The Italian's Passionate Return by Elizabeth Lennox is the first book of the contemporary romance The Alfieri Saga series. While part of a series there is a definite ending and the next in the series changes to another couple as the main characters so it can be read as a standalone.

The two main characters in this story, Damien and Jemma, shared a passionate past but afterwards neither could figure out how to find one another. Now years later Jemma is perfectly happy in her life as a single moth

Sweet romance.

I always enjoy Elizabeth Lennox books but I think of them as 'go along for the ride books' you know you're getting a romance with a happy ending, a rich powerful man and generally a nice ordinary girl and there's usually a misunderstanding thrown in as well, sometimes it's just what you need.
So when I noticed this book was free this morning I thought I'd give it a go and yes it was everything I expected, the characters were good, the story predictable but nice, so all round feel go

I really wanted to enjoy this story! I love messy drama and second-chance romances, but I couldn't seem to get acclimated to this author's writing style, even to the end of the story. It felt very anti-climactic and I kept waiting for something to happen, but the characters' responses and attitudes were just so matter-of-fact. Everything neatly fell into place--no fuss, no muss, despite the serious nature of a man being denied his rightful position in his son's life. I wasn't expecting an all-ou ...more

I enjoyed Jemma & Damien's story. This also felt different (in a good way!) from all of Elizabeth Lennox's other books, I think it was the layout and style. I look forward to reading about the rest of the Alfieri family come fall! :)

I love this short story that I read many months ago. I thought it was an endearing tale. Unfortunately I did not care for the books that came after this one in this series so this is the only one that I finished.

A nice cute story.
Elizabeth Lennox has written many stories I enjoy and this was yet again another one.

Got this as a Nook (B&N) freebie and enjoyed it. I would recommend it to romance fans of short stories and Happy endings.

I have no desire to finish this book. It barely held my interest in the beginning and it really hasn't improved for me. It's a short story and even that isn't making me want to finish it. I downloaded this as a Kindle freebie so kind of glad I didn't buy this.

This is a free novella by Ms. Lennox. The characters are Jemma and Damien. They met at a night club, are instantly attracted to each other, dance together, and then goes to his penthouse and spend the night together. In the morning, she wakes up and leaves him due to embarrassment. She later realizes she is pregnant, but is unable to locate him because they didn't exchange last names and she couldn't remember how to get to his home. Fast forward several years and they end up meeting each other a ...more

Didn't make it past 40%

This book really needed to be proofread. The billionaire hero can't count or is confused as to the normal length of a pregnancy. The heroine is supposedly a well known horse and dog breeder at 25 but struggles financially. If she can't buy groceries why go into two o f the most expensive businesses? I'm not sure how she's known as a horse breeder if her horses don't travel. Race, show and rodeo horses all log miles of travel and the best show horses are world travelers. Oh

I enjoyed this short story, Damien was wonderful but Jemma was a great characther too. I did find the children a little to grown for there ages, but loved the story. I didn't realise it was a prequel to a series of books about Jemma and Damien's children, which I'll be adding to my tbr as i enjoyed this authors style, and you can't go wrong with a HEA

Sizzling Romance

I normally never write reviews, but here goes. The Italian's Passionate Return is one for the ages. A romance that has never died for six years apart. I recommend this book and the series as well.

One night living on the edge they share one night of Passion. Jemma is embarrassed by her actions and flees in the morning before Damien wakes, with their first names as the only exchange they had for each other.

It has now been six years since Damien sent out a search party looking for the girl from that night, only to find her on this simple farm, with a simple business of raising horses and dogs, and a son. But everything about her brings back the memory of how he felt back then and where he w

Granted that night gave her her wonderful son Dylan, she does not want to find Damien. When Damien's search for a puppy for his niece, he winds up on Jemma's farm amiring her yellow lab puppies when he meets Dylan. Great story and I can't wait to read the rest of the Alfieri Family story's because if they're anything like their father then the will be real good. I feel in love with Jemma right a way she is a fighter and survivor. What she did for her son was amazing I know a lot of single mothers who think more about themselves then there child. I also like that she put her insecurities aside to tell Damien about Dylan because she could have just let him walk away even though Damien was coming back for Jem ...more

At the end of this short story Elizabeth Lennox states that in her normal books she includes more character development, however there is a difference between decreasing the amount of character development you include to shorten a story, and completely removing all traces of it. Within The Italian's Passionate Return the characters were very poor. I did not feel by the end that I knew the characters, that I understood their back stories, their innermost thinking, what makes them tick, or even wh ...more

It's funny how fate can be cruel one minute and kind another. That's the thought when Damien travels to a farm looking to purchase a puppy for his niece only to find Jemma, the girl he's been trying to locate for the past 6 years. Their one night of passion was enough to know she was his destined mate though she disappeared the next morning without leaving her name.

Jemma paid the price for her one night of sex with a total stranger though Dylan is the light of her life. Damien's sudden appearan

Even though the author says it's a short sample of her work, it's great. The story feels long and the character development is very good. I didn't want the story to end and I would read this again.
Overview. Jemme has a run down farm where she sales horses and dogs. She sends her son out to feed the puppies. Dylan (her son) finds a guy in the barn looking at the puppies. Dylan and Damien talk than Dylan goes and gets his mom. Jemme freaks when she sees Damien there. That was Dylan's fath

This was a free novella that really had a great sounding synopsis...so much so that I downloaded it even though I have way too many books on my TBR list. It was just not what I was expecting...too much of a fairytale with a hero who was just too good to be true. He's supposed to be an Italian businessman with a ton of money but he somehow ends up on a small farm to buy a puppy that just happens to be owned by the woman he had a one night stand with 6 years ago and who got pregnant and had his ba ...more

Jemma and Damien. They met years ago in the city and had a one night stand. She runs off afterward, mortified by her behavior. She was only 20 and a virgin (of course), but a couple weeks later she is still 20 but pregnant. She tries to find him but in her frazzled state she didn't take note of where his apartment was and can't seem to find it again. She goes back to the club but no luck there and she never got his last name.
So she goes back to the country and raises their son on her family hor

As a busy entrepreneur, Mom and author myself, I'm very choosy about the books and authors I include in my TBR (to be read) pile. Elizabeth Lennox is one of my top three authors I go to when I want to read a satisfying, passionately romantic tale with extraordinarily good looking - and truly gorgeous inside and out - heroes, and warm and loving strong women. I want to meet the young men in my dreams and I want to befriend the lucky women who fall in love with the hunks.
