Human Behavior: A Perspective for the Helping Professions

Rate this book
This third edition has been updated and expanded to reflect new directions in the field of social work. Much of the case material contained has been revised to highlight the problems facing social workers and professional helpers in the 1990s. The main aim of the book is to show students that by understanding human behaviour in a social context this will help them in their day-to-day dealings on a professional level. The new case material broadens the applications of the book's content and illustrative materials are presented throughout to stimulate discussion about the complex nature of human behaviour. In addition, the study questions at the end of each chapter have been revised to provide additional challenges to the student.
