This story is full of Greed, jealousy, mystery and adventure..
Silver arrow is attracted to the white Ministers daughter Yvonne fom the moment he first sees her. He uses his magical powers to be able to spy on her to see if she would fit in with his people if he chose to pursue her. When Yvonne sees him she is very interested as well. Her step brother sees this and encourages Yvonne to pursue Silver Arrow because he wants to get his grubby hands on Silver Arrows hidden Gold.

Yvonne and Silver Arrows relationship runs into many obsticals that threaten to keep them apart. Silver Arrows Cousin is the worst, he tries so many times to bring Silver Arrow down but Silver Arrow keeps giving him another chance because he is family, but eventually he goes to far and Silver Arrow has no choice but to do what he does. His cousin was full of Greed, jealousy and hate and he made these feelings stronger by being addicted to fire water { alcohol} .

I really enjoyed this story, another great read by my favorite author...Cassie Edwards

Full disclosure that this isn't my first read by Cassie Edwards--it's my fourth, and no, they weren't all from the Savage series. In fact, even though this is book 4, it's my first book from the series, my fourth from the author. In fact, my first ever read by this author was Racing Moon, which was a bit of a miss for me--not because of the story itself, but because of the location of a swamp--just...ugh. Then, my second read was Wild Splendor, which was a better story to my liking and which I very much enjoyed. Then there came Bold Wolf which I read just recently, and which put me off by its writing--but I won't hold that against it, as maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind to read it, though.

Anyway, with a lukewarm-ish reception to this author's writing, I kind of went in half-half in terms of expectations, as I've concluded that this author, much like many, can provide stories are are hit or miss.

This one was definitely a HIT--like, home-run territory!

Simply put, the story centres around the young Ottawa chief, Silver Arrow, and the lovely Yvonne--the object of his affections. First of all, I just love having some brunette representation in this genre, as most of the heroines are either redheads or blondes when it comes to Native American romances. Like, give us brunettes some love too, y'all! Anyway, Yvonne also returns his affections, and while it's insta-love, I just love how the couple interacts and gets along--nothing wrong with that, especially if you need it once in a while!

Anyways, they overcome challenges (nothing graphic, thank goodness!) and have a very happy relationship, love life, and sex life. Like, just like in Wild Splendor, Cassie Edwards does not cheap out on the love scenes, and once the characters get going, they really go! Whew!

Ahem, but anyways, everything felt earned, deserved, and overall just a cozy, lovely love LOVELY time! The only .4 stars that I'm taking off for it is that the ending did feel a bit rushed, with a lot happening all too quickly in just a few pages (some more of that awkward writing that I observed in Bold Wolf), but considering that this was only for a few chapters or so that really didn't feel all that long, I'm still following my instinct and ranking this up to five stars!

Altogether, this has inspired me to put every single book from Cassie Edwards on my to-read list, since I've concluded that this author's works are definitely worth it! I love how she doesn't make her characters suffer needlessly, but still gives them challenges that they need to confront and overcome. It's a perfect balance that just vibes with me the right way and so, premises aside, I'm willing to trust this author even if it means encountering a few misses along the way. For the most part, I'm sure that I'll be reading through a lot more HITS in any case!

I don't want to be the person who uses the R word (racist), but I who else has thought the author was this & has also researched about her plagiarism??

I just think the word "savage" is disrespectful when referring to a whole ethnicity. That's all. Other than that, I hate using the R word.

Boring. Terrible story line. Some sex scenes, but repetitive.

Oh my god, how I hated this book. I got a lot of points though, I'll edit this review if I win (lose) the game.
Edit:
I won! It is the hollowest victory.
