I Love the Alphabet is a fun and read aloud alphabet book to encourage children to predict the end rhyme. The alphabet is organized into words that begin with that letter from A-Z. I love that it is a rhyming, alliterative book about the alphabet. It has many great silly things about animals. This book also helps children to learn about their animals.
This book contains few words; however, I think some of the words may be hard for young children to read. I think that I would prefer to read this book to students instead for their pleasure time. I think it is a great way to read aloud to students for them to build their vocabulary.
I think adults and young children would enjoy the illustrations of these beautiful colorful collages. I think that I would make my students to look very close at the illustrations in order to not miss some witty details as for example the “bee bottoms” or the elephant page or the goat page. Since this book has great illustrations, I think it is great to encourage children to enjoy reading. Even if children may not know some of the words in the book, the pictures will capture their attention to want to flip through the pages.

This book is so awesome. I love the illustration and the color patterns. I actually read this book from students in my classrooms and the absolutely loved it fro, the beginning to the end. My student wanted to read it over and over again. It's actually to the point where I know the books by heart

I love the cut paper collage illustrations!
The text could have been better. Each page has one sentance in which to use the featured letter....I think that more effort went into giving the book rythmn and rhyme then went into creative/repetitive use of the letter. Some pages feature three, four, or more words begining with featured letters sound while other pages use the letter just once. Still a good book.

The rhymes and visual appeal make this a perfect choice for teaching little ones their ABCs. Occasionally the letters get a little lost in the collages, but children will love the search for the elusive letter among the images on the page.
