My first Shiloh Walker, and it won't be my last! What a perfect combo of tough, bada$$ alpha and tender, teddy bear protector Decker far the best thing about this story! He picked his woman a long time ago, and even though he was the kid from the wrong side of the tracks and never felt good enough for Lizzie, he still loved her from afar and defended her when she needed him most.

The sad part is that Decker's protectiveness was a bit too fierce, and he's been in prison for seven years.

I did not connect with the story nor the characters in this book. Lizzie and Decker have this mysterious connection from the past that slowly unfolds. In present time Lizzie has some jerk-off boyfriend who wants to try an "open" relationship because shes just not enough for him. He wants more kink or something. She goes on some creepy dating website to attact men. The same creepy website that her boyfriend was playing around on. Gross.
So Decker is waiting in the wings for his shot. But instead o

Good romance featuring a chubby heroine and ex-con killer hero (don't worry, he's likable). Cute angle using a dating site. Both have feelings for the other but think the other only wants a friendship.

Not all bad boys are bad. Some bad boys are so good. Decker Calhoun is finally out of jail for killing a man. He threw away a college scholarship and a future because of a girl. Said girl, Elizabeth Waters aka Lizzie, is his best friend.

Does this even happen now a days? What Decker did was obviously wrong in the eyes of the law even if his intentions were good. Basically, if a person has a temper, it's best they learn to control it fast because otherwise, bad things can happen. The entire premi

Wasn't too impressed with the male character. He sleeps around too much for my taste.

Gah. I hope I never meet a guy who will tell me that he loves me to my face, but who still continues to sleep around with other girls.

OH MY! LOVE DECKER and all his tattoos and his protectiveness! Lizzie on the other hand needs slapped upside her head and dump Noel yesterday. (I'm sorry his name just bugs me. Really, what guy is named Noel?) Their friend, Selah, was outrageous. She's a keeper. It took to long to find out why exactly he went to prison. I wanted to read more of his bonus letters to her. I think this story ended too quick. There needed to be more.

I’m always in the mood for a convict romance. I’ve watched my fair share of lock-up on MSNBC… I can’t help myself. So when I heard the newest Shiloh Walker book featured a hero recently out of prison, I said let’s go. Unfortunately, I found this one to be middle of the road. I didn’t dislike it, but it’s not my favorite.

This is a best friends to lovers theme with a prison visit in between. Decker did something one night that sends him to prison for seven years. The day he goes, his friend Lizzie

Short, steamy friends-to-lovers story which I enjoyed but I needed something more to really love it.

What’s better than falling in love with your best friend? Decker has always been in love with Elizabeth, always the best friend and loving her from afar. He sees himself as just the kid from the wrong side of the tracks, not wanting to sully her perfection with the likes of him. But he’s also made it his mission to be her protector. And that’s how he finds himself in jail for ten years.

Elizabeth has always stayed true to her friendship with Decker, even when others don’t support of it.

This was a great short story. I was able to read the whole thing in just a few hours and enjoyed it immensely.

Decker Calhoun has always love Lizzie Waters – but he knows he has never deserved her.
After being released from prison, he knows that is even more true….even if the reason for being in jail in the first place was to protect Lizzie.
While he was in prison, Lizzie started dating Noel – who is, for lack of a better term – a douchebag.
Decker lets her be, thinking that she is happ

Decker has been in love with Lizzie forever but never felt he was good enough for her. He gave up everything to protect her though and has spent the last 10 years in jail paying for his over protectiveness. Lizzie stood by him when he went to jail and her letters and visits were the only thing that kept him sane. He always hoped that when he was released he would have a second chance to win her heart but months before his release she started dating Noel. Now, three years on, Decker has to watch ...more

He should have moved on…

Decker Calhoun spent seven years in jail. I loved Decker, he’s a great character. I loved how he had no regrets from doing what he had done that landed him in jail. He saved someone he cared about and that’s all that mattered to him. He’s loyal to a fault but it was hard to understand why Decker loved Lizzie. Perhaps it was the Lizzie he knew before that he remained in love with for the Lizzie we are introduced to is not much of a woman.

I'm a total sucker for unrequited love stories. When I first read the blurb for this book, I thought, "Oh Decker!" Of course once I got started, I learned more about Lizzie and Decker's relationship and I fell a little more for the both of them.

