Plagiarism Warning!!!!!
Sam Taylor Mullens is 100% a plagiarist.
I am appalled. Last week I was sent an ARC for the new novel The Auction Deal by Sam Taylor Mullens, I read and rated it. Earlier this week I received an email from Author Rachel Nunes stating she had wrote the same book in 1998, I had to investigate. Nunes' book is offered on Amazon for free so I dove right in. She was correct!
It seems Sam Taylor Mullens copied and pasted almost word word from A Bid for Love. Sam Tayl

This book is blatantly plagiarized from a book written by Rachel Ann Nunes. I am so appalled not only by the deceitfulness of the original theft, but the lies and threats thrown at the ACTUAL author of the book. For shame! ...more

I am absolutely ashamed of this author for plagiarizing a novel. I will not read this and anyone who takes pride in work that is not their own deserves one star reviews. Many people have contacted this author and Rachel Nunes herself (who Sam copied from) and it was nothing, but a string of excuses. Nothing added up and a "friend" of Sam's tried to make this woman seem like a saint saying she had an autistic son, she counsels women who were involved in violent domestic situations, and teaches il ...more

It's really quite sad when a book is willing to give the appearance of perpetrating identity theft. It is. Why oh why, can't a book put forth "new" information instead of allegedly stealing the works of another book?

For shame, this book should be hiding it's head, apologizing to the book who's identity was stolen, and beg for forgiveness. Sadly, some books don't have the moral fortitude to do the right thing. Please pass on this book who has allegedly felt it was okay to steal another's identit

UPDATE 14-Sept-2014: Completely gobsmacked. Seems she also plagiarised a wounded vet's account??? See

Also, last names deleted from below list b/c Rushton used the names of some of her students for her sock puppets??! See

UPDATE 4-Sept-2014: Ms. Nunes has filed suit in federal court.

You dishonest pig of a plagiarist. To Sam Taylor Mullens: I cannot adequately express my disgust with plagiarism and your blatant thievery of Rachel Ann Nunes' book. I hope someone discovers your identity and it goes viral to highlight your complete lack of morality and ethics.

is one of the reasons people don't trust independent authors.

Possibly the most appalling thing you can do to someone is take their inspiration, the hours and hours they've spent in front of a computer, the doubt and excitement and thrills of creation, and steal it. It's like raping someone's brain.

There are some really sweet self-published authors out there.

Then there are some not-so-sweet self-published authors. It seems that the overwhelming majority I have come into contact with have been the not so sweet ones.

I have been harassed for giving bad reviews for books that deserved them, been spammed with requests to read such and such's books and been friend requested by people who just want to advertise a book.

I can now add plagiarists onto my list.

I really like that Sam Taylor Mullens is not a cookie-cutter writer.

Apparently one of the qualifications for not being a cookie-cutter writer includes plagiarism. I am just in complete shock that someone would have the....balls (for lack of a better word) to do such a thing! How can you claim to be a writer if you can't even come up with your own ideas!? Miss Mullens, you are despicable.

I've read some rubbish over the years, but at least it was created by the author laying claim to it. Unlike The Auction Deal - directly and blatantly plagiarised from another author's hard work.

Intellectual theft is still theft, and it is immoral.

The real, original, authentic deal is A Bid For Love by Rachel Ann Nunes.

I have removed this review as it has been reported to me that the Author (STM) plagiarized ~ copied this book almost word for word ~ from another Authors book.

I choose not to get involved with the ridiculousness of it all and therefore, I am removing my review and staying out of it. I feel bad for both parties involved for whatever reasons they have found themselves in this situation.

I am just a blogger giving honest reviews and will continue to do so. Neutrally.

Blessings to all !

plagiarism and sock puppetry are the tools of the incompetent and the desperate. this novel is a product of the former and has been defended by the latter. the author who was ripped off is now aware of it's existence and the gears that grind this sort of garbage down are now turning. so, while it is unfortunate that Mullens saw fit to steal someone else's work, they have my thanks for doing it in such a way as to make this entertaining to watch as it falls apart.

Besides the fact that she has plagiarism allegations. She proceeds to tell the original author that her child is autistic! If it is a lie which is what it sounds like that is horrible to say to get sympathy!!!!! I'm a mother of an Autistic child and I would never use that as an excuse either or for sympathy. You should be ashamed and I will be telling my group of reader friends to NEVER read anything from you. ...more

I read this book in one afternoon. Once I started I could not put it down. It has everything I like, a love story, intrigue and mystery. Lance and Ella are a believable couple whose relationship takes an adventurous turn from the beginning. Pick up a copy of this book, you will not be disappointed.

Pure dribble. Took another author's work and added porn. And people claim they liked it? Seems like the author created some fake accounts and had friends not read it, just review it.
Those who gave it 5 stars got duped bad!
