This was a very interesting book for a new diabetic to read. I don't know how many of the recipes I'll actually make but I plan to buy a copy for my great niece. She is allergic to a lot of sweeteners on the market today and this would be a good reference book for her.

Good recipes with a variety to choose from. I mostly use agave, honey or maple syrup and need recipes for that. I go to recipe books when I run out of idea on my own.

I have been a faithful follower of the Natural Sweet blog for quite a while and was quite excited to dive into their cookbook. I was very impressed with how this book turned out (though I must admit I miss the tempting pics they post of recipes on their blog). I have been sugar-free for several years and the natural sweet blog has kept me from feeling deprived. I've always felt that the girls know their stuff and they consistently think outside of the box, recreating and reworking recipes to make them healthier.
Many niche cookbooks like this fall flat because they struggle to be more than a one-trick pony but the recipes offered here are creative and wide-ranging. The cookies and cakes traditionally featured on the website are well represented here but they expand into areas like creative frosting varieties and so many decadent popcorn toppings that I know will make me very popular on my next girls' night. There are also some interesting savoury options like Lentil Lemon Cakes, Dairy-Free Mayonnaise, Soft Pretzels, and Rosemary Wheat Crisps. The Sweet Poppyseed Dressing has become a staple in my repertoire. If you are moving away from white sugar and its counterparts, this is a great cookbook for the collection.

Many recipes had lots of odd additives like xylitol which isn't exactly naturally sugar free in my opinion but others were good.
