Not especially my cup of tea. I was frustrated with the characters: their back and forth, the insta-ness, and to some degree the way they interacted in general. I was interested enough to read the end. And I will probably pick up book two just to see how it all plays out though. So there’s that.

I voluntarily read an ARC of this book.

Debut? This is a debut? Seriously? Celeste's writing is so stunningly beautiful and intricate it's impossible to wrap my head around the fact that this is her FIRST book. And while I'm on the subject of first books...she better hurry her cute little butt up and give us the second because OMG did she leave me hanging.

Without leaving spoilers, all I can say is this book has it all and then some. Eva and Blake will creep into your hearts and by the end of LIVE ME you will feel as if you know them,

This is the authors debut book and wow oh wow it is fantastic. The writing is outstanding and the connection between the characters unbelievable, it's a dark romance and I just can't write this fast enough as I'm so excited to share with everyone, how good it is. I stumbled upon the book when some one recommended it on Goodreads and I'm so glad I read it. You will too.

Live Me by Celeste Grande was just the book I needed. Funny thing is, like the best loves, I didn't know until I found it.

Evangelina Ricci leaves her hometown and attempts to escape her dark past by leaving for college with her bff Jace. There, she finds Blake; kind, sweet and gorgeous Blake. Who is determined to make he

”To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” ~Audrey Hepburn

Here I sit with tears still stinging my eyes from a story that sank its soul into my soul from the very first page and never stopped. LIVE ME is a HEART-WRENCHING, SOUL-SHATTERING story of survival and a second-chance at love and life. This touching tale reached in and grabbed my heart, holding it tightly, and stealing a part of my heart I may never get back. I’m still breathless, broken, and bleeding from this book. This book BRO

Why isn't this author more popular??????? And this is her debut novel??????? Woman you are in CoHo league!!!!!!!

This book bled me alive. It just left me raw. I can't describe this feeling in words. This book was one of the most amazing things I've read this year. I really don't know how to explain this. I just feel as if I've been flayed alive or something (Gross, I know but I'm
"In the short time I'd known him, he had burrowed his way into my heart and shattered all my make-shift walls."

Live Me is the heart-breaking tale of Evangalina, a young woman who flees home for college hoping to escape the nightmare she's been living.

This poor girl is so weighed down with trouble, but she's not willing, or able, to let anyone in, thinking she can get through it all on her own. Thinking she doesn't deserve good in her life because of what has happened to her. This was so very fr

This most definitely does not read like a debut. Celeste Grande paints a vivid and heartbreaking picture of a girl who has lost herself and the beautiful man who tries to find her like a veteran author. I was sucked in to Blake and Eva's story and fell hard for them both. Live Me is a beautifully written story that I'm dying to see continue in Breathe You.

I really tried to have patience with this book and these characters, trying to not roll my eyes very often or too hard, trying to understand their personalities and actions, but I'm DONE! I've read until 23% and I'm sure that is going to be worse. Or maybe not, but honestly I won't waste any other second with this one and let me explain why.

I understand abuse and I try to sympathize with the characters that had a rough life, but Eva is a completely whinny, moppy, cocky girl who acts like she's t

DNF at 11%. I'm sorry, but the writing in this book is just cringe worthy. I couldn't stand it anymore and had to stop reading. The author has stereotyped the characters and it's just annoying. For example, there is a gay male character who is characterized as being very feminine. Just because a man is gay doesn't mean they're feminine. The main female character and her friends speak as if they are characters straight out of the movie Mean Girls, while the main male character is masculine and co ...more

To be honest I did not finish this book. This book was just okay for me. It deals with a very real and very intense subject. There is a certain darkness and some healing that is inspiring. I loved the love interest, Blake in this book. He’s sweet, caring, and would do anything for Evangelina .

