You know that episode of the Twilight Zone (or the segment in the movie) where the kid can do whatever he wants with his mind, and everyone around him is terrified? Well he grew up in 13th century India and was worshiped as God. He would do some nice things, while being a jerk. He would also do some terrible things. When they people thought there would be no repercussions they just let him. When he got so out of hand they really freaked out, not knowing how to reconcile this guy's divinity with the consequences they would all experience from his actions. For my money, this is far more terrifying than Atheism. Thanks Hal!
