Two years.

It’s been two long years since Ava packed everything and left the life she once knew far behind her seeking a new adventure. All, except for her broken heart.

Once upon a time Ava and Ethan were in love. Their relationship was perfect, and they both planned a future together, filled with promise and hope. It wasn’t until an unwelcomed event storms into their lives, tearing their plans and dreams away; leaving Ethan broken and Ava unable to recover.

Two years later, fate crosses their paths once again but the shadow of their haunted past lingers. Ava has slowly rebuilt her life, finally finding some normalcy in it. On the other hand, Ethan has sorted to releasing his guilt and remorse in questionable ways, but his thoughts never strayed from the memories of Ava.

Will they get a second chance to rewrite their story, or will the pain and rejection be too much for Ava to bear and furthermore forgive?

What a disgusting guy this "hero" turned out to be. His girlfriend the "love of his life" had cancer and he just walked away without telling her because HE couldn't cope! WTF?!! He screws around for over 2 years becoming a whore but apparently that was the only way he could cope after losing heroine. Seriously I am just so gobsmacked at this guy because once he meets heroine again he goes off and has sex with his regular whore. I loathed this guy he was a coward and a poor excuse for a man and I felt the author tried to redeem him through his inner monologue but you know what? He could NOT be redeemed in anyway especially after he went and shagged another girl. As for the heroine I felt for her, having cancer and being so scared and to top it off having that shithead disappear without a word must have been the ultimate low but I still can't get over how she took him back with barely any fight because he deserved to burn in hell and she should have ended up with a decent guy instead of waiting around and loving this scum!!

Cheating hero, doormat with cancer.

A hero that ditches his girlfriend when she has cancer is not a hero, and she's the idiot that beats cancer to take him back. And who said romance is dead.

Just when I think that the most horrible hero and his story has been written, some writer comes up with an even more disgusting idea that they call "romance"!!!

So how about reading a masterpiece in which the hero leaves "the love of his life!" when she had cancer because he couldn't cope with it and then f*cks his way around for 2 years and when she survives cancer, he comes back and the idiot takes him back?

Wanna read this "awesome" love story?
Anyone who wants to buddy-read it with me :))??

The hero breaks up with the heroine because she has cancer. He fucks other women all throughout the separation while she's fighting cancer. She ends up beating it only to take the sorry son of a bitch back.

Who writes this garbage?

WTDH DNF 40%

Once again, I fell victim to overrated reviews from goodreads.

The underdeveloped characters pissed me off to no ends. If you've read one or two of my other reviews, you know how much I hate DNFing, I consider it as an insult to the author.

But this book kept on insulting me, first of all, I can't comprehend how the heroine can stand the hero, immature and an ass, I hated how un-hostile (if that's a word) she was to him, when she returned.

I'm very disappointed because, I took a break from reading and this is what I read when I got back. Maybe after a month or two, I'll try to re read this. But for now.

Adios madapaker!

What I did not like about this book:

Ethan
Ethan
Ethan

This guy is a piece of work.He abandons his dying girlfriend aka the love of his life on her deathbed. He just could not bear being around her because she was no longer so hot looking. She was pale, shorn hair, sunken eyes, riddled with cancer.Who needs to be around such a diseased being. So he dumps her without even telling her he is doing so.

His excuse was that he was too young for such a burden but hey at 22 he is certainly old enough to go barhopping where he screws a multitude of 'whores' non stop over a two & a half year period.I saw no positive growth or reflection in their time apart aside from him being a humongous man whore and before anyone is offended every women in Chicago is called a whore aside from Ava,her best friend who has somehow managed to escape being screwed by the Ethan & of course his mother for obvious reasons.

Apparently all 600 adult woman who have had sex with Ethan have to now forever wear the slut label.Ava is the only true virgin of the tale while her ex has never stopped long enough to zip up.On finally having contact with 'the love of his life'he once again runs off in a tirade to the slot machine aka Kasey.

“You look happy,” Kasey says as she opens the door. I’m not in the mood to deal with her bullshit tonight. “Shut up and take off your clothes. I’m not here to talk about my emotions,” I say and unzip my pants letting them pool at my ankles. Maybe I should feel guilty for running off to fuck someone, but it’s the only thing I have found in the past two years that has helped diminish the memory of Ava for a little while. It may only be a temporary fix, but every drug is.

As long as I got what I came for I’m happy. Once my breathing has slowed and I have caught my breath, I pull out of her and go to the bathroom to clean up and discard the condom. “Gotta go, bye,” I say walking towards the door.

