My life was just like any other girl’s until the Maxwell corporate empire ruined my family and stole my future. I’d given up hoping to see justice done, but then the way to right this wrong was dropped in my lap. My job with an event planner can get me into the home of one of Maxwell’s business partners. I can find evidence of what they did to my father. I can make sure they pay.

I wasn’t expecting Sebastian.

Sebastian has been hired for security, but he is also the son of the man I despise. I should hate Sebastian purely on principle. I shouldn’t care that he’s sweet and funny and sexy as hell. He’ll always be a Maxwell, and that means he’s my enemy.

I can’t help but want him anyway.

He seems to want me too, but only for a good time. He’s the son of privilege, and he’ll never be serious about me. He’ll also never betray his family. If he finds out what I’m really doing here, he’ll turn on me in an instant. He’ll keep me from finding justice.

It’s just that I keep finding him instead.

This was like coming home to that one place that meant the most to you— that one place where you knew that you were accepted for who and what you were and loved for it.

My Review:

I adored this couple and second chance romance storyline. Ali and Sebastian had fallen in love as teenagers but were forced apart by Sebastian’s monstrous father. During the final pages of the first book in the series, Sebastian and three other returning wounded veterans, who had bonded during boot camp, found they were struggling with the transition back into civilian life. The four friends went into business together, established a security company, and were working hard to get their fledgling company off the ground. Asking Sebastian’s wealthy father for a start on potential contacts proved to be a misstep as when Sebastian refused to bend to his will, his vile father’s deplorable business tactics were employed against him. The storyline was engaging, entertaining, relevant, occasionally amusing, and oh so steamy. I really liked the chemistry and banter between these clever and endearing characters and am looking forward to getting a closer look at the other two members.

Protecting the enemy is an improvement from the first book, but still, it was mediocre. Each book kept improving as the authors seemed to get more comfortable with their characters. This book was easier to read than the first book, but I wasn't a big fan of the story. Ali was always getting caught when she was snooping around by Sebastian and I was wondering how someone else hadn't caught her on the act. I don't believe that Sebastian ever said to Ali the real reason he broke up with her. We found out, but I don't think she ever did. There was a lot of judgment on her part and Sebastian didn't deserve it. I was very happy to see Al coming to the conclusion that she was treated poorly and unfairly Sebastian this whole time. I wanted to see her grooving a bit more though. She got off quite easily. Sebastian is my favorite guy out of the four men. He got a somewhat good heroine though which is sad. At least she was able to admit her mistakes.

Both of the books in this series have been quick, short reads. We were introduced to four Marine's: Levi, Declan, Sebastian and Cole in Duty Bound. This book is Sebastian's story.

Sebastian has always felt like an outsider when it comes to his family. He's an only child and has no interest in wearing a suit or taking over the family business, which disappoints his father. When he returns from duty, he opens a security/investigation firm with the rest of the guys. He's hired by one of his father's friends to provide security for an upcoming gala. It's during the weeks of preparation that he meets Ali.

Ali works for an event planner and is tasked with putting together the gala. Turns out the man hosting the gala, along with Sebastian's father, runs the company that screwed her father out of a job and his pension. Ali takes it upon herself to try and find evidence that proves her father was wronged, but Sebastian keeps busting her snooping. Ali falls for him, until she finds out who is family is.

I think the story would have been better if the authors had taken the time to develop the story a little bit more. There was no depth or emotion, it felt entirely surface and predictable. I loved Sebastian, but the relationship between him and Ali felt like insta-love. She goes from hating him, to throwing herself at him, to professing her love. I also don't understand why the authors keeping alluding that there is more to Gavin's death but don't give us any answers.

Emotional and romantic at the same time are the two words i can describe the second book of the Protectors series!

The series follow a group of friends an ex military guys in the lives back at home and in the unexpected events of finding the true love!

Book two is the story of Sebastian and Ali. Their story stars a long time together when they were teenagers and felt in love. Two people from almost two different sides that due to Sebastian side they had to break up. Years after they met in the same environment and the chemistry and their attraction was still there. Ali had a very rough growing up days since his family met a lot of difficult situations and Sebastian had to deal his own family non approval of things and expectations

I really like this book even that i meet the same pattern of things as it was in the first book. Female is always angry and Male is always feeling the responsibly as an ex military person to protect his woman. But in the book i found it in a way more reasonable and didn't made me thing annoying or bored or anything. You got a lot of sense and vibes of Romeo an Juliet story but with a more of happy ending in the end instead,

Looking forward for the next book of the series!

