I personally did not like this book. The mom had a bad day and the little child gets angry at her. I liked how in the end he realizes that he needs and lover his mom.
I wasn't super sold on this book until the very end. After a long day with Mommy, the little fox doesn't want anything to do with her. She demands that Daddy take over all of the things Mommy usually does for her, until everyone is saddened by the argument. Not exactly a great lesson to send to kids. But when Mommy comes in and talks with her daughter, we see an adult and their charge actually talking about their feelings, discussing where both could have done things better, and ultimately heali

I really like this book and would recommend it for any library and teachers pick.
It gives a wrong message to kids. I mean, come on, it starts out "Mama is in a bad mood." So the kid (fox) ask her dad for everything and gets want she wants. The end.

The illustrations are expressive without being overbearing, and the story moves along well. Preschoolers and elementary aged children will definitely understand the message. See what Mom thought in her review at the Reading Tub.
