Fleeing to the Joker's jail to save her own life, Alice is forced to dig through the pain and confront her buried truths. But this is the Season of Lies, and the people who love her aren't afraid to break some rules. In this climatic finale to the Circus and Liar's Game series, Alice struggles to rebuild her crumbling world before it's too late. There's just one problem: after a peek into the Country of Diamonds, Alice learns the true cost of clinging to the past.
I feel like we learned just enough to get even more confused about Alice, Blood, and Vivaldi.
But that's okay. Being lost like Alice is half the appeal for this series. To collect all the threads is why I've been reading all of Alice in the Country of.
This one seems to be more complete than any of the other Alice in the Country of series. It has a more definite end, anyway, especially if you count the bonus chapter with the brief foray into the Country of Diamonds. Kind of nice to have that "complete" feeling for once. :)
The art, which I had really enjoyed in all the other books, seemed to be a little off in this volume. The resolution left me still somewhat confused as to what the significance of the seasons or the circus ultimately was (at the end, she almost seems to be saying final goodbyes to everyone--but why? Aren't all the seasons eventually going to come around again?) but the story in general is kind of chaotic, so maybe it's all part of the atmosphere.
This is, without a doubt, my favorite Alice in the Country of [Hearts/Clover/Joker/etc] series yet. While the original Country of Hearts was a great introduction to this mad world, but something really drew me in with the addition of Joker and the darker implications of Alice's past. It's given far more ideas and questions to my mind of why Alice is in "Wonderland," and was just an overall confusing yet enjoyable ride.
The characters were as likable (or despicable) as ever; my favorites are Nightmare, Boris, Julius, and Peter White, while I still hate Blood Dupre. Despite him being the canon love interest.... Again... -.-" But my appreciation for Queen Vivaldi and Elliot March have increased with this series, whereas Ace just became worse (sooooo much darker shit than even the first series coughed up!). Even smaller characters like Gowland, Pierce, Dee & Dum, and Gray have their fun moments. But the truly fascinating element was the Joker and their "prison" that Alice continually "wanders" into from time to time. Though it's not entirely explained, the concepts and themes kept me intrigued and eager for more.
(Overall review of the series/franchise on vol 1 of original Alice in the Country of Hearts, as of 02/06/21)
Ugh. Alice and Blood. It is difficult for words to convey how strongly I DON'T ship it. Blood is controlling and violent, and he frequently disrespects Alice's clearly-stated wishes as regards herself, her body, etc. He's a creep and I can't stand him.
This volume ends the Circus and Liar's Game series, but I find it confusing. I utterly don't understand a lot of characters' motivations and/or actions.
Finally the things that i was waiting for happend and i am so happy right now because the end was all i was hoping for in Alice in the country of Joker and again Blood and Alice looked so cute together and Boris i awesome like always. the drawings were magnificent and the story was making me feel what the characters feeled i loved it and it emotional, hilarious and so romatic just an awesome mange serie and i really recommend it. Loved it!!!
Ah, it was a good ending but I wasn't fully satisfied. I was expecting to see more from Joker and the Circus - plus, the whole mystery that built up throughout the series fell a little flat at the end. Tad bit disappointed. Still entertaining and a good mood booster! I much prefer the original Country of Hearts storyline though.
Hatter saves Alice from the executioner. Blood confesses his love to Alice and she does the same. Vivaldi shows up after the two confess with a gun and the truth of the execution comes out. Alice thanks Peter for bringing her to this world. Alice moves into Hatter's place and Elliot tells Alice he'll make her and Blood a wedding cake when they get married.

Sigh... I finally finished this series. It's so good but so confusing. Even when this is the volume where most of the questions are answered.
This story ends on page 152. The rest of the volume contains a teaser chapter for the fourth installment of Alice in the Country of Hearts called Alice in the Country of Diamonds.
Note: Alice in the Country of Joker is the third installment of the Alice in the Country of Hearts series; all of which are based off Otome dating games. The second installment is called Alice in the Country of Clover which must be viewed either in game format or through the spinoffs from the original Alice in the Country of Hearts manga.