Past, present and future all play a role

Sebastian and Ali are great together. I loved the play on their background and how it had a role in their relationship previously, currently and in the future as the epilogue showed. They are two excellent characters that are relatable and so caring.

I enjoyed meeting the four men in Levi and Harpers story. Sebastian’s story brings the four men back and we get to see how the new company is doing, but also see how Declan helps out Sebastian! As with all SC stories there some life lessons and back story information. For instance family dynamics, personal insecurities, and communicating with others are discussed with Sebastian and his father, the four men. Ali and her family and more. There are many great scenes in this book, but I think my favorite has to be how Sebastian and his father were at the gala. 🙌🏻

Loving this company and these four men. Can’t wait to read the next story and see how the guys and couples are doing❤️

Protecting the Enemy (The Protectors) by Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams
The one that got away has become the woman he can't live without.  Sebastian and Ali have history. Complicated, heartbreaking, bitter history.  Ali is determined not to repeat it.  Seb is determined to make it right.  Now he's caught up in a web of secrets, that is spiraling out of control and at the center lies his greatest regret.  Ali is a fighter. Disappointments and betrayals have made her the woman she is.  Independent, fearless and untrusting.  When a past she'd rather forget invades her present, her world will never be the same.  Protecting the Enemy is a story of redemption that thrives on an abundance of twists along the way. Drama and danger collide when the past meets the present.  A hint of danger packs a ton of heat.

Loved this book. After all this time Sebastian can't believe he's seeing the only women he ever loved.
It broke him when he said goodbye. He just didn't have any other choice.
He and his friends decided to come together after serving there country, and protect people further.
He's acting as bodyguard to a friend, and Ali is the event planner for said friend.

Ali can't believe after a little spying around the house the one man she never stopped loving Sebastian Maxwell catches her. She is at a loss. But she has a job to do, and to find something to
help her father. After all it was his father who ruined hers.

Sebastian and Ali have a past together. It seems they'll be saying a lot of each other.

What will happen now? They both have secrets. Will they be stronger? Wait and see.
Must read...loved this revised version.

Sebastian is a handsy one, "he slid his hands down until both of them were cupping my bottom. “Have you appropriately shifted gears to kissing me yet?” Sebastian could be so sweet, “sweetheart, we can go back to my hotel if that’s what you really want. but I’m telling you now, that I want you for myself for much longer than tonight.” I loved this book, I fell in love with Sebastian.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Re-release August 5, 2017

Protecting the Enemy was originally published as Honor Bound. It has since been expanded, revised, and re-edited.

Twelve years ago, I gave up the love of my life because my family made the relationship impossible. Now that Ali has come back to me, I'm not going to give her up again.

It's been years since I've seen her, and I know she's hated me all this time. I never expected to see her working as an event planner for one of my father's business partners. But here she is, always snooping around and getting into trouble. I'm supposed to be providing security, but I can't stop thinking about her.

She's up to something, and it might put her in danger. She sees me as the enemy now. Maybe I am, but I'm not going to lose her again. I might be hired to protect the man she's working against, but my heart only wants to protect her.

•••••••••

REVIEW: 3.75 stars--PROTECTING THE ENEMY is the second installment in the contemporary, adult THE PROTECTOR romance series co-written by Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams. This is former Marine and security specialist Sebastian Maxwell, and assistant events planner Ali Cooper’s story line. PROTECTING THE ENEMY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous installment is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: PROTECTING THE ENEMY is the re-release of the previously titled, 2014 release Honor Bound.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Ali and Sebastian) PROTECTING THE ENEMY is a second chance story line between former Marine and security specialist Sebastian Maxwell, and assistant events planner Ali Cooper. Twelve years earlier Sebastian and Ali were high school sweethearts, in love and planning for the future, but Sebastian came from money and Ali was not considered worthy of the Maxwell name. Dumping Ali days before heading to college found Sebastian losing the only woman he would ever love, a woman’s whose own life spiraled out of control a year later. Fast forward to present day where Sebastian will come face to face with his past-Ali Cooper-working the prestigious fund raiser for the well to do and influential. What ensues is the rekindling romance between Ali and Sebastian, and the fall out when the reasons for Ali’s presence is finally revealed.

The relationship between Ali and Sebastian is one of second chances- a rekindling romance between two people whose love and friendship was destroyed by greed, power and bigotry against the lower classes. Sebastian’s return to civilian life comes with the guilt of loss and his past but none more so than his treatment of the woman he left behind. The $ex scenes are intimate, fade to black and mostly implied.