It goes without saying, I liked this book. I wish Decker had spoken up sooner and gotten over the idea she was too good for him. I do like how he finally decided to step up to bat, so to speak. I guess love did make Lizzie blind to what an ass her boyfrie

You Own Me is a steamy romantic comtemp novella about a man (Decker) whose overwhelming love for his best friend (Liz) leaves him serving a 10 year prison sentence in his need to protect her. Her letters and visits kept him sane but when Decker is released, his dreams of them getting together romantically is dashed and instead he spends the next 3 years watching her being treated terribly by her currant boyfriend. Finally his chance comes when Liz dumps her boyfriend and signs up for a computer ...more

Decker knows hes do anything for Lizzie, even go to jail. Hes already done that, as a matter of fact. If only Lizzie could see herself the way he does. Stuck in a relationship thats slowly crushing her, shes finally getting the courage to do something about it. Could this be the in Decker needs?
Quick read, smutty fluff and feelings in a great combo.

I wasn't expecting much when I started this one. It was ok, but what won me over, was towards the end when we learn what happened in the past and the letters that Decker never sent. I great way for this one to end!

3 sweet and sexy stars!

This was a good quick read. It runs shorter than a full-length novel but it still packed a punch in terms of emotional gravity when it needed to be. And I did enjoy the build-up and that inevitable falling into lovers from being friends.

This book had great potential, but it definitely didn't live up to it for me.

Decker Calhoun has been in love with Elizabeth Waters since they were teenagers, but since he's been serving the last ten years in prison, he doesn't think he stands a chance with her. She's in love with Noel, a guy she met a couple of years prior, and has no idea of Decker's feelings for her. Decker just wants her to be happy, even if it's not with him.

I LOVED IT. Love, love, loved it!!! You Own Me is one of those books that has that “thing” that makes me love it so much that I can’t really explain it. It’s just how it makes me feel.

Decker has loved Lizzie for years – pretty much since they met in high school. But he kept his feelings to himself because he didn’t feel like he deserved her, didn’t feel like he was good enough for her. However, he couldn’t imagine her not being a part of his life, so he was resolved to be her friend. Unfortunate

My Review:
A- rating...

This book starts out with a heartbreaking, emotion-filled scene which sets the tone for the incredible bond between these two characters, Lizzie and Decker. What that initial scene doesn’t do though is tell you exactly how these two people got to this place in their lives.

Decker and Lizzie are best friends. 10 years ago he went to prison. He’s been out for a few years, but it was too late. When he was released Lizzie was already involved with Noel. Although in all honesty,

In You Own Me by Shiloh Walker, protective and in love with his best friend Lizzie, Decker goes to prison for a crime he committed to keep her safe. While in prison, the letter's from Lizzie are what get him through his darkest days. Decker has never felt good enough for Lizzie though, and has never told her how he feels.

Lizzie has moved on with her life after Decker went to prison. She owns a coffee shop, and has been seeing her boyfriend Noel for 3 years. When Noel proposes a whole new kind of

This is a story about second chances & how you make the best of an opportunity when the time comes…

10 Years before, Decker went to prison to save Lizzie. Lizzie was devastated that she lost the man she secretly was in love with to prison. That day, that horrible day Decker told Lizzie “ no regrets”. Fast forward years later and Decker is out of prison, on parole and Lizzie and Decker are best friends. Decker is secretly in

You Own Me by Shiloh Walker is an outstanding book. Decker has trumped all other book boyfriends on my list… ok so maybe he’s tied with Curran from the Kate Daniels series. But damn this was sweet and sexy and so typical Shiloh Walker in a slightly dark and erotic way that ties you up on the inside. When I finished I felt like sobbing in happiness.

Decker spent the seven years in prison, and only one person stood by him the entire time the one woman he has loved and will never stop loving. Lizzie

As a first time Shiloh Walker reader, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. My first small steps into the Shiloh Walker pool have been a success!!!
I loved every minute of the journey with Decker and Lizzie.
Decker is a strong alpha male with a fierce protectiveness similar to Nalini Singh's changeling men. But underneath all that tattooed exterior is a guy who was absolutely owned by Lizzie. Lizzie is his best friend, has been since their teenage years, and Decker has been in love with Lizzie sinc