“Must’ve been something big for you to just call me like that. Usually you’re at the bar sorting through the litter of girls you can seduce,” she says smugly because it was her I called instead of some random girl. I know she thinks there could be something between us but she is so far from the truth it’s disgusting. She’s right, though. I never sleep with the same girl twice. Kasey is my “incase of emergency” fuck. I’m not proud of it, but like I said, it’s my escape for a little bit.

Ethan:You’ll never know the torture I've put myself through for the shit I did. I’ll never forgive myself for walking out on you.Look, I know you've heard all about how I've fucked around. I’m not going to lie to you. I never would. But there is a reason why I did. If I couldn't be with you, I didn't deserve to be happy. It was an escape from what I did, from losing you. I have no right to defend it, but that doesn't mean that it changed what I feel about you. Was I an asshole? Yes.But I was so numb that I didn't feel anything. It was better to fuck and use women than spend my days thinking about you. Hating myself for what I did.”

I personally never did understand how painful & disgusting it is to torture oneself with a different woman every night.

Yes women are Ethan's drug of choice. How he must have endured terrible suffering & remorse while dropping his Armani pants to screw these women while the love of his life languishes in Europe. He was having so much fun after woman number 101 that he did not even stop to think about going to find her.She returns on her own & than miraculously he is in the grip of love once again

Now women all over this town are dying for a piece of this charming man.He never wines & dines them,he is a one wonder yet they are prepared to go to war for his favor even going as far as harassing the 'love of his life

“Well, if it isn't Ethan. How are you?” Kasey gives me a devious smile. “Fuck off, Kasey. I don’t know what you’re thinking, but if you continue this charade to piss off Ava, you and I are going to have problems. You know you don’t want problems with me.'Well according to Ava & Ethan & their group of friends you don’t want problems with me. Stop running your mouth, or it’ll be the last thing you speak.” This only seven days after screwing her.

So in the end whose love is greater Ava for not sleeping around because she could not forget Ethan or Ethan's for screwing everything that moves to forget her.

Love or hate the guy & as unbelievable as the plot line is,it is still an enjoyable slice of high drama.

Oh how to review... the writing was very good, I liked the storyline and completely HATED the hero and in the end the heroine.

Ethan was a horrid person, completely callous, selfish, whoreish immature asshat... now on to what I hated about him...oh... if you thought that was his bad points..honey those were his good ones.

Ava who has been his friend most his life...the "love of his life" he betrays her while she is fighting cancer, he sleeps with a whore after just walking away from her as he could not handle watching her die.... yes you see Ethan is the true sufferer here... poor ethan having to watch her die while screwing anything that will bend over and let him...lets all feel bad for Ethan.

Ava I felt for, she was strong (at least against cancer), but between her own family and bff they did everything to make her forgive this douche. Not one person ever stood with her in letting her figure things out, it was all but he loved you..bs ... the whores he banged she runs into one right after another..just ignore it... he bagged the biggest hoe upon his first seeing her upon his return and then acts like he is a better person... well son it would be hard to be worse than you were but bagging Kacey AGAIN .. you managed to out douche yourself.

He wins...she loses and despite the multiple epilogues as if the writer knows some people will feel like me that at the first reoccurance this man will be bent over the first whore he finds.

Loathed Ethan from the first page on, he never redeemed as his behavior was unforgiveable. His excuses were just that excuses. Ava was in the end weak in allowing them to bully, shame forgive her into taking him back so she can be "cured".

BP off the charts... Ethan is now in my top 3 of most loathsome excuses for a hero in all the books I ever read.

Horrible hero. Weak h. One of worse heroes ever written, dafuq was that?

He left her when she had cancer... ok fine BUT she ALSO hardly made him fight!!!!! And another pet peeve? When the supporting characters try to make an h get back with a horrible H.

I also never felt his pain from losing her .. at all.

Also, it makes me wonder. If something happens again that's bad, would he stick around? The fact I didn't think he would by the end of the story, and that he'd run off and screw many OW, meant that the author failed in creating a love story for me.

I love second chance novel... but sometimes there shouldn't be a second chance. He abandoned her when she had cancer. Are you kidding me. Who comes back from that? How do you spend the rest of your life with someone you know WILL NOT BE THERE. I got so sick and tired about hearing how TRUE their love is, how REAL. I hate to point out that Real love isn't roses . It's holding her hair back as she's puking from the chemo. It's telling her she's beautiful when all her hair falls out and her skin is sickly gray. He "loved" her when she was shiny and left her when she lost that shine. He made HER illness about him and had the audacity to stalk her into taking him back. Again NOT LOVE!! I don't think I have ever hated a hero more. Ava fought for herself . She survived by herself. She won by herself and she deserved more that a "hero" who turned his back on her, slept with the world, and only returned when she was shiny again. I wish I could take stars from this book SMDH!!!