We are introduced to Sebastian’s friends and business partners-Declan, Levi and Cole, as well as Sebastian’s father John Maxwell, and his business partner Ken Gentry; Ali’s fifteen year old sister Rosie, and eighteen year old brother Tyler, and their long suffering father Greg Cooper.

PROTECTING THE ENEMY is a quick read; a sweet and sexy story about friendship, love and the power of money, corporate greed and the potential fall out when the truth is revealed. The premise is energetic; the romance is passionate; the characters are spirited and real. PROTECTING THE ENEMY is an enjoyable story line.

Protecting the Enemy was another great re-read. I really enjoyed Honor Bound, the original book, and the edits and revisions and additions weren't as apparent to me in this one, but maybe because I enjoyed the original as well (the first book in the series has gotten an update as well and I enjoyed it much more once it had). It was another fun read from these two authors.

Ali is not where she always thought she would be. She has had to get a job and help provide for her family after the Maxwell's took everything away from her. First Sebastian hurt her when he left her so long ago, and then everything else that happened since then. She had plans to go to college and do something a bit different with her life, but she can't. Her family needs her. If only she can find something on those who hurt her family maybe she can make it right.

Sebastian is not really like the rest of the Maxwell's. He got out, joined the military and served his country. Now he is home and his dad expects him to fall in line and take his rightful place in the family company, only that isn't what he wants. Instead he started a security company with his buddies from the military. The brothers he served with. And things are just getting started when he runs into Ali. Ali who he had to break it off with so long ago, but who he never stopped thinking about. Ali who he genuinely cared for, but it just wouldn't work at the time. Now that he has found her again he wants to see if he can get her to forgive him and give him another chance. Now if only she would stop snooping around places she is not supposed to be. It is making things trickier than they should be, but he will also help her if he can and she opens up to him.

Now these two have some issues with communication that makes the road to happily ever after a little bumpy. They make assumptions based on past experiences and what other have done and they have to work a little harder to make things work, but I really enjoyed watching them try. It was a fun read and both of these characters were great. Now I can't wait for the updated third book!

Protecting the Enemy is book 2 in Samantha Chase’s Protectors Series and is a story of second chances.

Sebastian Maxwell has led a privileged life… he was born into wealth but hates everything that his family stands for. He spurned his father and the family business by joining the Marines. He is back home now and has begun a security company with three of his Marine buddies.

Ali Cooper is from a blue-collar family who lived paycheck to paycheck… the antithesis of Sebastian’s family. In fact, she attended the same private high school as Sebastian on a scholarship provided by his father’s company.

Their paths crossed and young love ensued. But once Sebastian’s father caught wind of the romance, they were forced to break up. The story picks up 12 years later when they are reunited while working on the same gala put on by a partner of Sebastian’s father. Ali has a beef to settle with the Maxwell Company and in her position as an assistant to the event coordinator, she is in a perfect place to gather the info she seeks. Sebastian, however, as the security coordinator is doing his best to keep her safe and figure out what she is doing!

The purpose of her snooping has Sebastian baffled but as they spend more time together, the truth is revealed and they realize the feelings they had for each other are still there. But will history repeat itself and keep them apart…. or will love triumph over all?

This is a great story of second chances both in love and in forgiveness. I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading the next in the series.

Finding Love Again! This is the second book in The Protectors Series. This is Sebastian Maxwell and Ali Cooper's story. This is a combination of enemies to lovers and second chance romance, so if those are the type of genres you like this story is for you.
Sebastian and his ex-marine friends have started a security business since they have returned home. While he is providing security, for a family friend, he stumbles onto Ali snooping around on the property. It has been 12 years since he has seen her and broke her heart. But he has never forgotten her and regrets, that he let his father force him to stop seeing her. As they become friends once more, Sebastian knows that this time he cannot let her get away.
But Ali is on a mission, she needs to get information to help her father and her family. Sebastian's father fired her father as well as other employees and then took their pensions away. Ali has to get evidence to prove they lied, about their financial situation. With her job as assistant to a party planner, she finally has access to the CEO'S property. Ali's family is dependent on her income to survive. Could this finally be the break she needs to get revenge for her father?
Will Sebastian help the love of his life, destroy his family? Will this be the end to their newly found love again? Or is Ali just using her friendship with Sebastian, so he will look the other way? You will have to read to find out.

