daughter, mother and son, siblings, and friends...many relationships are delved into with some good and some not so ha ...more

Tracy Solheim writes books with shirtless men on the cover. Some of them are actually best-sellers. The books, not the men. When she's not writing, she's practicing her curling. . . bottles of wine, that is. She's been known to cook dinner but no more than two nights in a row. Most days, she'd rather be reading, which to her is just necessary research. She lives in the suburbs of Atlanta with her ...more
