In a delightfully macabre continuation of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, Tomasso has brought new life - or rather, death - to characters more than one-hundred and thirty years old. This novella picks up on the Hispaniola's journey home with Long John Silver, Jim Hawkins, and Dr. Livesey; oblivious to the plague ravaging their homeland and taking their families with it.

Eat your heart out Stevenson, before one of Tomasso's undead does it for you. Treasure Island: A Zombie Novella is a s

Set in the days of Pirates, Pillaging and Plundering, Tomasso's Treasure Island adds a modern Zombified twist to a classic tale and what a great job he did combining these two popular genre's.

Being a Novella, Treasure Island is a quick read and much of the book sets the stage for the beginning of what could be an all-out Zombie apocalypse. Without the benefit of modern communication technology, the Pirate Protagonists' have no idea what awaits them when it's time to dock. All they can do is figh

Something is rotting in England and it is not Black Death or plague. Gnashing teeth and swashbuckling swordsman, I was sold at the get go. Join all your favorites -Trelawney, Benjamin Gunn, Captain Smollett, and Long John Silver on this classic retelling of the adventures of the Hispaniola into a world where Zombies meet pirates. Treasure Island is a very fun read. I found it engrossing so much so I lost track of time reading it. An unlikely hero in the end! Overall, this is a vibrant and intens ...more

This is a great story I know young adults and adults alike will love. The tale is told of pirates who encounter zombies. The story tells the tale from shipboard with the pirates and from a small town where loved ones of the shipmated live. Unfortunately neither group is immune when it comes to zombies. I found this to be a great adventure and a fun read.

Phillip Tomasso puts a fun twist to the traditional story of Treasure Island. I have never read Treasure Island, but I can honestly say I like this version better. Why? Because it has zombies! Can you see Long John Silver fighting zombies? Well, in this book he does, and he does it well.
