Angeli-The Pirate, the Angel and the Irishman is a wonderful story that plays with several genres mixing them perfectly. This story boasts everything from fantasy and suspense to time traveling with some history thrown in.

Our main heroine is Anne Bonny, a 300 year old pirate turned Sentinel tasked with the protection of humans and destroying evil angels aka perfidia. Anne doesn't do this job alone, with the help of her Arch Angel Michael, fellow Sentinel Con and assistant Jeffrey she travels th

Well, Interesting concept to the Angels and how they protect or not protect humans. The female protagonist in this was bad ass and alittle sweet at times. the back and forth between her and Con was comical at times. I would recommend this book for a fun read.

I was given a free copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

If it were possible I would give this story three and a half stars.

There are many creative notions in this book. The idea of angels trying to redeem their own kind that had fallen and falling far short of their goal was interesting. I liked the idea of a strong female protagonist. The idea that angels worked their chosen servants without being totally up front with them tracked well. Even though Miss Vansant had many story e

First off, I would like to say that I like this cover. I think it is unique. And unique is my favorite!

I think the design does well to show the characters personalities. You don't see that very often with computer graphic images.

The Story and the Characters: I really loved the idea that Amy Vascant had when it come to angles. Or should I say the Angeli. They are beings of energy, who's sole purpose is to protect the human race. Thoughts would enter there head for seemingly no reason. As they act

Anne Bonny (yes, the pirate) wakes from a mortal wound and soon finds that she has become a Sentinel, a human tasked with the reaping of fallen angels, called Perfidia. She is good at her job and has a complicated romantic relationship with her boss, the Archangel Michael. She also gets visited by her disembodied ex-lover, Con, a fellow Sentinel. When a new kind of evil entity shows up, the three have to work to

"Angeli - The Pirate, the Angel & the Irishman" is a novel that delivers a blend of genres that works surprisingly well. It's really unlike any novel I've read, with elements of contemporary-urban fantasy, mystery, and romance. It's set in various time periods and locations, from modern New Jersey to 18th century Jamaica.

Vansant penned an eclectic and original cast of characters. (Angels and pirates is not a combination that usually comes to mind.) My favorite character is Con Carey because

I received a free copy of the ebook from the author in exchange for writing a review. So here it is.

I went into the book completely blind, without any idea or expectation of even what genre it would fall into. Romance? Sci fi? Adventure? I didn't have a clue.

As it turns out, the book has a little bit of everything. The main character is Anne Bonny (the famous Pirate) who is essentially a human soldier for an angelic army. Without getting too caught up in world building details: she helps rid the

I’ll admit I was a little confused when I started Angeli – The Pirate, the Angel& the Irishman because it almost looked like there was an earlier book in the series that served to introduce the characters. However, the approach was just a clever way of introducing the story and the relevant backstory evolved as time went along, making for an interesting and fun read. Personally, I absolutely loved the characterization and it was a much more interesting romance than most, because of the way t ...more

Dark fantasy, romance and great humor!

Somehow, I managed to read Cherubim (book 2 in the series) before reading this volume but, I assure you, this didn’t spoil my reading pleasure in the least on both counts. Just like Cherubim, Angeli is a killer combination of romance, comedy and adventure that had me turning the pages thirstily to the last. Mrs Vansant’s storytelling is seamless and highly imaginative. There is no predictability here, nothing that you can guess or expect to spoil your fun, a

What Amy Vansant has created in Angeli - The Pirate, the Angle &the Irishman is a world that his wholly unique and a bit addictive. I really wasn't sure what to expect going in and was very pleasantly surprised. It really does have a bit of everything. It's a fantasy book, but it's funny. It's a romance book, but it's got a great mystery plot line and the characters were dynamic (my favorite of which was Michael).
I read a lot of books in a lot of different genre's and this is one of the ver

Anne Bonny is a pirate who dies in a battle but is resurrected as a Sentinel to help protect mankind against bad Angels. Gifted with a 1000 years to live, the story follows Anne in her battles and the two men in her life Con and Michael. The story is intriguing and very different to other books I have read. I think the different ideas work well together and that Anne is a great character. She's tough and resourceful and a great main character. Well written and full of action and excitement I wou ...more
I was offered a free copy of this book on my kindle in exchange of a review. I really enjoyed this book its about Anne Bonny the pirate who gets turned into a Sentinel after she almost dies and has to spend the rest of her life chasing angels that have become corrupted. The story moved at a nice pace and I really enjoyed the characters. I especially loved Con but I have a thing for Irish and Scottish characters in books. I would definitely recommend it if you like paranormal romances. If there's ...more

The book gripped tightly and didn't let go. I'm insistent on a second. like, yesterday.
Amy pulls off the love triangle between her three main characters with delicious ease. Humor around every corner and danger as well. The story moves along at an exciting pace that left me hungry for the next step. I will be rereading this in the near future. What a fun book! And enticing story matter. High Fives all around!