I had the lucky pleasure of reading an ARC of Restoring Us...and I adored it.

A sweet and painful, highly emotional read, Restoring Us is not the hand-gripping, angst-filled type story that I normally gravitate toward. Yet, I'm thrilled I read it. And I read IT fast. Francisco kept me riveted with her witty dialogue, picturesque parties and delicious descriptions.

Of course this story includes pain and suffering (the h has/had cancer), but in the end survival prevails. Not just survival from an awful disease but the heart...and mistakes we make because of that foolish organ.

The main characters, Ava and Ethan, are young twenty-somethings and even as an adult, I related to their feelings, questions and misgivings.
We feel them through good, bad and the worst of times, and become woven into their love affair and lives.

This may be what I love most about the book -- Francisco's ability to transport the reader to so many places and levels––high society parties, greasy spoon diners, Europe, and the bedroom are just a few.

I try not to include spoilers, BUT the PARTY scene is the best ever and I've not had as much fun reading a scene in a long time! GO '80's!!!

All in all, a 5 star read perfect for a cold winter's night, lying on the beach somewhere or just the wee hours of the night.
Cannot wait for Aiden's novella -- he is the bad boy brother -- BRING him on! <3

Who doesn’t love a good second chance at love. I know this is the second time in the past couple of weeks that you’ve read I cried reading a book but it doesn’t happen that often but it did in the two days I read this book and into another the next day. Fabiola grabbed me from page one. She gutted me with what the main character went through and how the break up happened. Her writing has changed so much from Perfectly Imperfect to this one. It was refreshing. The voices never changed and the descriptions were amazing. I am looking forward to the novella that’s following this!

Ava is a strong woman that has come through the other side of when life throws crap her way. After a long trip in Europe she finds herself facing her past and her ex.

Ethan is Ava’s ex that has treated himself to self-questionable pleasures after feeling remorse of his last relationship.

These two were in love than life happens. Will they find love again or will their past haunt them? Read it to find out!

**5 Heart Melting Stars**

Wow let me just say I was stunned that I was grabbed so quickly in this book. I enjoyed it from start to finish. There was a few times I wanted to jump in the book and slap Ava and give run to Ethan and give him a big bear hug. But then at time I kept saying Why? Why did you do that?

The journey we get to share with these two is unlike anything. Being apart they have been through so much and as a couple they stand so much stronger. True love is a blessing and you need to hold on to it and never give up. Ethan never gives up. But will it be enough to win back Ava's heart? You gotta dive in like I did and find out.

I was able to feel each word the author wrote, she drives you in and holds you to each page. There's even a surprise at the end of the book! ;)

~~~~~
“It’s been a crazy ride, but I’d never give myself completely to anyone but you. You’re my everything, Ava.”
~~~~~
“You’re the only one that I want, that I’ve ever wanted. I just didn’t know how to deal.”

When I read something like this, I inevitably think: My God, women for so many years have been repressed from expressing their desires and opinions. Still in many countries they are! And when women finally make space to publishing their ideas, what SOMEONE of them do ???? They write this kind of shit !!! This is repulsive and disrespectful to people who experience this kind of reality and still reflects distorted and absurd values. Please just stop. Stop embarrassing our gender with this garbage, it's disgusting.

I was truly excited to be able to read this story. And it didn't disappoint!

This is a wonderful story about forgiveness, the ability to love beyond the hurt and about two people finding their way to each other.

Ava has won the battle against cancer, but lost the love of her life on the way. Devastated, she goes and travels throughout Europe, hoping to loose the shadow that's still haunting her. Now, going back to Chicago, to her own life she hopes that her time away has done enough to heal her broken heart. But life isn't always easy, and most certainly not always giving you what you want. Thrown into a world where Ethan is still a main part, Ava tries to navigate her way into this new life she wants to build in Chicago. But Ethan, no matter the person he used to be, doesn't even think of leaving Ava alone. He has messed up one too many times and will do everything in his power to proof to her just how wrong he was to walk out on her like this.