A great addition to The Protectors series. While I wouldn’t necessarily put this in a romantic suspense category like book one, because I didn’t feel any suspense or danger involved in the storyline, it definitely stands out in the romance category. I absolutely loved Sebastian and Ali’s story. I’m a sucker for second chance romances, and Samantha and Noelle hit all the feels with expert aim.

Sebastian had to walk away from Ali, the love of his life, twelve years ago to protect her from his father’s devious demands and ultimatums. Now, she’s back in his life and he’s determined to make amends for the past. Their chemistry and desire for each other is just as strong as before, maybe more. The passion is hot and the sex is intense and meaningful. But when details of what has happened with her life during those past years comes to light, Sebastian finds more than he bargained for. How can his family do something so ruthless and cruel? But, causing more concern, is Ali only using him for his name and what he can do for her?

This is an emotional journey of finding lost loves and redemption from past mistakes. My heart was attached to this pair from the beginning. I laughed, cried, and loved right along with them. Samantha and Noelle, at the end, even opened my heart to a man I couldn’t stand through most of the book. Bravo, ladies! Well done! I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Sebastian has had thoughts of Ali for the last twelve years, since he left and broker her heart... but he did it to protect her. Sebastian's life is planned for him, high school, college and taking over the family business. So imagine his parents when he joined the Marines. After returning home from war and losing one of his best friends, Sebastian has no desire to work for his family. Instead Sebastian, Levi, Declan and Cole start a security business. While on the job Sebastian runs into his first and only love, Ali. Ali had her heart broken by Sebastian, but still thinks about him. After he left, her life fell apart. Her father lost his job, became depressed and started drinking. Ali had to quit college and get a job to support her family. While working she runs into Sebastian and old feelings stir for both of them. Ali show Sebastian proof on how his father cheated several of their employees out of their pensions when he left them go. She wants Sebastian's help and wants to take the information public, but Sebastian doesn't support that idea. After getting the proof from Ali, Sebastian confronts his father and in the process gets freedom from his controlling family. Sebastian and Ali are great together, they keep each other grounded and have wonderful chemistry. I really enjoyed this book and didn't want to put it down. I can't wait to see what Samantha Chase has in store for the rest of their friends.

3 1/2 STARS!

Former high school sweethearts reunited! There's a hint of danger, a sweet reunion, and pulling of heartstrings here and there. I had a good bit of trouble connecting with this couple in the beginning, but once they got through some of their issues, they became a little more open and easier to get a feel for.

Sebastian Maxwell has never forgotten his first and only love. Family pressure forced him to leave her behind, but she's never been far from his mind over the years. Now he's back home after years in the military and trying to pick up the pieces of his life. He can't believe it when he sees Ali working with an event planner at one of his father's crony's houses. He's in charge of the security around the place and keeps catching her snooping around in parts of the house where she doesn't even belong ... what's going on here?

Ali Cooper hasn't had it easy since Seb dumped her. The plans for life that she always dreamed of never managed to happen, and she's doing everything she can just to stay afloat day in and day out. When opportunity arises to possibly right a wrong, will Sebastian be willing to help her even the stakes are high for him, or will she be on her own yet again?

OH! MY! FREAKING! GOSH!!! (Sorry, Catholic upbringing…lol) SPECTACULAR!!!!!! I am soooooo loving this series!!!!
As I have stated in the past, I LOVE a good military romance. Now, you add in a “second chance at love” romance into the mix. LOOOOOOVE it. The capper, it is by two of my favorite authors, Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams. PHENOMENAL!!!!
OK, why are some men sooooo stupid??? I get why Sebastian gave Ali up 12 years ago. Yes, he loved her, and he was being noble and giving her up because….. STOP, no spoilers, sorry ladies. But why could he not tell her!?!? Now, it will be twice as hard to win her back, and Sebastian is determined to do so.
But then, there are Ali’s plans regarding her father. Those may put a wrench in the works….
Oh, how I loved watching them building the trust back up, despite of their fears. I loved watching them rekindle their love for each other. Each still a bit afraid to love the other.
Protecting the Enemy was also previously published under the old title of Honor Bound, and has been revised and expanded under new title.
I cannot wait for the rest of the series to be re-released at the end of August. I have loved EVERY word!
Thank you for reading my review.

The book is second in the series and is in my opinion better than book one.

Sebastian Maxwell has always lived in the shadow of his name. His father wants him to be something he's not and Sebastian can't seem to find his way out.

