I wasn't sure what to expect when I began this book, but I was soon drawn into the story and wondering where it would lead. It reminded me of some of the great Isaac Asimov's stories, where things are sort of backwards, if that isn't too much of a spoiler! The little robot runs away to avoid being "reset" which would wipe his memory of an interesting artefact he has found, and meets other "rogue" robots whom he befriends. I loved the metaphor for rebirth at the end. I prefer "proper" science fic ...more