This story is beautiful to watch. Watching Ava is amazing, simply because of her fight, of her willingness to move on and wanting to live her life the way she wants to. After having survived, getting her life on track is her number one priority. And she doesn't let anyone get her off track. Not even Ethan, who is clearly trying everything to get her to believe him that he changed. She's a strong heroine that I truly admire for what she's been through and what she accomplished on her way to being the person she is in the end. Because while we may never forget, forgiveness is a gift we should always be willing to show to people who deserve it.

Of course I wasn't the biggest fan of Ethan when this story started. I mean, come on, he walked out on her when she was dying of cancer, who does that. But then, the more you think about it, the more you wonder what would you do in a situation like that. Would we be strong enough to stay and watch the person we love die? I don't believe it's as easy as we make it out to be. And yet, still doesn't make me like Ethan because I like to believe that I would stay with the person I deem my soulmate (just imagining that happening is giving me goosebumps). The redeeming thing about Ethan though is that he's fully aware of what he's done and knows that it will take a lot of convincing to make Ava see that he's sorry and that he's changed. His attitude while she was gone clearly isn't helping his case, but at least he's trying. While it might seem a little stalkerish of him to want to be close to her all the time as she's back, in the end he's just fighting for the one he loves.

Once Ava and Ethan reconnect, you see them working through their issues, slowly but steadily getting that trust back together. They have some beautiful moments together that will show you just what it means to have that one person in your life that you would do anything for. And that, no matter how much that person hurt you at some point, is always worth forgiving.

On a side note, I looooooooved the secondary characters. Dan, Katie, Aiden, Jess, all of them made this story a funny story as well, because they bring humor, laughs and the breath from the heartfelt topic in this story, which is much needed.

As this story is told in dual POV as well as in the present and with flashbacks, you really get the whole picture of this story. It's not a heartbreaking story only. In the end, the story itself was light, if you look at what Ava has to go through. Yes, we see the flashbacks with the times when Ava was sick and how everything slowly went downhill, but the main part of the story focuses on the two of them reconnecting, which is why the story isn't as depressing as you might think with a history like that. And I LIKED that. I told Fabiola it made this story so much more enjoyable, simply because the focus isn't on Ava having been sick. Yes, it's ONE topic, but the story does focus on how those two find their way back to each other, and that is a true pleasure to watch.

So if you have a chance, make sure to grab your copy once it goes on sale. It's been a true joy to have been part of Ava's and Ethan's story. And now I CANNOT wait for Aiden!!!!! Bring it on!!!!

Always,
Yvi

Review of Restoring Us by Fabiola Francisco

Review done for Hooked on Books

4 ½ out of 5 stars

I am not sure how much pain and suffering a person can take until they are totally broken but I truly believe that Ava was close to that point.

Being so young and having your life completely blown apart is heartbreaking. This poor young woman has been to hell and back. She is beautiful, caring, and unbelievably strong.

After Ava is diagnosed with cancer, her true love, Ethan, up and leaves her when she is going through her treatments. Ava is destroyed but some how manages to beat the cancer. She has a tough road ahead of her.

After spending 2 years in Europe, she decides it is time to come home and face her past. She just wants to move forward but she still loves Ethan.

Ethan is drowning in guilt over leaving the love of his life behind at the toughest time of her life. He was young and scared back then. When he sees Ava again, he knows that she is still his soul mate and will do whatever he has to do to win her back.

This was a beautiful, heartwarming love story. It is a story about a complete second chance at life. It was quite an emotional read. I loved Ava and was so happy that she is a survivor and that she is starting to follow her dreams.

I loved Ethan as well, but I had a really hard time believing he should be given a second chance. I mean who leaves the person you love the most when they are maybe dying without so much as a goodbye or explanation.

I do think he redeemed himself somewhat, and they were truly wonderful together when they put their past behind them.

I love this simply written love story. It doesn’t have to be complicated to be a wonderful story.

I definitely recommend this book to read.

Okay so where do I start with this book.. oh yes the author! her name is Fabiola Francisco, I had the pleasure of meeting her through a friend at an awesome book party! she is really down to earth and awesome to talk to! follow her on twitter and add her on facebook!

The story of Restoring us will break your heart at the beginning of the book just in the prologue.. you will meet the beautiful Ava and Ethan (the douche) as I liked to call him back them, not to give much about the book, but its a story that will make you go from crying, to laughing, to loving in a matter of 5 seconds... the characters are well written and you feel their emotions just as you read about them.. wait until you meet Kate and Dan the man! they will have you a fit of laughter just as soon as they pop up.. there's even girls to hate like Kasey and parents to love for sure! even the songs that they use throughout the book are amazing. As the story progresses you will get to know the beloved couple and how their love story changed in a matter of seconds.. sure there is heartache, betrayal and sadness, but when you meet the right person no matter what happens love conquers all.. and that's what this book did! I can't wait to read more books of this author!