Ali Cooper is an ex girlfriend of Sebastian who has a problem with the Maxwell company having screwed her father and many others out of their pensions and 401k's. So when she gets the opportunity to sneak around a house that may hold answers she gets excited. Though she didn't expect to see Sebastian again.

I loved Sebastian. He seemed genuine and willing to help those he loves. He still has problems getting out from that name shadow and doesn't seem to try to hard to do so. It's more apparent when Ali finds what she needs and he doesn't want to help.

Ali is headstrong and does what she needs to to take care of her family since her dad is out of commission. She seems a little selfish and wishy washy about her feelings for Sebastian that they end up hurting each other to feel better about their own decisions.

Overall the pretext of this book is great but lacked a little depth. There seemed to be a pattern of the guys having guilty feelings about their friends death. While Levi's was spelled out, Sebastian's was never touched upon.

Sebastian comes from a very well to do family, and instead of enjoying a well off childhood, he's forced to give up the Ali, the love of his life. He tried to toe the line by going off to college in order to work in the family business, but he dropped out and joined the Marines. Now years later, he's home after Gavin, one of his best friends, died, and the rest of them are starting a security company. On one of their first jobs, he runs into Ali, and he quickly realizes that his feelings haven't changed whatsoever, but Ali is on a mission of her own, which could put her in danger. Even though she sees him as the enemy, he's not going to let her go again, but will he be able to protect her? This is the second book in The Protectors series, and while it could be read as a standalone, it's much better to read after Protecting His Best Friend's Sister. This very talented author duo has become an addiction, as I can't get enough of these men. Sebastian is another drool worthy alpha, while Ali is an amazing heroine. The twists & turns kept me on my toes, while dropping loud f-bombs, and more witty banter between the colorful cast of secondaries kept me laughing. I cannot HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Protecting the Enemy enough!

Sebastian is an only child who has never really felt part of his wealthy parent’s lifestyle. He joined the military after high school and has just opened a security firm with a couple of buddies he served with much to the chagrin of his father who wants him to join the family business.

Ali works for an event planner and is organizing a gala which is being hosted by one of the owner of the company that was responsible for the loss of her father’s pension and job. This was not her first choice of a career however after her father lost his job she had to quit school to assist at home.

Ali and Sebastian were high school sweethearts until he dumped her to join the military but what Ali doesn’t know is that he did it to protect her not because he wanted to. Sebastian was hired to provide security for the gala and once he sees Ali he is not prepared to let her go a second time. When Ali plans to use the gala to determine the reason for her father’s dismissal will Sebastian stand in her way or help her?

This is a second chance with your first love and the combination of drama, intrigue and chemistry make this an enjoyable read. I voluntarily read an advance copy.

This is the second in the series and it is keeping the five stars going! I thought I wouldn't like Sebastian because I expected him to be a rich, uptight, pretty boy who just wanted to flip off his rich family, but WOW I was wrong! There is so much more to him than you can imagine and every turn of the pages gives you another layer of him to love. He has always compared his women to the 'one that got away' but the only reason she wasn't in his life anymore was because of his family's interference. When his father throws The Protectors a cushy assignment, the last thing Sebastian thinks he will find is Ali, the one love of his life. Only thing is, Ali is not feeling the love because she feels that she misjudged Seb all those years ago and that he was just like his father. Ali is on a mission and is using her job to complete it, at all costs, but when she keeps getting caught by Sebastian, they need to fight their sparks, but also the suspicions they both have about the other. I loved reading how they worked through their past and got to the point they could see if a future was in the plans. This is such a terrific series!

Sebastian is a rich boy ex marine. Still grieving the loss of one of his best friends and fellow marines. He can not stand his father and wants nothing to do with the family business. Sebastian has decided to team up with a few of his marine buddies to start their own security company.
Ali is smart and hard working. She has been supporting her family pretty much since her father unfairly lost his job from the Maxwell's company. She is angry and wants to make things right. So when she gets a chance to look for information about her father losing his job, she jumps at it. This is where she meets Sebastian. Although she is attracted to him she tries to stay away from him because of who he is. Not to mention he catches her every time she is looking for information. Sebastian and Ali have so much chemistry, but with Ali trying to fight it, Sebastian has his work cut out for him. This is a great story about fighting for what you believe in, making things right, and most of all love. I love the way this story on folds and I especially love how it ends!

