When Sam Waters hit the small town of Nelson Island on the South Carolina coast, he felt like he was in paradise. The lush green landscape, the beautiful beaches and the constant wind coming off the water carrying with it the scent of the sea was everything he’d ever dreamed of having. Plus, he was free of the stigma he’d always carried in his hometown of Duck Creek, Virginia. Now all he could hope for was that the secret he was running from wouldn’t

I read through a few reviews for this book before I started reading it and some of them were really negative towards the book because it isn’t “rational”. They have said things what happened with Sam and the decisions he made “don’t make any sense”. I want to address these really quick because that was a big setback for me on picking up the book.

First things first, who ever said that love was rational? No one. That’s who. People do things for love on a daily basis that will not make sense to th

Wow Diana just blows me away with each book she writes, this one sure did not disappoint.

I was addicted from the first chapter, and had to see which way the story was going to pan out.

If your looking for a book and you want someone to say you GOTTA Read This , it's this one.

This is hard to review without giving too much of the story line away, as it was cram packed with such greatness.

First, there are a few things you should know about this review. One, I don’t read a lot of contemporary romance because I typically get bored and lose interest about 50% of the way in. Two, I have a really hard time getting into third person POV, and usually don’t feel any connection to the characters at all. With Wanting Forever, neither were an issue. I read through the book in a matter of two days (would have been less if I didn’t have four kids), and never once felt bore

Wanting Forever is the newest work from author Diana Gardin and the first in a new series. After enjoying her other works, I was excited to read this book and it was fantastic.

Having to leave his hometown, family, and girlfriend behind, Sam Waters is trying to make a new life for himself. He hadn’t really had much of a choice and is trying to make the most of it. Luckily, he found a decent job as a ranch hand to a wealthy family who also gave him a place to live and he had been thankful. He knew

First off, there is something big missing from this synopsis. When the story starts both the main characters are in a serious relationship with someone else. No worries, there is no cheating, though it's that fact that of course holds them back from acting on this sizzling attraction between them.

Sam ran from a pretty terrible life and made some not so wise decisions, making him now a wanted man. He was lucky enough to start anew and is actually thriving, something he wasn't expecting at all. St

I love Sam for so many reasons one being he seems like a genuinely nice guy, he's sexy and strong and hardworking but he cares with his whole being. he puts his love one's first. I felt for him for making the decisions he's made and unfortunately the decisions hurt him more than he thought they could. I was torn at first with Ashton I thought she was a spoiled witch at times but when Sam got to her and peeled her layers you got to see a different person, real and scared at times but tough. Wanting Forever is the first book in the Nelson Island series. This is a great coming of age love story. Sam is on the run and ends up working for Aston's family. In the beginning they are both in relationships and Aston seems a little jealous of how her dad takes Sam under his wings. Will they ever be able to find their HEA or will the past keep them from it?

This is a very well written and edited book. It was the first book that I have read by Ms Gardin. The descriptions are so vivid that I fe

This is the first book in the Nelson Island series, just the beginning really! In January, Book 2 of the series will be released. I've gotten the impression from readers so far that they really want to know what the heck happened with Ever back in Duck Creek, so you're in luck. Book 2 is Ever's story! I hope you enjoy WANTING FOREVER.

I really enjoyed this book. There was a lot of mystery and plenty of heat that made it hard to put the book down. I just loved the characters! I loved Sam and I was rooting for him all the way through the book. The chemistry between the characters was amazing!

I really liked this book because it had a bit of mystery along with the romance. You really root for Sam and hope that good things happen to him despite the fact that he is running from something terrible that he has done in his past. I highly recommend this.

Going into Wanting Forever, I couldn't wait to read the story because the blurb sounded really good. But the blurb is actually very different from what the actual story was, and I felt like I was mislead into reading something completely different than I had expected. I had a lot of problems with this story because of that and because of how things played out. I think that I would have felt much differently had I known what I was getting mysel

I had a hard time with this book..I think because of the Ever/Sam thing, of all the characters in the book, two characters touched me, and they weren't even the main characters. Ever and Reed. Ever, because of everything she went through, the book only touched on it, yet the horrors that can't even be imagined. Reed because he's the tortured musician, in a f

My Thoughts:

Sam Waters grew up in poverty with his older brother Hunter, and his verbally abusive single mother. His neighbor was a lovely girl named Ever, who grew up with a physically abusive father. Sam took on the role of Ever's protector early on. They were each other's first love, and all each knew in the small town of Duck Creek, Virginia.

Sam has to flee and is on the run as he once more tries to protect Ever. He settles in Nelson Island, South Carolina. There he finds a family that embra

This book was hard to read at times because of what is taking place. Sam Waters has lived basically his whole protecting Ever. He has made the ultimate sacrifice for her and now has had to leave the place he has grown up. He wanted to leave eventually but now he will never be able to come back and isn’t sure what is going to happen or what he is really going to do. Ever has been abused by her father for almost her whole life. Sam and his brother Hunter have been there for her doing whatever they ...more

This book was not what I hoped it would be. Based on the blurb, I expected an against-odds pairing between a down on his luck ranch hand and the beautiful boss’s daughter he thinks is out of his league. While I wouldn’t call that completely off base, I wouldn’t say I was 100% right. The blurb leaves out some pertinent facts, like the fact Sam already has a girlfriend. Not only that, but they were childhood sweethearts AND he is on the run for helping her after she killed the abusive father who b ...more

~I received a copy of Wanting Forever in exchange for an honest review.~

Let me just start by saying that I love a good romance, chick lit, or romcom as much as the next person. That being said, this was just too predictable. Within the first couple pages I could explain the entire story line. That’s not usually a problem for me, but had I not been given this book, I wouldn't have finished. This story just seemed very unoriginal and frankly improbable.

There are so many great romance books that e

Affairs of the heart can be complicated and it becomes more complicated when your heart and your head are telling you different things.

Sam finds himself on Nelson Island after running from his home in Duck Creek to protect his girl, Ever. What he doesn't count on is meeting Aston and fighting a growing attraction for her, knowing that it is wrong as both he and her are already in a relationship with other people.

Aston wants to hate Sam for wheedling his way into her family and their business but

Look at that cover! Isn't it awesome? That was the main reason fro picking this story, that and the fact that the blurb told me a very good story. I just wish the blurb had told me everything in it. I know there is something to be said for surprises in that story, but I feel a few huge things had been left out.
The story itself was good, there was things that caught my the intimate moments. They were sexy without being too much...sometimes less is more! But the

Wonderful and thoughtful

This is my first time to read a Diana Gardin novel and I am so glad I did. She writes in an honest, down to earth way that draws the reader from page 1. As I followed the storylines, nothing was as I expected. The characters were very well developed and I went from not liking rich girl Aston to loving her once I understood her better. Sam is a Hero but with a few flaws to make him real. I really love this author and will be looking for more from her. Wanting Forever is a

This time around we have Sam & Aston's story.
Sam's story starts off with some heartbreak leaving him basically on the run taking the blame for a crime he didn't commit ( Have to love a man who does that) While on the run he runs into Mr. Hopewell and Mr Hopewell offers him a job at his ranch.
Aston is a beautiful woman, and that's the problem, she is woman trying to belong in her dad's world where he feels it's her place to stay home, get married & pop out babies. She starts to but head

I like the bases of the story. How do you let go of a love you thoyght was it when you realize a true love is waiting for? But it took it while to pick up.Also, the fact that Sam keep trying to hide the fact that what had happen was not his fault at all. It's like his need to protected out weighted common sense. This is not to say I would not love to the flip side of the story(Ever&Hunter) because that may answer so things too! Would rate 3.5 !
