This was a great big IoT book, and I enjoyed reading about all the different devices and how they can improve your life.
There were, however, a few products featured in this book that I wouldn't recommend as they are probably used for espionage. Stick with Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
Excellent book if you have a programming background and have some engineering knowledge. Covers the hardware and software for complex IoT environments. Arduinos, Raspberry Pi and BeagleBone Black.