The premise behind the Protector series is a group of friends that came out of the military together & are forming a security business. Sebastian is from a wealthy family that wants him in a suit running the family business. While that isn't what he wants, he is not above using those connections to drum up some business for the security company. The first job is protecting a friend of his father's at the gala the family business throws every year. Ali is the assistant to an event planner in charge of putting on the gala. However, Sebastian's dad and friend also fired her father & screwed all the employees out of their pensions when they shut down one of the businesses they owned. Ali is snooping around trying to get evidence that the shut down was not on the up and up but Sebastian keeps catching her.

Ali & Sebastian don't seem like the perfect couple but it works. The authors do a good job of showing chemistry between them and making the relationship believable. The scenes are well set & the plot twists and kept me interested. An enjoyable read.

Protecting the Enemy by both Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams is the second installment to their new romance series. This book is another tale about second chances. A romance that existed but never got the chance to bloom until now. But there's plenty of obstacles to get through first. Love is messy, complex, and complicated. It can leave damage...

Hatred, anger, danger, and sparks ignite in this exciting book. I felt closer to these characters than the previous book. However, I still miss the full fledge magic that Samantha Chase always brings to her books. Seeing as this is co-written, it's hard to feel that magic that I'm so used to feeling. But it's still worth reading every damn page. I was engaged. Hooked. Intrigued by ehatwould transpire between the two protagonists. Writers Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams create a chemistry that lingers far after one finishes reading. Overall, I recommend this second title to readers everywhere. Protecting the Enemy is a contemporary full of heat and action.

I got this copy from the publisher. This, is my voluntary review.

Another awesome story written by Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams as they penned Protecting the Enemy, the second book in their Protector’s Series. These two ladies are definitely a dynamic duo in the author world. This is a second chance story between Sebastian and Ali. When he was nineteen Sebastian listened to his father and gave up the girl he loved. Fast forward twelve years and Sebastian is a body guard for Ali’s event planner friend. Ali is there to uncover information of Sebastian’s father, the man who ruined not only their relationship but also her family. Sometimes attraction and chemistry does not die with time and separation.

Protecting the Enemy is a great story with plenty of drama and danger. This is a story about redemption and second chances. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting it down. I recommend this book to other readers. It makes for a wonderful, light easy read. Although this book is part of a series it is a standalone story.

Redemption of Love

Having the weight of your family on your shoulders sucks and sucks the life out of you daily. Especially after having your dad and thousands of others wrongly left from they're jobs and your family is practically left in pieces. Ali is determined to right the wrongs by exposing the Maxwells has done to her family. Even if that means getting to resist her feelings for Sebastian.

Sebastian has secured a job for the guys' and his security firm that they decided to start in the first book. But his job is connected to his father which he hates much and wants to be free from his father's company so badly; with his father there are always strings attached. They are the same strings that ruined his relationship with Ali 12 years ago.

Both of them had to get their freedom in different ways. Sebastian had to finally cut his father loose by practically blackmailing his father with proof. And Ali by shaking the responsibility with worn her own father.

What do you do when you get out of the military and don't know what to do with yourself? You start a business with the guys who have always had your back and are in the same boat.

Sebastian and Ali have a history and have not seen each other since Sebastian had no other choice but to tell her they were over. Fast forward twelve years, his security firm is working the same party that the company Ali works for is putting together. Will they be able to overcome their past?

A great addition to The Protectors series. Noelle Adams and Samantha Chase create their own chemistry when they come together to write. In this series a little bit of romance, a bit of second chances, a bit of suspense, and some humor have all been part of the first two books. Can't wait to get my hands on the next book.

I LOVED this! This story pushed all my emotional buttons. A fantastic story of letting go of someone you deeply love so they can have the best life. When a second chance at happiness comes around you give it your all. That's what Sebastian Maxwell does and he's determined to have Ali in his life again.

Years ago Sebastian made a decision that affected their lives forever. Ali had no idea why she decided to leave her and her heart was broken. Now with Sebastian back in her life she's determined to protect her heart while using him to get information and at the same time getting revenge against the people who hurt his father and destroyed her family's life.

This is one for everyone's must read list. I highly recommend it.

I could not put this book down. A second chance of love. Seb, listened to his dad twelve years ago and gave up the woman he loved, Ali. Even though they were only nineteen. Fast forward, and Seb is back as a bodyguard for a friend that Ali is an event planner for, but Ali is there to find information on Seb's father, the man that ruined their relationship and her family. They soon find their love is just as fierce as before but will family keep them apart once again.

Loved this story of second chance romance and not giving up. Loved the revised version of this story. The second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. Love this dynamic writing duo od Samantha and Noelle.
