Oo I liked it! I won Dark Redemption ages ago and just let it sit on my Netgalley self but I finally dove in and, damn, yall. It was worth the time!

The Gist: Mala's kept the fact she can communicate with ghosts a secret her whole life and has a life altering decision to make. There's something evil out there brutally murdering teenage boys as some sort of sacrifice and her otherworldly talents and the s

I have to say that I really enjoyed this series! It was such a fun and dark read. The only reason I didn't rate the final book a 5 stars was that I felt that the MC lost a little bit of who I felt she was in the first 2 books. I hate to say I expected more from her but I was a bit disappointed with her reactions to some of the events. I was hoping for more.
Yet, that being something I personally was wanting from the story. The author really gives you great characters, setting and a lot of twists

I have enjoyed this series from the very first book. With it's rich dark detail to life on the bayou and that old southern charm of Louisiana it is hard not to fall in love with the setting. Add in a very dark gritty and mysterious New Orleans that runs rampant with voodoo hoodoo and ghosts and you have one heck of a ride. Twists and turns galore that will leave you breathless and shaking your head wondering what in the world will happen next and what lurks around the next bend.

Laundry and Mala are back in the third book in the series, which takes place about a month after the end of the second book. They are trying to deal with the things life has thrown at them the best that they can, with custody of the Acker boys, Dena in a coma, Laundry with a demon in his head and Aunt Magnolia on the horizon. When a murderer is on the loose, Mala gets dragged into the investigation by using her ghost skills not police skills. She learns that this investigation ties into so much ...more

This is the end of the oh so very unique and rather fantastic trilogy about coming into your powers, falling in love, and generally just being a little badass while retaining the need to be saved every once in a while. Because who doesn’t want a knight in shining armor? I WANT ONEEEE! *****If you haven’t read the other two –Dark Paradise and Dark Sacrifi

This is the final book for the series and the conclusion that I have been waiting for. With some answered questions, I was anxious for some answered so I dove right back in to Mala and Landry’s story. Just when Mala thinks she can get have a normal life. She has a house full of people, a surprise that neither her of Landry is prepared for and bodies being discovered with no explanation. Her assistance is needed but the secrets that Mala wants to hide so badly, are the ones that uncover the trut
Do you know much about magic, demons, possession or witches, Louisiana swamp style? Let Angie Sandro guide you through the treacherous waters of the Dark Paradise series. The final book, Dark Redemption is as twisted and convoluted as its predecessors, but has the responsibility of bringing it all together.

Mala and Landry have seen good times, bad times and now, their time together may be cut short as black magic rears its ugly head in one last battle. Game time is over, no more toying with its

Book Review: Dark Redemption by Angie Sandro

In the follow up from Dark Paradise, Mala is working hard to care for the Acker boys while their sister Dena lies in the hospital. Mala knows she can bring her back but she is afraid. Mala doesn’t know if it will work or if she will be able to kill someone to take Dena’s place. She blames herself for a lot that has happened even through she had to do all she could. Mala’s sight of ghosts and special talents are what helps her take on the dark magic in

Oh My Gravy!! It all comes together and falls apart and comes together again in this last book of Angie Sandro’s Dark Paradise trilogy/series. Angie Sandro is amazing when it comes to weaving an intricate story tying up things from the last two books neatly into this one for one dynamic climatic ending. I loved every second of this series, every twist and turn and scary hoodoo spell this series has been great reading.

Dark Redemption picks up right where Dark Sacrifice ended. Mala is still trying to come to grips with her new abilities and her failure to save her cousin, and Landry is literally fighting his own demon. They are both taking on the responsibility of an instant family when the Acker boys come to live with them. To make matters worse, there is a serial killer dismembering teen boys near Mala’s swamp. George seeks Mala’s
I have read the two prior books before Dark Redemption and my one true regret is I waited so long to read this last book!! This series is gritty and raw it is packed full of emotion and some crazy life or death situations. Think Paranormal murder mystery in the Bayou.

