I bought this book for my son through our Elementary school because the author was coming and would autograph the books. It is an imaginative story about a teenage boy who is very intelligent and loves to invent things. Unfortunately his inventions never work properly, but his family keeps encouraging him to try again. He soon finds himself stranded on an secret military island with his brother and they have to use Eric's knowledge of electronics to escape.
