A Class Affair

Rate this book
Can a starving artist and a debutante really find love in each other's arms?

Not if her family, cut-throat suitors, and a hick named Roy have anything to say about it, in this complicated, college age comedy about friendships and love.

All Matthew Jessen wanted to do when he returned to New York City was make it through his final year of art school. Getting into another relationship was the last thing on his mind. Those were always wonderful, but distracting things. It's just too bad for him that his friends have other ideas about his love life. Especially the part where there's a complete lack of one. That just can't happen on their watch.

Matt, on the other hand, doesn't see the problem with it. Until a chance encounter with Taylor in a bar, that is. Is she the woman he's been waiting for all his life? The one who'll make him want to try again? Or does she have her secrets too?

Class differences, societal pressures, betrayal, and family interference go a long way toward derailing their efforts before they even begin.

But with a pot smoking hipster, a sarcastic nerd girl, and a muscle bound Casanova on his side, to “help” him find happiness, Matt has no choice but to try to figure things out, in spite of his own better judgment.

And try to fit into her world without losing himself in the process.

A Class Affair is a comedy about what happens when a boy meets a girl, and the lengths his insane friends will go to trying to help him pursue her.
