I am a big fan of mysteries (ever since I was young) and have really taken to this cozy mystery genre. They're fun and playful - and the main characters all seem to have a sweet side to them. They're a great book to just sit around lazily reading on a Sunday - they're easy and "cozy," and keep you reading until the book is finished.

This book is no different. I really like Patience and her best friend, Claire. They are a lot of fun and Patience has that sarcastic quality that I like i

This is book three in a series and I am not sure how I always manage to read these things out of order, but I do.

I was excited to realize that this was by the same author who wrote the Geek Girl’s Guide to Murder series which I really loved. I can see a bit of a correlation between the two series based on how the author built the world. Same family dynamics. I love the whole new age parents aspect. But do not be dismayed each series does stand on its own. It is eas

This book started with a little advantage for me, being set on Chincoteague Island, a place well known to and beloved by all fans of Marguerite Henry and Misty of Chincoteague. All resemblance to that childhood classic ends at the causeway to the mainland, however. Murder, mayhem and a dash of romance kept me fully occupied with never a pony in sight. Because this is Book 3 in the Patience Price series, there were things that confused me, and a lot of references to the chaos that had gripped the ...more

Murder in Real Time is a Patience Price mystery by Julie Anne Lindsey. It is a good book but a little slow in places. There are a lot of things going on at the same time and only one of them is important. You just have to follow the line.
Patience Price only wanted to live on Chincoteague in peace. She wanted a quiet little counseling practice, a nice place to live, and friends around for company. One friend in particular, Sebastian Clark would definitely be welcomed but she wasn’t sure if he wo

I really enjoyed staying up way past my bedtime reading this mystery-romance. The characters felt real, the dialogue sounded authentic, and the action moved quickly. I especially enjoyed this playful look at a modern family and humorous reflections on our foibles and contradictions.

A fitting end

Enjoyable. Funny. I didn't know who would turn out to be the culprit. It was a good twist and a fitting end to the trilogy.

This is an enjoyable series with characters that create havoc causing hilarious situations, and of course enough action and danger to keep you turning the pages until the end.

Patience is enjoying being back home, her counseling practice, or whatever you can call it, is going well, although she is unsure how to pay bills when most of her clients pay her in interesting ways. She is also having fun with her boyfriend Sebastian who is on the island for an extended stay until the he and h

I want to go back and read the first two books. I like the characters. The island setting. The mystery of what is going on. I like Patience's office of over the whole island. It was fun to watch them all try and figure out what was going on.

Patience Price has come home and going to council people her office is not built. She never knows when a patient wants help. They come to her buying lunch, drink no appointments. Patience dates a FBI agent Sebastian. Her landl
I didn't read the first two books in this series but it wasn't absolutely necessary. It might've helped a little but I didn't feel like I was missing any of the story.
Why grab this book? The cover reminded me of Ellery Adams' books and I like those so...
Patience Price lives in a tourist town. Living in one myself, I really appreciated the description, especially the relief that comes at the end of the season. I'm a little doubtful about the number of food trucks, but since an actual

I read the first book in this series, missed the second but had no problem picking up the story. There are a couple mentions to the events that took place in book 2.

Life in Chincoteague is going on, Patience is trying to practice her sort of therapy, her parents' business is booming, Sebastian is continuing his work with the FBI and Claire may be developing feelings for the sheriff. Adrian is running for mayor and a reality show is renting his home. Murder ensues with the reality fol

Murder in Real Time by Julie Anne Lindsey is the third book in this series and was a very enjoyable reading experience for me.

Patience, Sebastion, Adrian, Claire and Patience's parents are back to celebrate Halloween. These are characters that I would love to meet. The plot moved swiftly and all of the characters are involved in the action this time. Patience is still struggling with her mixed emotions regarding Adrian and her new relationship with Sebation. Her counseling services a

Watch OHIOANA Library Quarterly for a review.

Reality TV has come to Chincoteague Island where actors and fans are hunting for ghosts and otherworldly manifestations. When two of the actors are murdered, in Sebastian’s rooms at the B&B, Patience does her best to stay out of the investigation and the line of fire. For better or worse, she fails at both tasks and is dragged into danger that only increases as Halloween approaches. Interspersed with crime solving, Patience helps vario

This book is a captivating whodunit. Patience is a strong character and her friends are likable and make for a great story. The plot is fun and keeps you wanting more.I like how you get right into the story and it keeps you going from the start. I didn't read the first two books but will go back and read them.

Patience and her friend Claire always seem to find trouble and this time was no exception when they get mixed up in a murder. Sebastian is on the case to find the killer before

Fun characters, great island setting, and a mess of trouble for Patience. A great example of when 'reality tv' goes too far. Tuck this one into your beach tote or add to your TBR pile.