I don’t care for Evangelina’s character very much. I certainly understand that she’s had a lot of crap delivered to her, but she seriously does nothing b

I was provided an early copy of Live Me: A Pieces of Broken Novel in exchange for an honest review. Even though this is not a HEA, I will say that I honestly loved reading it. The story begins with Evangelina Ricci looking back at the reasons why she needed a fresh new start in a new place. She applies to a college that is not too far from home, but enough to get away from the past that has plagued her for years. With her best friend, Jace, she thinks that she has the perfect escape. Little does ...more

The writing needs a lot of work. Very amateurish. I did not connect with the characters. The verbiage felt forced/scripted. Great premise, poor execution. So many things in this book are unrealistic. Yes, I know that some things in stories we are just supposed to "accept" as fiction. However, the heroine taking her BFFs entrance exam and writing his essay to get into Columbia?!?!?

A lot of ARCs out there with 4-5 star reviews.

I had to stop reading this book because it was just too much. The instalove started in the first chapter and it was just so sickening and gross; I was actually cringing at some of the dialogue - especially the fact that the male protag decides that Evangelina's nickname should be 'Angel' and at one point tells her that it looks like she has a halo... I think that was when I finally closed the book and decid

Live Me by Author Celeste Grande is an NA novel and book one in the Pieces of Broken series. It is not a standalone.

“I was one big mirage—a house of mirrors. I could keep you running in circles, seeing a million different faces of myself, but none of them were the real, flesh and blood, true-to-life me.”

Eva’s past has left her crippled and emotionally unavailable. Attempting to start new and leave a damaged past, she moves away to college where she meets the man she never dreamed she could have

A phenomenal story about one girls’ resolve to keep the world at bay with her three best friends help until she meets the one man who turns her world around and upside down. With such strength and desire, Celeste Grande has brought us a new coveted BBF to the table, and his name is Blake. I like to say Persistent Blake. Get ready, he’s sure to make you swoon and sweat!

If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would. I'm still floored by the fact that this is her debut! It reads like this is her 100th book. I honestly don't even know where or how to being my review. When I finish a book, I immediately start another one. I'm officially in hangover mode because of this book and that says a lot. There have only been a handful of books that have done this to me. If a book causes a hangover, then it's a damn good book, in my opinion. When you read, you want to be t ...more

This was a debut novel? Really? Well then I am a fan for sure cause if you only get better the more you write this author is set to be huge and I want to say I knew her when!

While I will admit for me this started slow, it was well worth sticking it out. The story was captivating the characters defined and built in a way you like, love or hate them as the author means.

I have such mixed feelings about this book. On one hand I understand the main characters desire to keep her secret but on the other hand I feel like she's kind of making her life harder than it needs to be. blake's character is so incredibly supportive and her family is incredibly supportive and loving, she also has a solid group of friends around her who only want to be there for her yet she still keeps this terrible dark secret side. Her best friend Jace bugs me a little but too. This guys kno ...more

For a debut novel, Live Me is anything but. Flawless writing with a multitude of complex characters in a city that I have never been to; I felt like I was transported to another place. These characters all felt like old friends like I have known them a lifetime.

Evangeline Ricci is on a mission to get away from a haunting past. She uproots and drags her best friend Jace with her to college in NYC. Keeping most everyone at a distance and her head down, focusing on her studies, her world gets rock

First off, cliffhanger?! Really? I haven't encountered one in ages. Thanks for that, by the way.
Now, the number of times I swooned was literally interminable. The first date was so damn alluring! Blake was irresistibly charming. And Jace was such a sweetheart, I loved how close he was to Eva and how they had their own inside jokes and certain tendencies. Sandra's accident had such a great impact on the story; a turning point that was clear

This book was a difficult and heartbreaking read. The story was so beautifully written that you feel all the emotions that the characters feel. You actually feel as if you are a part of the story.

Eva is a broken girl trying to figure out life, how to live each day and how to feel normal when she felt the complete opposite. Blake is living a lie with doing what his father wants him to do, however when he saw Eva his life changed...every
