The world of the Dark-Hunters® is unlike anything you’ve every seen before. It’s dark. It’s gritty. It’s dangerous…

And it’s a whole lot of unexpected action and snarky comebacks.

My name is Cyprian Malachai and I should have never been born. I know it. My mother knows it and most of all, my father, the Ambrose Malachai is more than aware of it. Every creature under the sun is out to end me.

But I don’t go down easy. Anyone who’s ever fought a Malachai knows that fact.

My father thinks that he’s heard the last of me . . .

He hasn’t. Our war is only on an interlude. It’s about to heat up and I have a massive grudge to settle. One that is far from over . . .

As with all of Sherrilyn (Kenyon) McQueens books I expect this book will leave me speechless and anxiously awaiting for the next installment.
However due to her arsehole ex-husband I believe we will never see this book nor any others from my Queen Goddess. She is and always will be my favorite author. She has amazed me with her stories. I have introduced her books to so many of my friends and family that now everyone I know reads her books.
I wish I could help her in some way with all her personal issues so she may return to doing what she does best,
write amazing stories in worlds that seem so very real to all of her fans.

I read the Chronicles of Nick years ago and I absolutely loved it but I am not sure I'll pick this up after the travesty of the CON ending.

I knew where the story would end up as CON was a prequel and in order for it to tie in with the Dark Hunter series. I've honestly never read such a rushed and unsatisfactory ending, it read like a poor fan fiction. I could forgive a bad ending but after years of investment in characters and a story that simply gets absolutely butchered in order to make room for a sequel to the prequel with a character who only appeared in the last book??

CON was supposed to feature 9 books but the author randomly decided to jam two books into one (which happened to be the shortest in the series) in order to make way for this?? Nah, I frankly don't trust the author. I know this is the supposed sequel but I honestly couldn't care less about Cyprian's story.