Angeli by Amy Vansant is an amazingly adventurous story packed full of unexpected twists and turns. With each new page - the fun loving, humorous characters are on the run from one grand task to another. The author did an amazing job describing each scene in this story – with so much descriptive detail; it was easy to visualize each new scene. If you like sci-fi / adventure / paranormal / romance – I highly recommend this book!

DNF-ing this also. I'm not interested in reading books that are only romances with a thin layer of fantasy. I rather read a fantasy with a good love story that are not the only "interesting" part
I just was bored...couldn't finish it:(

Angeli: The Pirate, the Angel and the Irishman by Amy Vansant

This is yet again one of those paranormal, even a bit romance(y), novels. I've come to realize it's not that much of a reach for me to be reading these; as much of the science fiction I read ends up reading a lot like paranormal rather than hard science; and, though I have a respect for the Simon pure Science Fiction, it seems that the novels that tend to lean in the paranormal direction have more interesting characters. For me it's al

Good vs evil, vs good?

Arch angels, Guardians and Sentinels, all created to protect humans. And they did, until a sickness turns some of them evil. Those turned now use humans as a power source. Anne Bonny, a pirate in her time, was brought back as a Sentinel. When an Arch Angel contracts the disease, Anne is sent in to reap his energy. But something is different about this reaping...
Full of fast paced action, with a great plot and characters. I loved it!

Not bad... Not bad at all... But I wouldn't really call this a romance....

Not bad.... Not bad at all... Interesting story ,interesting characters my only real problem is the description of the books, I'm almost all the way through book two as I right this and while both books are fun and interstate no tales of "good" vs evil per say and the Angeli or Angels who try to help us and police their own,my main problem is this doesn't really feel like a romance necessarily...... This was a fun and fast book, with enough action, comedy, and tense romance to keep me turning the pages well past my bed time (and well into dawn). Though it played heavy on sexual tension, the actual sex was brief and more often teased at then in specific detail. The entangled romance between Anne, Michael, and Con was interesting but toned enough to let the main focus, the Perfidia and their like, really shine. It would have been disappointing if the romance had overrun such a surreal monster ...more

This is the first book I have read from this author and WOW, it blew me away!!! I wish I had across this author sooner. This book is a major page turner and an addictive read, I am now dying to read the second book after reading this, and how it ended

I really really enjoyed the storyline, one of the things I loved most is how the story gives you snippets of Anne's long life, it gives you in an insight into who she is, her hopes and dreams and how she lives her life with courage and inner strengt

Humor and Original Twists Make Angeli a Joy to Read

Humor appears so infrequently in paranormal fiction, I savor it when I find it. Add an original take on angel-human romance, mostly well-developed characters, and a fast-paced, thriller-suspense plot and you got a winner, baby.

Vansant takes a historical figure, female pirate Anne Bonney, and plops her into a world where the angels, aka Angeli, fight to destroy corruption in their ranks, the Perfidia, angels who prey on humans for their energy. T

It has been a while since I have read a book this good.

This book was incredibly well-written. I really enjoyed the way the story was told and the character development. I absolutely adore the way the author described everything. As an author myself I struggle with descriptions but Amy Vansant nailed every single one.

This book is clearly a paranormal story, with a lot of similarities to Vampire novels, except with Angels instead. I really liked the unique take on the Angeli and the Sentinels, and

Absolutely brilliant book! Intrigue, treachery, and a love triangle between a pirate, an angel, and an Irishman. What's not to love?

Anne Bonny left her husband, took up with a pirate, became one herself (for a day and a half), and met a strange woman pulled from the ocean who changed her life forever. Or, well... At least a thousand years or so.

Join Anne, her boss (the Archangel Michael), angel enforcer named Con - an Irishman who currently has no corporeal body, an assistant with a penchant for

I received this as an arc for an honest review, come to find out I also purchased this book in February . Now I may or may not post spoilers so read on if you dare!

Now, this starts out in the future but then quickly goes to the past. It is twisted in some of its thinking. Not twisted in a bad way just in a different way of thinking how angels really are.

How even angels get sick. Can be bad guys and gives a whole new twist in history over what we know it. I have to say this was a thought provok

It's not often I can say that I would read a book a second time.. later down the road. This book I would definitely read again.

The characters are so well written you find yourself drawn into the story.
Two pages in and I was hooked.. fantastic story.
Amy gives some backstory at the beginning of the book and this added to understanding what was happening current day.
I can't wait to read the second book in this story. If you like paranormal stories with Angels, you will l
