description

After reading several dark and emotional books, I decided to go with a sweet and lighthearted read like this one. It was definitely refreshing and relaxing to read a story that was drama-free and had extremely likable characters. And with the main setting revolving around Christmas time, it’s the perfect holiday romance and guaranteed to warm your heart and make you smile.

At the heart of this book is a second chance romance between first loves. A summer not so long ago, the heroine Ho

5 Sweet Stars!

I've been thinking of what I was going to say in this review for a few days now, and I'm still struggling to find the right words. Holly Lane is the debut novel for author JB Morgan and is a clean, refreshing romance novel.

Holly Lane follows the story of Hollie and Layne. Hollie goes to Hawaii on her senior trip. Her last hoorah with her girlfriends before everyone goes away to college. What she doesn't anticipate is meeting Layne.....Layne is stationed in Hawaii and is enjoying

Holly Lane is JB Morgan’s debut novel about first loves, lost loves, reunions and a Christmas miracle!

I must admit that I’m not a huge fan of Christmas stories. I know I’m definitely in the minority with this one but Christmas books make me think of winter and being cold and honestly…give me a setting of the beach and I’m totally there! So, in a way this was perfect, because Hollie and Layne meet in Hawaii when both of them are on vacation.

The story starts out in present day and then goes back

~~ 4 You Are My Sunshine Stars ~~

Holly Lane is the Debut novel for author J.B. Morgan and I have to say I thought she did a great job. She created a story that was sweet and tender from beginning to end. I think I had a smile on my face for most of the book. Now even though I say that, there were also some sad moments that brought tears to my eyes. To me this was the epitome of a fairytale romance story. She created ch

If you could see me right now I have a big silly smile on my face. That was the sweatiest, swoon worthiest books I’ve read in a while. Some people might not like super sweet romances, but I do and this was it. For a debut book by JB Morgan this was pretty darn good. I really enjoyed Holly Lane and all the characters that made up the sweet, funny story.

On an after graduation trip to Hawaii with her girlfriends, Hollie meets Layne. Layne is in the army and is stationed in Hawaii (lucky guy). Holli

4 Sunshine-y stars!

What a delightful treat from debut author J.B. Morgan. If you're looking for a heartwarming tale this holiday season (or anytime, really), look no further than Holly Lane.

A cast of likable characters, a swoony male lead, numerous LOL-moments, and a sweet love story, Holly Lane had me smiling, laughing, crying, and just generally feeling happy.

I urge readers to give J.B. Morgan a chance. She crafts a clean New Adult novel that keeps the reader turning the pages. Bravo, Ms. M

What a ride! A true love story.... I was an emotional wreck by the end. I cried and my heart was truly broken and healed. Such strong characters. I love the parents they are just awesome!

I feel like I got to know these characters and my heart was and is still a bit broken for Hollie. Such a strong young women.

I received a complimentary e-copy of Holly Lane in exchange for an honest review.

Hollie is heading out on the trip of a lifetime to Hawaii It's her class trip with her fellow senior class to celebrate their high school graduation and she's looking forward to spending time in the sand and surf with her two best friends. She meets Army soldier Layne, when she literally bumps into him on the street and then later that day trips over him on the beach. Layne is enamored with the pretty, but klutzy a

I was trying to think of a word to sum this book up. A few came to mind: romantic, hearts and flowers, heartwarming, soppy...

It reminded me of a Nicholas Spark book, in particular Dear John. It has that same mushy (and I mean that in a good way) vibe to it.

Holly meets Layne in Hawaii while she's there on holiday with her friends after graduating high school. She runs into him literally,

I really enjoyed Holly Lane! I was in the mood for a good, heart-warming Christmas book, and this was just what I needed. I have to say, I first fell in love with the New Adult genre about two years ago, but I have noticed that many of the newer NA books are more erotica-like, than New Adult, so I have found myself becoming disappointed with my latest reads. Holly Lane is the style of New Adult book that I fell in love with. Yes- it's still romantic, and yes, it's a coming of age book. It also h ...more

I found the main character to be quite mature, from the very beginning she reminded me of myself. Despite being on vacation, she got mildly sick and sometimes tired, I felt I could relate and it brought a realistic element to the story.

The romance was very sweet, exactly what you hope for in a holiday romance. Also, the dialog was very realistic. Fans of fan fiction or other books filled with dialog will like this story!

If you are looking for a holiday romance, I would recommend this book. Set

I TRULY ENJOYED IT !
It's about first true love and second chances.
The characters are very relatable. I adore Layne and Hollie so much. Their chemistry was incredible. The author wrote this story so amazingly well.
It made me cry, laugh, and definitely had an adventure of reading Holly Lane.
It's also J.B Morgan's debut novel. It's an amazing debut for her. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more of her

I absolutely loved Holly Lane! I had a lot going on, personal junk, when I originally downloaded the book and kept putting it off. I read bits of the beginning but never really allowed myself to sit down and dig in. Once I did? I couldn't stop! I finished the book one night and just read and read and read for hours. I couldn't put it down. Layne was such an intriguing character and the way that Morgan portrayed their relationship was wonderful. 5 stars for Holly Lane, an awesome debut for Morgan ...more

I really wanted to love this book! It sounded like it was right up my alley. Christmas book? Awesome. Second chance romance? Wonderful! Vacation romance? Even better! Alas, it just didn't happen. Most of this book was spent during the week that Hollie is on vacation and meets Layne. This part of the book was ok, and cute at times. My problem with it was that there was just too much information. The reader is subjected to every single thought th

This book is one of the lamest I've read so far, and I've read many. It takes 'go with the flow' to an entirely new level, the nincompoop level. Holly is an 18 year old graduate who has no sense of right or wrong, caution or self preservation, she agrees to play fake wife to a guy she meets a day earlier, becomes chummy with him and ends up losing her heart to him. I've never seen a romance book progress at such an unearthly pace. Plus the dialogues are repetitive, boorish and utilise the phrase ...more

I did not understand the beginning at all, it felt like a whole separate book start. I had a hard time reading the book like a letter or texting. I understand the long distance and time love can endure, but It was annoying. Half the book had the wrong spelling for a common word. Time frame was not clear so it was confusing the last time he comes to her. The one possibly redeeming factor which is why I gave it a three is the end. I almost dropped the book completely, but I had to give it a chance ...more

Author J.B. Morgan writes sweet romances with a good dose of humor, sensible heroines, good-decent guys, realism, and happily ever afters. Growing up, she would dream up hero-rescuing stories in her head, revolving around the boys she had crushes on at school. She's in love with the idea of love. Her debut novel, Holly Lane, landed her as a bestselling author in the Coming of Age genre, and her ne ...more
