Well, most of us have heard of the Illuminati, but how many know of the Ingenii? This is a secret and most powerful linage of gene mutated humans. Their dynasty is a legend and it continues on in Bloodpledge. A most enduring family has been gifted this nectar from a Celtic witch centuries ago which has the power to stop the aging process but must be used most delicately as rebel vamps are out to get their hands on it. This novel is a gem in that is has an awesome plot but gives you in-depth inf ...more

Its not a bad novel. I kinda got lost in the begining because it was the second book in the series. I won this as a giveaway. It does help that you read the first book before this one lol.

Laura was an ok heroine. I loved that she wanted to turn badass in the end. I thought her relationship with Alec was sweet.

Won this as a giveaway.

Bloodpledge is the second book in the The Dantonville Legacy. Even though it’s necessary to read the first book in the series, Bloodgifted, before delving into this one, Lacoba does an excellent job of reminding us absent-minded readers of all the essential details. I appreciate that Bloodpledge, like Bloodgifted, is a story in and of itself with a definite ending, although I’m still hanging on tender hooks waiting for the conclusion of the tale in the final book.

This series really has it all.

This book continues from the events of Bloodgifted, which is the first book in the series. Tensions are running high amongst the vampire community (the Brethren) in Sydney. They are at the edge of war. Allegiances are bring tested and no one can be trusted. Amongst this, Laura and Alec must develop their relationship and try to survive. It is an amazing read. I was privileged enough to have received a copy of the book to read before it's release. I read it in less than a week. I could not put it ...more

I have received this book in exchange of an honest review.
I enjoy the first book in the series so I was happy to read this one as well.
Bloodpledge is as good as Bloodgifted and I enjoyed it a lot. The characters are still great and wonderfully written.
I also enjoyed the plot. Tension is high throughout the story and amongst the vampires.
I think the book definitely brings a lot to the story and I was always conpletely interested in the book.

A well-written, fun and interesting book.

Like Bloodgifted, Bloodpledge book is an exceptional read that is beyond the normal vampire read. It didn't not disappoint. It stopped off exact ally were the other book finished and kept you on the edge of the seat! Actually the excitement grows stronger in the series.

Laura Dantonville Revelations everything that she new to be true is in fact a lie is her reality. Her life begins a roller coaster of adventure! This adventure steps right back in and begins deeper into plots and twist you would

I've been waiting on this book for a while now, and it was worth the wait in the end! I'm still loving how the characters are written and how (yes there are a lot to keep track of) BUT ......and this a big BUT ........ they each have their own personality and attitude.

Alec and Laura are still fighting things far more than Laura ever thought she would be facing in her lifetime. But instead of sitting back and taking it, she steps up and surprises everyone by wanting to learn how to defend hersel

Keeps getting better

It gets even better. Some of the Immortals have planned a rebellion which gains leverage after they find out about the Bloodvault where Luc has stored the first blood. Alec, Luc and the rest of the boys must fight Rasputin and Timur to keep Laura safe and qwell the rebellion.
When the first book in a series is as good as Bloodgifted, you don't expect it to get any better...........But this proved me wrong.

Hot damn I love this book!
Bloodpledge book 2 in this series and I still can't get enough!
The story continues from book one this time with the possibility of vampire umm Brethren civil war! The action and suspense build wonderfully and along with awesome characters, I found myself captivated and didn't want to put it down. I especially enjoyed the developing bond not just between Alec and Laura but Laura's relationship with her Parents.. (Mum and Papa).
I definitely can't wait to read the next b

After I read the first book, I had to order the second one. I love paperbacks and soon I will have the whole set. The main character, Laura, is likable and not helpless as in some paranormal books. She has a mind of her own, as we saw in first book when she chose Alex over Matt. I would pick Alec over Matt in a second. Alec treats Laura like a precious commodity. He worries about her safety and her comfort. She is loved by her adopted parents and her birth parents. Her best friend sticks beside ...more

This book took me awhile to read but I'm glad I stuck with it. The beginning was a little slow for me but the exciting ending made up for it. Alec's and Laura's journey continues in this second book. They face greater odds and more than just their lives are at stake. I enjoyed the twists and turns that the book took. It was great to see all the interactions with the various characters. The ending left me breathless and I can't wait to see what happens from here.

