Hey, God, Why Is It Taking So Long?: Navigating Through Life One Step at a Time
In her first book, Lynette Hagin draws from a lifetime of ministry to tackle tough questions that every believer faces, such as: Does God have a specific plan for my life? Does my life have any real worth or purpose? How do I deal with all the bumps in the road? This life-changing book will help believers stay focused on God's assignments for their lives and stay faithful until their fruitful season arrives -- in His time.

Lynette's personality shines through this book, super-practical and purpose-oriented, with the benefit of decades of experience, living under the Holy Spirit's guidance. Encouraging and inspiring, and not just for women.

Just the title can give people idea of what kind of person Lynette is. Even with your elders or your superior in work place, you don't say, "Hey...". Here she is proud to write a book with "Hey God.."? then the complain, nagging "Why is it taking so long?...."
So disrespectful!
The content is average teaching/advising, through vaguely dishing out nonsense, Christian-colored advices to deal with up and down of life. If one doesn't research/learn a little bit deeper about Christianity, s/he might conclude Christians and their God are puny, nonsensical. Sad, another effort to sell books. Nothing is particularly unique - except disrespectful tone on the cover - nor provides any new insight in terms of endurance, patience, and tough-it-out-will that hundreds of psychology, other excellent Christian, and self-help books already offered.

For nearly everything in my life worth having, there is a waiting period. Waiting on the Lord actually means being patient when my life doesn't seem to be panning out the way I thought it would. It means trusting fully that the Lord's plan will come to pass.

I read Ms Lynette’s book as a type of devo in the mornings for the past several months. I was always uplifted when done reading. Filled with hope and in faith. I love her genuineness, her stories, and how her sweet self comes through the words. Definitely a blessing!
