Illict Desires is set in Miami and is a non stop page turner written mainly from Raphael's point of view. He is the head of the family, a very powerful cartel who run drugs, guns and women. Young, handsome and unbelievable wealthy he runs the family business from his Spanish Lady office tower. Upon his building steps a beautiful woman is mugged. This unsanctioned act of violence on his home turf initiates a chain of events that

When I heard that Nazarea Andrews was releasing a dark romance novel under the pen name Taylor Michaels, I instantly knew that I was going to read it. Then I read the synopsis and needed to read the book right that second. That didn't happen, but once I did have it in my hands, I devoured it like only a reader in love can. I officially have an author crush on Taylor Michaels.

The list is pretty endless with what I loved about this book. The girl...Cora is running from her past when she

Illicit Desires is the first book in the Illicit Love series by Taylor Michaels, which is the pen name for Nazarea Andrews. I have been a fan of Nazarea's since I read This Love, and I have read everything I could get my hands on of hers since. When I heard that she was writing adult stories under a new pen name, I couldn't wait to see what she would come up with under the name Taylor Michaels. She absolutely did not disappoint, and I loved

Reviewed on my blog, Becky on Books.

Illicit Desires is a short read with a great deal of steam. It's also the first book in the series, and ends with a definite cliffhanger...if you're the type of person who doesn't like to wait, the next installment doesn't come out until 2015--just a friendly warning. ;)

Both Raphael and Cora have some pretty heavy-duty baggage, relationship and otherwise. We spend much of this novel figuring out some key things about their backgrounds, things that might bring

Illicit Desire by Taylor Michaels is the best Mafia romance I have read! This is the 1st in a series and does have a cliffhanger but is very worth it!

OMG, let me tell you I have finished reading this book in 2 hours, yes 2 hours. I could not put it down. The pages could not be read/turned quickly enough. You have to read it.

When ever we read books that feature cartel etc its usually got storylines that you would expect to read, guns, violence. I don't think I have read any that read like this one. Right the way through you are kept guessing as to what Cora Milan is running from and why her brother is running with her. Raphael Ortiz is head

This is a fast paced book full of sexy times and action. When Raphael first sees Cora on the steps of his building, he cant take his eyes of her and then she gets mugged and he takes matters into his own hands. It is known that he is the leader of a cartel but Cora doesnt know that in the beginning so she decides to give him a chance since she is attracted to him. From there there will be problems on their way, blasts from the past or

Dangerously hot...

What are the odds of finding another story with my name in it so quickly?!? And top top it off, the character is a bitch? Intiguing...

The danger is alluring.
His stare is filled with heat.
His touch sends her body on fire.
She is on the run, but has she finally found a place she can be safe?...

The beginning felt really off for me. I was totally lost with what was happening because it started too quick for me to catch on. It took me a while before I finally was able to get into the

Illicit Desire by Taylor Michaels is the first book in her Illicit Love series. It focuses on Cora, a women with a damaging past who is essentially in hiding with her step-brother Paul, and also on Raphael, the head of the cartel in Miami who is instantly drawn to Cora when he first set eyes on her outside his office building.

A mugging brings them into each others lives and it's Raphael's persistence that keeps them in each others orbit.

A really intriguing story that deals with Cora's tragic

I'm just going to get this out of the way first...
I LOVED this book!

Cora gets mugged and Rafael comes to her rescue. He had already spotted her on the sidewalk while heading to his car and was intrigued by her. Then he promises to find her purse that was taken and makes sure she gets home safely. That's how it begins...the freight train named Raphael. He barrels right into her life offering Cora a job and taking her to bed. She tells him reluctantly about why she may have to leave - the monster

Illicit Desire was an enjoyable trip to Miami for the beginning of Cora and Raphael’s story. Hot weather, hot beaches…perfect setting for a quick, sexy read. Immediate action and instant attraction had me jumping right into the story. I loved that we get the Raphael’s POV, I was wanting to know more about him the more I read. I’m looking forward to reading what happens next with Cora and Raphael.

The chemistry between Raphael and Cora is incredible. The plot has everything and anything to suck you in and leave you wanting more .. one hot, alpha cartel king pin, damaged, yet independent and strong female lead, over protective step-brother, and a past neither want to discuss and scorned past lovers. I can not wait for the next release in this series
