The legend has become reality, even if the people of Shiloh, Virginia don’t know it yet.
Starlette McKinley had moved across the US only to find that the darkness raging inside of her wasn’t something of her own creation. It wasn’t something that could be medically treated by psychiatrists or any type of medication. The darkness was her power, and it was going to stay.
When she accepts that the greatest threat of all lies within herself, she will have to choose: Push away all those that she loves in order to keep them safe, or keep them near and witness their deaths.
Only through the help of The Divine will she be able to face what is to come. But at what cost? What sacrifice will The Divine demand as payment?
Desiree DeOrto is a mother of four adorable little hellions. When she's not busy wiping noses, stopping toddler WWIII, cooking, or cleaning she can be found creating complex characters in believable worlds, throwing confetti, or causing general mayhem. First of all, if you haven't read The Prophecy, STOP READING THIS REVIEW RIGHT NOW AND READ THE PROPHECY!!!!!!!
Ok, now that I'm talking to the die-hard fans (because who COULDN'T read The Prophecy and not be a die-hard fan), y'all want more of Andrei and Michael, right?!?! There's plenty of them here!!!! Ok, not enough....it's never enough, is it? Still...if you're an Andrei or Michael fan you WILL NOT be disappointed.
Now that I got the hot guy discussion out of the way, the story REALLY starts to get stressful in this book. There are like a million twists I wasn't expecting. The character relationships get WAY more complicated. The drama and tension REALLY draw you in. No, it won't always go the way you want it to (is Star EVER going to get a break?!?!?) but you will be so glad you read it.
You never stop needing to know "what happens next?!?!?" And the cliffhanger will leave you biting your nails and begging Desiree DeOrto to FINISH THE NEXT BOOK ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh My Devastation Dive Star all 5 of them - The Devine is book 2 in The Divinity Stone Series, It picks up where book one left off. It doesn't stop for one minute either, I read this in one sitting & was talking to my kindle the whole time. Starlette is shaken to her foundation along with Andrei and her mother. She is now forced to accept her destiny and her powers, even though she still has no clue what she is suppose to do and when. The weight of humanity lies on this young woman's shoulders with no one really showing her what she is suppose to do to protect humanity and herself. She also still has to act normal like any other 18 year old girl. Everything is happening so fast and spiraling toward a apocalyptic ending. Can Starlette do what needs to be done. This is a MUST read I am now not patiently waiting for the next book! Well played Ms. DeOrto well Played!
Absolutely stunning addition to this series! This book is positively amazing! I seriously have nothing bad to say about this book, it made me mad, sad, happy, and excited! Anyone who read DS one will not be disappointed with moving on with this series. I had the amazing opportunity to Beta this book and seriously what Miss DeOrto does with her books is AMAZING! She is a visually stunning writer. If you haven't read The Divinity Stone, go. Seriously. I love all her work and can picture it as I read. She is very descriptive in her writing and her characters are strong and beautiful! You will not be disappointed!
First, I would like to thank the author Desiree DeOrto for giving me this book for an honest review. I enjoyed this book very much and I have to say I love the violet eyes of the female on the cover. The world building is nicely done. The story-line is awesome. The characters are well written and developed. I look forward to reading more from this author.
This book was great. The emotions were overwhelming. I had to take a few breaks from reading. I really like Andrei and hope it works out for him. The ending was great, looking forward to book 3.