This series is soon good. I love the back story of how vampires came to be. And I love how all the characters came together through friendship, loyalty, and love. The love story was also my favorite. I hate books where the main character fights to not be in love with her so-called "enemy". I don't care if it's not realistic. Duh, people! And vampires are realistic? Reading is a gateway away from my mundane life. If I wanted something realistic, I would stick to non-fictions. As long as it can be ...more

I read 'Bloodpledge 'in a couple of days. My first thoughts are exciting, enthralling and nail biting. I love the originality of the story, which continues chronologically from 'Bloodgifted.'

Laura's independence and courage develop despite her human fears, as she moves closer to her destiny. Alec is the vampire with a conscience who is determined to fight against needless killing of humanity b
I liked the first book in this series and this second one picks up right where it left off in the first one and didn't disappoint.

Laura is still trying to settle into her new life after finding out about her true heritage. She is an Ingenii as well as being part vampire. She now resides with her father Luc and her mother Judy who is an Ingenii too.

Alec is the Primate who leads his Brethrens. He needs Laura's blood so that he can stay stronger and walk during daytime, unlike his fellow Brethren

Exciting new vampire series
Bloodpledge is the 2nd in the Dantonville Series and the first one I have had the pleasure to read. Although a continuation of Bloodgifted, it does make a fine stand-alone novel. It has been a couple of years since I last read a vampire novel after they reached saturation point and it was nice to come back to the genre.
Set in the sunny climate of Sydney Harbour, Australia, Bloodpledge offers some originality to the popular genre and the use of the Ingenii powers offers

The second book in the series picked up right where the previous one left off. It's one twist and turn after another, with plenty of romance and angst. I actually had to wait to read the last half because I knew I'd want to read it all at once. A well-written vampire novel with some interesting twists, I found myself more involved in where things were going to go than I had been in the first. I was glad to see Laura starting to kick butt rather than just waiting for Alec to rescue her, and I can ...more

I fell in love with this series after I read Laura's Locket and Bloodgifted. Tina Maria is an awesome paranormal writer and has become one of my favorite writers of vampire books. Before beginning Bloodpledge I did a quick read of Bloodgifted to refresh my memory. Bloodpledge is another amazing read, and continues where Bloodgifted left off. I can't wait for the next book. Tina Maria's talent leads to great descriptions of the events that are taking place during the story, I had a clear picture ...more

Lacoba has done it again! She's managed to spin a unique vampiracal tale with maximum tension and minimum "Twilight"! I read this book in two sittings.
I LOVE the character of Alec. He's a predator. A carnivore. Yet, he's tender and protective of those he loves. Should you cross him, he'll give you no quarter. I am beginning to like Laura more now that she's not only embracing who she is and where she came from but she's learning to defend herself. It was understandable in the first book that

A continuation of book one, this book is awesome. Laura and Alec are a great pair. With the Ritual done, these two have to deal with heartbreak, danger and love. They demand loyalty to Laura with The Pledge and the war is on. Alec is determined to keep her safe but she is equally determined to learn of to protect and fight. This book is action packed but also full of the love story between the two. We learn more about each charact

Read Bloodgifted first. This is the 2nd book in the series. You'll enjoy reading this book more if you've had an opportunity to read Bloodgifted first. I love books that grab me and keep me through the whole story. This is one of them. The only thing I dislike is having to wait for the next book.

another great book in this series. I really have enjoyed the story and the characters. Easy read but tends to hold your attention for a little longer than necessary - like through dinner and people are asking where the food is =) Ready for book 3!