Dark Redemption is just that a dark journey Mala and Landry go through for redemption. Their Journey is not just dark but the trials they face test the very essence of their souls. Deep Right?! Angie Sandro pours life into her char

Woooo! Quite the ending! Didn’t see some of that coming at all! And I must give Ms. Sandro kudos on wrapping everything up altogether admirably. I don’t think she left anything hanging. I wasn’t left with one question as to what happened to who or with what. Be prepared to roll with the punches on this one, because they just keep coming and coming. This one is filled with flesh and soul eating butterflies, lo

I really liked this book. At first I was a little lost because I have not read the first two books in the Dark Paradise series. However, after reading Dark Redemption, I will definitely be reading them!

The story is told in both Mala and Landry’s point of view, which makes the story stronger and the events better understood. Mala seems like a fairly strong character. She can take care of herself and she has a kind

I have loved this series from the very dark beginning. The setting of New Orleans and beautiful Creole Louisiana along with the cover art is what initially brought my attention to the series. Yet, it’s the dark and unyielding romance story of Mala and Landry that has kept me intertwined into their world. Their beginning was dark and filled with dangerous situations so it was not a long shot to imagine that their ending would be the same.

It’s been a very wild and hoodoo filled ride with their sto

I have to say this is one of the most extraordinary books I read in a while if you thought the first two books were amazing, wait you read this one Angie Sandro books have a way of drawing you in and holding you there. But a word of advise have some tissues handy I won't say why as it would ruin the whole book for you but make sure you have them. Now for a little bit I can tell you

Dark Redemption by Angie Sandra was a phenomenal debut. This wonderful YA Paranormal romance had hints of the Beautiful Creatures series but with a voice all its own. I absolutely adore gothic, Southern Paranormal romance novels, especially when they’re in the YA genre, and Dark Redemption didn’t miss the mark. And the cover, I love it! It says, “Enter if you dare!” And dare I did.

OH EM GEE!!!! Prepare yourself for a wild ride, readers! WHAT an emotional and exciting end to a truly spectacular series. The Dark Paradise Series was honestly the first in a long time I really didn't want to end. I'm going to be feeling the effects of a serious book hangover for quite some time now...

I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as the other ones. It worked, and by that I mean that it finished off the story. But the wrap up was too quick. It was a little too easy and it felt like Sandro was just trying to figure out how to finish the story as quickly as possible.

The end scene/chapter was a big let-down. If you watched the show True Blood all the way to the end, you know what I'm talking about. It's all happy-time hunnky-dory bull crap. It would be so much nicer if things ended a l

What a tailspin!

I cannot believe Angie Sandro went through when writing the third and last of the Dark Paradise series!. How-? What-?! The things that take place in this southern mystical tale has literally blown me out of the water! Sandro does not disappoint and delivers a mighty story with incredible characters whose lives are knit tightly together to face whatever comes ahead. The story magically unfolds such thrilling and shocking moments nobody would ever want to miss in Mala and Landry's

Miss Sandro has blown my mind! She has taken book number 3 to a whole other level. Her ability to bring her supernatural world to life is nothing short of amazing! The culmination of everything the characters were dealing with came together in an explosion the size of a nuclear bomb! Her ability to weave the here and now with the supernatural so effortlessly is a natural gift.
I was expecting an awesome story, but got so much more!
As I have said in the past, Miss Sandro must be a sorceress. She k

This one just didn't hold my attention the way the other two did.

For the most part, it seemed the story revolves around Mala and Landry constantly thinking/talking about one thing. I don't want to say what that thing is and spoil it. However, that topic got really old, really fast.

There was a really good twist at the end, but by then I was ready to be done with it. Overall, the series was mildly entertaining, but perhaps didn't need to be a trilogy.

It wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped for, but it wasn't bad. It started out great, with a murder mystery that was truly creepy. But that just became window dressing rather than the real plotline. There were a lot of coincidental things that popped up in the last third that aggravated me, then went nowhere so they weren't even necessary. I think my favorite thing was how Landry interacted with the "demon" in his head and how that particular thread was wrapped up.

It has been a very long time since I've enjoyed a good book. This trilogy are brilliant. I love the characters and setting. And the story line is unique and different. I'll look forward to reading dark embrace fix using on Mala's cousin Dena and Novella focusing on Bessie. I do hope though there will be another story involving Mala and Landry! So glad I stumbled across these books.

This book is a roller coaster of thrills! The ending to this trilogy is perfect, and sad, as I hated for the story to end. The imagery is wonderful and the plot intense.
