First let me say I thought the cover of the first book was gorgeous. The second one is equally gorgeous.

In this sequel to "Dangerous Reflections” we find Alexis Davenport’s life is beginning to look up. In the first book she and her mother had to move into her aunt’s guest house because her father deserted them and cleaned out the bank account while he was at it. She has survived her first year of high school and being bullied. She has a gorgeous boyfriend named Drake and her mom is actually let

Welcome back into the mind and heart of young teen, Alex Davenport as, once again her abilities take her through the mirror and into the past to assure that history is not changed. Alex has her own issues in the present, insecure feelings, boys, making new friends, wanting to be accepted, worrying over all the things girls worry over. Add to that, her “abilities” to time travel and the fact that she must keep this a secret, her plate is full to overflowing. Thank the stars for her best friend, a ...more

I was very much excited when I received the news from the Publisher that I will be receiving an e-ARC of Twisted Reflections after I reviewed the first book, Dangerous Reflections (click here for the review). I'm really interested to see how things go for Alex in this book.

This one did not disappoint. I got to see how Alex handles her "gift" and continues to fight off the Drifter. There were new characters too. I think the addition of Sean and Gavin's characters were very wise and helpful for t

Okay, this book was a continuation of the previous book, Dangerous Reflections. I was also given this ebook in exchange of an honest review, and an honest review it shall be. YES, AN HONEST REVIEW.

This book follows the story of Alexis, who can travel back in time to kind of "save" the day. Based on the previous book, there seemed to always be this evil guy that's been traipsing through time, ruining different events. Everytime, Alexis gets sent back to the same time as him, and had to save the d

Alexis Davenport's fortune has taken a change for the better but the tampering of historical events drags her back in time once again. Another time traveler lends aid and provides insight into her developing abilities. Meanwhile her old adversary is growing more desperate forcing Alexis to ask herself how far she is willing to go to stop him from altering history. This is the second book in the Adventures Of Alexis Davenport trilogy.

Hello fellow readers!
Like book one in this series, I was given this book for free to read, in exchange for an honest review.
If you want to talk quick read, wow! I would have been able to finish it in one sitting, if I hadn't started it so late at night. It kept my attention the whole way through (though, I did have to re-read a page or two because I was confused about who was talking at one point). I do think that the story moved too quickly. I understand that it is about the time travel adven

Twisted Reflections is the second book in the Adventures of Alexis Davenport Series. After really enjoying the first book, this one definitely does not disappoint! It is once again, filled with adventure and history as you read on. It begins where the last story left off. We continue on Alex's adventures as she still as her link to the past through mirrors. What I liked a lot about this story is the many elements - not only do we have Alex's time-travel adventures, encounters with another travel ...more

"So you're the little bitch that's been foiling my master's plans. This is getting very troublesome."

The Good
Well I really liked how Twisted Reflections throws Alex a loop...a new traveler named Sean. This new traveler has a master and claims that masters seek out travelers. Where the hell is her teacher right? Drifter does a great job helping you root against him. Really like that in a villain.

The Bad
The Ending for Twisted Reflections just kind of arrives out of nowhere. It didn

Everything I loved about book 1 is present and continued in this book. I loved it just as much as book 1. It had the same excellent blend of real life teen-aged drama and fantasy with the time traveling. It is excellent (and intended) for young readers, as well as adult readers like me. This is a fantastic YA book that picked up right where Dangerous Reflections left off. I am absolutely in love with this series and have flown through each book in a matter of hours. If this is an example of what is to come, Shay Fabbro has a definite fan in me. These books were awesome! I also love (and hate) the cliff hanger at the end of each book. She really knows how to keep you hanging and waiting for the next book! I love Alexis and her moms relationship. It is so authentic. The was Alex ...more

This story picked up right where the first book left off. I enjoyed that the main character is starting to come into her own with becoming a stronger person in confidence and determination and adjusting to her "special gift". The attitude is spot-on and serves as a reminder that a teenager, and a girl at that, is the one dealing with the pressure of the unknown, maintaining the proper history timeline, and day-to-day lif

Detailed Review: *I received a copy of the book from the author in exchange for my honest review*

I was immediately transported into Alex's world from the first page. I think what is the most important element in a sequel are the characters. They should stay the same and shouldn't change at all unless they had a reason to.

I was glad to find that nothing had really changed in the characters, which could have potentially hamp

As if Alex didn't have enough to deal with, the evil prescence that precedes her into the past now definitely wants to kill her. This time she discovers something new though; another traveller.

I was once again immersed into Alex's world as she tries to balance friendship, work and boys with her supernatural time travel powers. The threat to her life is becoming more apparent, and her powers are also growing as she realises she is capable o

Read the full review at Tales Between the PagesI'm conflicted about Twisted Reflections. It is just as good as Dangerous Reflections but I think that it is too short. A YA book at 190 pages just isn't long enough to develop the plot. Book at that length are generally for middle-grade readers. In truth, the plot of Twisted Reflections could have been tacked on to the end Dangerous Reflections quite easily. Or, perhaps, split between Dangerous Reflections and the third book, Desperate Reflections. ...more

I enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book for young adults (I am a Mom, also), as well as other age groups.

I enjoyed reading about Alex's Time Travel's, and her ability to change certain events of the past for the better. I liked seeing the moral and age transitions in Alex as she faced numerous dilemmas in each time travel.

Despite not liking how Alex behaves, it's a captivatig time travel read. I loved her joy when she got a new house with her mum, with pretty furniture and her own bathroom. Her friend gets jealous which I understood, because all too often people can see the good parts of your life and not realise a lot of anguish accompanies the perks.

Boy does Alex hae a lot of issues. I'm not saying what thy are, but I will say she acts like a brat during some of them. I understand she is scared and confused,

This book was so amazing! It's not often you get a sequel that is almost as good as the first book and keeps you wanting even more. Shay West continues an action-packed adventure with Twisted Reflections. This book is a perfect follow-up to Dangerous Reflections. It picks up in the perfect spot and launches the reader right back into the complicated world of Alexis Davenport.

Despite not having read the first book, the author sums up the significant parts of the first book quite well. Alexis looks in mirrors, sees someone else in it, and knows she will end up time-traveling. Unfortunately, she has no control over this.