I encourage everyone to read this book! you won't regret it!

An ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book I've read by author Fabiola Francisco, and I really enjoyed it. Restoring Us is the story of Ethan and Ava. They used to a couple years before, but when life got tough they're relationship didn't make it. Fast forward two years and they meet again. Ava is learning to live her life again but Ethan is still swarming in guilt for leaving Ava when she needed him the most.

Do second chances really exist? Fabiola takes us on the journey as Ethan and Ava get reacquainted again and discover the love they once shared. There will be heartbreak, forgiveness, honesty, laughter, and above all the love that Ethan and Ava share. Restoring Us is a beautiful second chance romance.

Five Wonderful Heart Warming Stars!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book, and it grabbed me from page one! I have to say that I went through a range of emotions with the prologue told from dual POV's!

With Ava I was like WHAT IS HAPPENING!!??

description

With Ethan I was like NO!!! NO Freaking Way this just happened!!

description

Me after reading the prologue...

description

Then... I started to devour this story...

Restoring Us is a poetic story about recapturing and restoring an amazing once in a lifetime love - the kind of love that connects two people on such a deeper level {dare I say Soul Mates} ... Ava and Ethan's story is truly one of... forgiving and second chances... growing and moving forward.

And Ava was all...

description

And Ethan was all...

description

Francisco's writing is descriptive and flows beautifully with vivid lush details of places, from an out of the way diner in Downtown Chicago to the posh decadence of a hotel suite and an adorable cafe in the City of Lights, Paris. My personal favorite is the captivating fashion... all of these detailed touches allow you to completely visualize the story through the character's eyes.

And you root for Ethan... I mean you literally root for Ethan...

description

Bottom line, you need to read this asap.

I loved this story. First 2 chapters made me cry and cursing Ethan. I wasn’t his biggest fan. I even thought that Ava should fall in love with someone new, someone who won’t walk away whenever hardship is thrown their way. But when the story progressed I fell in love with him. I understood his reasoning and to be honest I started wondering if I would not react the same, if something like that happened to me when I was young, stupid and whole life was ahead of me. Of course leaving Ava was his biggest mistake and regret, but he feels it. And is trying his hardest to make up everything to her.

Ava is such a sweetheart. She is kind and is not your typical rich daddy’s daughter. She works hard to fulfil her dreams. One of her dreams was to be forever and ever with Ethan. Her best friend, her lover and her soul mate. Until she was diagnosed with cancer and all her world collapsed. Her dreams were shattered, when the one who made her fight to stay alive, left her. Even though she won the battle with cancer, she has lost him. We meet her in present time when she returns from her 2 years adventure in Europe, where she was sightseeing and gathering knowledge about European Culture. She thinks she was able to move on and forget Ethan, but only one word from him, simple “Hi” made her shiver and caused all feelings, memories and emotions to come back.

The story is beautiful way of showing about second chances and how hard it is on those, who are sick and also the ones that are around people who are slowly dying.

I loved how Fabiola showed Ethan persistence to prove Ava that he has changed and he is no longer that stupid, 21 year old boy, who was afraid. And she beautifully shows the power of forgiveness.

On the other hand, not only main characters are amazingly build. But side characters, Katie, Dan, Jess and Aiden are well developed and strong characters in the story and without them, it would be just another ugly cry book. But thanks to them you have also times when you can’t stop laughing.

Beautiful story and it well deserves 5 stars in my opinion.

I’ve been reading many second chance romance books lately and they are truly my favorite. I believe that everyone deserves a second chance. Restoring Us is a second chance romance that hooked me from the start.

I loved the entire cast of characters in this book. Ethan and Ava are a special couple. Their chemistry sizzles.

The supporting characters are funny and complete this story with their playful banter and loving personalities. Katie, Dan, Jessie and Aiden are lovable in their own ways.

Restoring Us is a different second chance romance though. Ava and Ethan have been apart for over two years. During those two years, these characters have had a chance to grow up, mature and internalize their lives as well as the choices they have made.

Ava has returned and Ethan wants her back.

Ava is a strong young woman. Her strength is the result of her illness and it is her most admirable trait. She is loving and forgiving making her a well rounded and ideal leading character.

