Having read the author's previous two books, I've become familiar with her style of writing. If you read my review of "Pink Lips", you know that I was less than WOWED by it. But after being WOWED by the cover of this book, I couldn't help but pick up a copy in hopes that it would resonate with me a lot better than "Pink Lips" did.

It didn't.

I liked the author's heavy use of scripture in this book. I also liked the fact that this book was somewhat of a continuation of her first book, just with a

I read this book in less than three hours. The author keeps you engaged in each chapter. I felt like the author was speaking to me throughout the book. The book is very insightful to build a relationship with God and tells of areas and ways to improve with a "dusty crown." ...more

I am so glad that I have started reading the work of Heather Lindsey and will continue to do so for her, and her husband. I think my error was starting off with Dusty Crowns as I liked the message more than Pink Lips, but I see that I will need to go back and read that as well, as she makes a few references to that book.

I appreciate when she is candid about her past, as I, and plenty of other women can probably relate. I did not feel as I was being "talked down" to, but rather having intense si

Very good book

This book was an easy read. I couldn't put it down. I needed to hear from a sister, a woman who has not always walked the straight path but still found her way back to God. Once she submitted to HIM he gave her the desires of her heart. Her husband and her son. I enjoyed the fact that she was truthful. She didn't sugar coat anything. Overall good book.

I had pretty high expectations for this book considering that collectively her and her husband have a publishing company. There were several grammatical errors as well as words left out of sentences. The errors didn't take away from the content and message of the book but it just seemed liked the book was thrown together without it being thoroughly proofread.

Due to the fact the fact that I follow Heather Lindsey on YouTube I was able to read and I repeat the book sort of in the tone in which sh

Heart to Heart

I love Heather Lindsey! she always keeps it real and is so sensitive to God and what He wants. This book was amazingly written and heartfelt with Jesus at the center. It's not just for single or married women, but for everyone! I highly recommend it and pray it encourages you to take your walk with Jesus further and deeper!

This was a short read and I got through it pretty quickly. I have read the author’s first book and had been meaning to pick this one up. I am used to her style of writing, however, she jumps around a lot. There is no focus on the point she is trying to make and the grammar threw me off a couple of times. She mentioned “Dusty Crowns” once or twice in the book, but that was it.

I believe that what she is talking about is powerful, just not focused. I give it 3 stars.

I enjoyed this book for the most part.

There was some parts of the book that I don't agree with and there was one scripture that was not correct, but the book was very good overall. Her style of writing was easy to follow.

An amazing book from beginning to end. I loved how Heather drew the reader in through her own personal experiences. I would highly recommend it for all women to read.

This book is worth a second read. Chapter 5: "What kind of Diamonds are on Your Crown?" was a slap on my face. Followed by Chapter 6: "Your Attitude: Miss Know it All" & Chapter 7: "Physical Appearance". Those were God talking directly to me, reinforcing what have already told me. In the beginning this book sounded very similar to "Pink Lips & Empty Hearts" but as continued to read, found it much more deeper. It could be because of the season I am on now, but this book covers so many areas that ...more

I recommend this book to any woman, any age, no matter where you are in your walk with Christ, to read this book. I believe that sister Lindsey's words are truly God inspired and was right on time for me. I love her transparency of her own life and total real ness. This book has helped me to reconnect with my Jesus through being intentional in spending time with him and learning to trust in his timing! My decision of abstinence until marriage has been strengthened by the encouragement to do the ...more

The book cover gave the impression of a deeper content which was not the case. However, the book covered some basic principles which we sometimes miss in the midst of our busy hectic lives. So, it offered some kind of back to the basics refresher. Easy read and the author has a nice way of talking with readers and sharing real stories. Yet, the book needs serious editing.

A MUST read for women

I am not much of a reader and recently I decided to start reading more and getting away from tv. I wanted something inspirational especially since I am getting back to church and wanting a closer relationship with God. This was the perfect start and now I want to read her first book...Pink Lips and empty hearts.

Not really worth the hype

I respect Heather Lindsey and her fire for God. But what I don't understand is the formatting and grammar of the book. It needs so much more editing and expanding. I really felt that it was written because #1 she needed more money #2 consistency.

Not my favourite book by her ! I love her ministry but a lot of her views in regards to what constitutes submission differs from mine . Ok book but not one I would pick up again . I feel she has evolved in her thinking and her writing since the initial publication of this book

“Do not apologize for wanting to be a wife and not a girlfriend. You encourage a man to think about his motives and his vision. If you have a "girlfriend" mindset you will do just about anything without a ring. You will play house, wear whatever and will not challenge him to measure up and step up to the plate. So, do not get mad if the guy runs off to dusty, trashy crowns who have low or no standards . Hold onto your standards because your future husband will be looking for a godly wife.” 4 likes
