What happens when fairytales get the romantic suspense treatment? A cross–genre mash–up with enchanting results!Once Upon A Crime...Gabriel Martin was shot by his boss, and now he's unemployed and unhappy. Furthermore, he has to deal with a continuous parade of in–home carers who just can't seem to get his treatment right. Physiotherapist Bella Tompkins just wants to do her job in order to pay off her debts. A grumpy client is the least of her problems. Neither of them is aware that there's more going on than a rocky client–practitioner relationship. In the land of Fantasia, Esmerelda – Fairy Godmother Enforcer – and Rumpelstiltskin are working frantically to make sure that their beastly charge gets his fairytale ending. It should be a simple task, but nothing is ever as it seems on the Fairy Isle, where dark forces are rising, the consequences are dire, and Esmerelda has only an accident–prone fairy and an untrustworthy imp for help. With the stakes rising ever higher, can Gabe and Bella get it together to save both their happy ending and the world?

NOOOOOO! My OCD won't let me read this one.

DNF'd at 17%

This book needs an editor so very badly.

I can't read a bunch of spelling errors. I want to reach into my kindle and correct them. Don't get me wrong. A few of them I'll overlook. Especially on an arc copy...this many though. NO

Moisturizer...not moisturiser
For one. The rest is up to whoever takes on the job.

Okay so I didn't feel well when I wrote this review. ETA: that is not the only reason I did not like this book. So far into it. The main character was a PT and she had already gotten the hots for her patient...a couple of hours into the job. I just wasn't up to it. Plus there were more spelling errors that I did know were not just another countries spellings.

It appears that Shannon Curtis has answered my prayers and turned her much loved fairytale novella, Enamoured, into a Once Upon A Crime series!

Enraptured is the second book in Shannon Curtis’s fairytale mash-up Once Upon A Crime Series. Like it’s predecessor, Enamoured, it is a short and quirky novella that mixes up the fairytale and crime genre and honestly its just a lot of fun to read and, I imagine for Shannon, a lot of fun to write as well.

Once again Esmerelda and Rumplestiltskin are back working together trying to keep their current fairytale on track. But Rumplestilskin is hiding something from Esmerelda, and there are darker forces at play this time that might just cost them everything they are currently fighting for. What follows is a quirky and darker fairytale then the first novella, that will be sure to sweep you off your feet in next to no time. Not to mention leaving you reeling by the end of the book – I so wish it was longer!

Although technically not their story, Esmerelda and Rumplestilksin do kind of steal the limelight in this narrative. That’s not to say the fairytale characters and story that they are trying to protect isn’t strong or well written, it’s just these too are not only highly entertaining, but they have a past together that I just really want to find out more about. Throw in a couple of buckets of chemistry and sexual tension and you have this highly addictive, endearing and hilarious pairing of characters that you can’t help but love and hope that they too get their happy ending one day.

It’s hard to talk about the narrative here without giving away too many, spoilers. All I can say however is that its a fantastic follow up to Enamoured, and I really can’t recommend the series enough. What’s more, given the way this book ends (not really with a cliff hanger, but it leaves you wanting more), I believe there may just be a third novella on its way (I really, really hope there is). Please let there be more Shannon Curtis!

This is a fun sensual read as Gabe and Bella are helped along in their fairy tale by a couple of faries. Gabe needs a physiotheripist and a live in one after being shot and there is an instant attraction when Bella arrives to take over from the last couple of physios that have failed to help Gabe very much but as we find out there are reasons things haven't worked and there is evil around. This one will have you smiling as you fall into this great story.

I think this book wanted to cash in on the Once Upon series on ABC.
I have several issues with this book starting with the endless spelling errors. Those are hard to look past. One two or even 10 I can get past but this I couldn't get past.
Also the story where a character is in a profession where she is to be professional but instead throws ethics out the window and goes after her client. NOPE!
I really wanted to like this book but it just fell flat for me.

Enraptured is fits its description exactly; the cover drew me in at first and the story was a quick read and fun adult novella. A great departure from heavier more serious reads. Like all genres, there's a time, place and mood for a book like this :) An easy hand sell to those looking for a romance book with a bit more of a bite that'll take a short time to read.