Ethan, I loved him right from the start. He is your typical guy. His mistakes, questionable, but his love for Ava is unwavering and infinite. He wants her back and wont let anyone of anything stop him.

I had made my own predictions about this couple and I was happy to be wrong. This story does have a happy ending and I was thrilled to read it.

Fabiola took me on the journey along with Ava and Ethan. I enjoyed all of the ups and downs along the way. Her story had the perfect pace making this not only a great romance story but a fun read too. Fun? Yes! The 80’s themed party was fun and one of my favorite parts of the book.

This story was heartwarming, had love, steamy sex, and a perfect couple.

I gave this book 4 1/2 stars.

I am looking forward to reading book 2, Aiden’s story.

Add this book to your summer beach reads list. It is a winner!

Oh, I can’t forget, thanks for the drink recipe in the end. I’m going to have to make it soon. Ha! I should plan an 80’s themed party too.

Fabiola Francisco’s Restoring Us is a story about second chances and happy endings. The readers follows the story of Ethan and Ava whose parents are friends as are Ethan and Ava, who eventually become a couple in as young adults. Tragedy strikes when Ava is diagnosed with cervical cancer. Ethan loves Ava with all his heart but to protect himself from possibly losing her, he breaks up with her during her cancer treatment. Ava eventually receives a clean bill of health, taking off to travel Europe for two years to help heal her broken heart. Eventually Ava returns home and starts her life. One thing she is dreading dealing with the one person she would have never expected to have abandon her-Ethan.
Ethan has never stop loving Ava. He feels terrible for what he did to her but was just a kid who didn’t know how to deal with such an intense situation at the time. He has heard that Ava is returning home but it doesn’t hit him until he actually catches his first glimpse unbeknownst to her; he decides then and there that he had to have Ava back and will do anything to make it happen.
Restoring Us is a good, ole feel-good contemporary romance. The story was fast-paced and interesting. Ava made Ethan work his way back into her life; it was an enjoyable read following their journey. Francisco’s characters are dynamic and witty. Her supporting characters are funny and charismatic. Restoring US has a HEA. Restoring Us finishes up with what I assume will be book 2 of the series with Aiden and Stacy’s story.

Restoring Us

WOW!! Second chances. Who deserves one in your life? Ethan fights for a second chance with Ava. He broke her heart in the worst way, I was devastated reading the first few chapters of this story. I couldn't understand how someone could love someone so much but yet still walk away. He literally needed to un-break her heart. I felt her pain, everything she had to deal with and not have the one person in the world who she loves the most. Ethan and Ava have known each other since they were children, they were best friends, two souls joining as one. This is a beautiful story showing us true love never dies no matter what you do to forget, move miles away, sleep around, nothing works. when you love someone so deep you can not escape it. You will meet some great characters in this story, I am very excited to read more about these characters, especially Aiden that's Ava's brother, he likes woman on a big scale. I would love Katie that is Ava's best friend to have a happy ever after but it will take some fantastic man to tame Katie. If I could give more stars I would, I loved this story, thank you Fabiola Francisco for another wonderful read.

I've never met a more disgusting male lead. What a complete a$$hole. Words can not describe how little I like him. Almost didn't continue after first book but will try...

I normally will not mark a book on characters alone. If I don't like the characters, that is just a part of 5 different areas I rate. Unfortunately for the first time ever, I have to change this. I am giving this one star only and purely on my intense dislike and hate of the Male lead. I was so disgusted by this male character and his actions, and then by his lack of real remorse or sincerity or maturity or growth as a character that I just had to stop reading.

He did not deserve her back. If he eventually proved that he could be relied upon when times got tough, I never got to that point. His immaturity of thought and continual ass hat thoughts just made me angrier. His action of F-ing the other woman after the dinner party where she rejected him says it all.

Couldnt finish the book.

Ethan and Ava's story is one of all consuming love. They were meant to be together..it was destined.

But when that love gets tested...it wasn't enough for one...or was it?

This novel had me feeling EVERY emotion...anger...disappointment...sadness...heartache but also joy...love...peace.

I loved how this is also a story about redeeming one's self. Human's make mistakes...it is how we make up for them that is what defines us.

The characters were fantastic. Ava is a fighter and a survivor. She is strong and no pushover. That is what I loved about her.

Ethan is simply ALL MALE! Hot, sexy and romantic. Swoon!

This book made me laugh, smile and cry. That shows the talent of a great writer. And Fabiola Francisco is certainly that!

I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone looking for a story about love, redemption and second chances.
