Paleo Slow Cooking

Back in the Paleolithic era, hunter-gatherers thrived on a diet of fresh meats, fish, seafood, fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and healthy oils. In fact, the primary foods that cause health issues today processed foods, refined sugars, dairy products, and cereal grains—are exactly what the Paleo diet excludes. Want the best of both worlds—eating like a caveman while living a busy, modern life? Paleo Slow Cooking makes it simple.

This book is full of GREAT recipes!!! I've loved just about everything I've tried, including some that made me VERY nervous. That being said, I'm pretty sure the person who prepped the pictures didn't bother to read the full recipes, because they frequently contain ingredients that are nowhere in the recipe. Also, the recipes needed another go-over by an editor, as on several occasions there were ingredients listed that never showed up in the rest of the instructions and I had to guess as to when they needed to be added. My favorite error was when part of the sidebar recipe got tacked onto the bottom of an actual recipe, resulting in instructions indicating that I was supposed to mix the fish with all the other ingredients and store it in a jar in my cupboard. Yeah, no.

Solid paleo cookbook void of coachspeak. Glad this was one of the guides I chose for transitioning into the eating norms... simplified the seeming-enormous shift of those initial weeks.

Taking time experimenting! Enjoyed a handful of recipes, some twice, with many others tabbed.

Delicious healthy food, reader-friendly resource. Special kudos to editor, designers & photog for enhancing Paleo Slow-Cooking's accessibility and aesthetics.

I stopped reading when the very first recipe had typos and mistakes. Ingredients listed but not included in the recipe steps, and vice versa. With all the other paleo cookbooks out there, I don't have time for this. Editor, much?
